    And using your figure for per storage slot data size (6 bytes), let's be ludicrous for a second and say that the number of storage slots tripled to 600 and the number of players increased by five times with no player purging. 6 * 600 = 3600 bytes per player 3600 * 505000 = 1818000000 bytes = 1.69 G This is trivial in terms of drive space and more than possible in terms of server class system memory to hold the entire item in memory. If cost is an issue I'm sure that more than a few players would be happy to donate toward server hardware. Buying two dedicated drives for a mirrored storage volume and 2 Gig of additional memory for a server class system would come in easily under $800.   2. Wild Dragon

    A periodic terrorizing of C2 could be a good change. The dragon leaves its lair and roams about NRM for a while. If it remains undefeated for a period of time it moves to another adjacent map. Thus, it would be up to the players to put it back in its cave so to speak. If they don't it continues to roam about from map to map periodically. I'd love to see something like this added, and I'd still far from a match for the dragon alone or likely in most groups.

    Once the guild has paid the 1k gc to list the other guild as an enemy, members can become a combatant for free. There is no gc cost for a member of a warring guild to become a combatant.

    Even with a fully charged CoM, an FR cape, and a faster than normal regeneration room for a total effect of 5 mana restored per minute you will still run out of mana in short order when trying to actively level your magic between levels 27 (Life Drain) and 35. The experience needed to go from level 27 to 35 is 331,009 more than double the total experience the player has gained in magic already (142,243 for level 27). Even with the magic god experience bonus, this translates to roughly 2,200 life drain casts. And yes, Life Drain is currently the most feasible means of attaining these levels. Each cast costs 20 mana, each SR restores 20 mana. However the cooldown on an SR is about 23 seconds. Let's assume each cast of Life Drain takes approximately 6 seconds (that's exceptionally slow in most cases). So, let's take an average player with 80 EP add a CoM (+150 EP) and we have 230 EP assuming the CoM is fully charged. Now, the player is casting at roughly 4 times the speed of mana recovery via SRs. So, three out of the four the casts are depleting his/her actual mana pool. Thus, the 230 EP of our player will be fully depleted in, well let's see: Life Drain & Drink SR - 230 EP (0 seconds) Life Drain - 210 EP (6 seconds) Life Drain - 190 EP (12 seconds) Life Drain - 170 EP (18 seconds) Life Drain & Drink SR - 170 EP (24 seconds) Life Drain - 150 EP (30 Seconds) Life Drain - 130 EP (36 seconds) Life Drain - 110 EP (42 seconds) Life Drain & Drink SR - 110 EP (48 seconds) Life Drain - 90 EP (54 seconds) Life Drain - 75 EP (1 minute, +5 EP for cape and room) Life Drain - 55 EP (66 seconds) Life Drain & Drink SR - 55 EP (72 seconds) Life Drain - 35 EP (78 seconds) Life Drain - 15 EP (84 seconds) Oh, look the FR cape and fast regeneration room had zero effect on the time to deplete the crown. I don't know about you, but less than 90 seconds doesn't strike me as ages. After the CoM has been drained, you are at the mercy of the SR cooldown. And every 4 minutes you get a free cast. This is still extremely slow. Edit (and fixed typo above): So, now with your 15 casts out of the way you're looking at only needing another 2185 casts. With SR cooldown that's only 50,255 seconds left. That's 837.58 minutes, or 13.96 hours of straight casting LD, drinking an SR, and waiting for cooldown. Sure the cape and room may cut a little of that time off, but it's not going to be much in the grand scheme of things.

    Looks like the vote has pretty much dead-locked with neither side reaching a majority. Does this mean no change or do we wait to see if one side ever attains a majority?

    I've been noticing what appears to be a problem with the CVS and transparencies. If an item is transparent (or partially so) you can see through the next item after it. How it should look (using current release client): And how it looks with the current CVS build (checked out a few minutes ago): In the second screenshot you can see that the bush is now green not white and if you look at the tree branches you can see the bucket that should be obscured by the bush. Effectively, you're seeing through the bush because of the tree.

    Just installed the toolbar and it appears to want to load every page in a new window. Would it be possible to have a configurable option for getting it to load pages in a new tab instead. The font for the Player Stats and Player Rank fields appears to be different sizes or something. There doesn't appear to be a way to add other guild home pages to the toolbar. It would probably be useful for players to be able to add their own guild to this section. You might also consider adding a combat level calculator to the toolbar.     There appears to be a similar problem with male human headgear. When viewed from the back the headgear appears to be shifted slightly to the right of center. In the case of crowns this results in what appears to be a lock of hair over the crown on the wearer's left side and a gap between the crown and the wearer's head on the right side.

    Others don't ever post on market. I know my bot doesn't. And, yes it is a trade bot.

    A total of 3K out of the monster, divided three ways would only be 1k each. I'm not suggesting that the per person XP amount be greater through any party method than it would be if they were able to solo the monster. I'm just saying that I believe the game could benefit from some party mechanics getting people to work together as a team more often. I don't believe that my suggestion would result in the members of the group getting more individual experience than they would if they were able to solo the creature. It would likely result in a combined total greater than that gained by a single individual soloing on the creature. This is similar to several people taking the same class. They can either take it individually (soloing) or as a group (party). Frequently, people will get more out of a class when there are other students in the class. Thus the sum of experience for the class is greater than the experience of an individual taking the class alone. Does this make sense or am I just babbling?
  21. Exping in teams

    Why not add additional experience for parties? As long as they are all a member of the same party (established through some join/accept action) and within a specified range of the enemy target(s) then their actions could result in a small percentage award to the other members of the party (say 10% of their personal action XP to each other member directly to overall or the skill in question). For example a group with two fighters, a mage remote healing them, and a mage casting harm on the monster. One fighter would be directly engaged with the enemy getting both att and def experience. The other would be supporting getting just attack experience (unless there were multiple enemies). Say each successful attack was awarding 100xp, each party member (other than the attacker) would get an additional 10xp to OA. As for potential abuse you could require that party members be within a specified range of OA levels (5-10 or something). Thus no grouping of OA 80s with OA 10s.

    Running CVS build checked out this morning (few minutes ago) and the restore spell no longer has any SFX. Changing back to a build from yesterday shows the restore effect.

    This has been suggested several times and is even being attempted by some. Any mass listing service done by a bot is bound to fail. Main reason is that many bots provide player specific pricing. That is prices on items are different depending on who the bot is talking to.
  24. Poison Rings

    Ring? I don't like it as a ring, but as a potion (liquid) that is added/applied (use with) on a sword? Yes. The effect could last for a limited time (poison drying). Then any time that sword does damage while the effect is in place it has a chance of poisoning your opponent. Each instance would add just like each instance of the toadstool poisoning.

    Can I get a list of the options that should be enabled? I've been compiling CVS builds for Windows users and would like to make sure that I'm only using the options that will be in the official client.
