Not sure if you realised, but Eternal Lands is just a game. A GAME. You claim you are of higher moral/ethique standards than folks from PKG. You're in your right to claim so (as they are in their right to claim otherwise, "it doesn't really matter"). Yet, you're taking it personal. That's pretty lame. Self-proclaimed Robin Hood who acts like a freaking brat from a sandbox. Just curious, where are your standards?

Gonna love people breaking the so-called community rules for the sake of punishing people breaking the mentioned so-called community rules. Shall we expect people breaking the obnoxious so-called community rules to punish people breaking the so-called communited rules for the sake of punishing people breaking the mentioned so-called community rules? I kind of like this idea. Though, I would go with limiting it to 1 satchel per essence type and maximum of 25 essences in each of satchels. Maybe make it just 4-5 satchels to be carried at once?

I agree with you, scarr. You don't need the best gear to train. I'm doing well in my augmented leather set for a while now. However, you need good stuff to enter and enjoy instances (probably, never cared to try one) and you need good gear (as a rule) to enter an invance. Unless you are prepared to lose it this or that way, you're forced to have a rostogol stone. As for the original suggestion. I do not see a way providing different rostogol stones for different levels change anything. Unless you make the ones for lower levels easier to find.

Not likely. Bans aren't given based on heresay. (Also I suggest we be careful on recommending bans. Bans for offering "false" or unproven information would be rather intriguing and I think might bite you back on who you are trying to defend on this one. ) As far as I know I: 1. Haven't suggested banning anybody. What's more, I do not consider banning the only possible punishment. Never had, never will. There have been better ways of doing so in Eternal Lands a few year ago. 2. I stated that I consider providing false information for the sole purpose of getting anybody into trouble as wrong as breaking rules itself. Once again! This is MY opinion. I never claimed it was/is/will be an official interpretation of the game rules and/or opinion of the game owners/admins. 3. I do not think that the sentence you have quoted had been defending anybody, though I see where it came from. I find it somewhat ridiculous. If somebody isn't able to keep their top secret channel number a secret they derserve no help. Set as a default - it prevents from any unintentional mispost of the channel number. There is no freaking way to prevent misposting messages between channels. Oh! Wait! There is a really simple solution - keep only one channel open if you ain't able to deal with more.

I dare to disagree. People who are banned from bots hardly care about it, usually. Personally, if I got banned from a bot for any reason I would keep doing exactly same stuff that got me banned. I would agree with vanyel, but when i have a look at channel 6 and see how many ppl there can't properly post in channels od do #gm's, i might think, that the idea of password protected channels might be useful... I don't really see any way it would help them. What I can imagine, though, is a constant spam of "password retrival" whine

Agreed. @Learg I do not think newbies should be allowed to pick-up Haidir or any other a/d boosting quest. They should have their time to learn anything about the game BEFORE they start the grinding madness.

I don't really care about their overoptimistic self-esteem. If there is a protected species it should be possible to recognise by everybody, shouldn't it?

Lovely thread. For various reasons. Nevertheless, I see no reason to make #privacy on default. I doubt it would help to protect newcomers. Personally, I would love to see a definition of a newbie. More! I would love to see them marked with a different nick colour or some symbol next to their nick.

What about people who work their arses hard to get enough s2e to mine hydrogenium? Shouldn't they have a "Peace Day Stone", too? C'mon. Why would WTF instancers (or any other instancers) get any better treatment than the rest of the community?
