Yer! Amar attacked me like 18 times in KF! He used harm and I didn't even get near him...

If you run windows, try one of these, at your own risk http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=681000 The latest macbooks have new vid cards so I can't find many updated drivers for them. Anyone else know how to help?
-
That is strange. Maybe one of the techies here can help you. Try googling NVIDIA GeForce 9400M drivers, and find the lastest one for your mac.
-
Update your graphics card driver. When I used a Nvidia GeForce 2, the best driver that worked for EL was a Detonator 23.11. Search google for the best driver for your card. EL should run just fine. What kind of graphics card do you have?

I managed to get CNET to publish Eternal Lands on their downloads section. Lots of people visit the boards, so hopefully that translates into downloads and more people. If you have spare time, leave a postive review for the game so people will download it. Here is the link: EL on CNET
-
Ok, I changed the description and it should be approved soon. I also submitted the game to the Macintosh section of CNET. Thanks for all the positive reviews! Keep 'em coming! Lets drown out the nay sayers! EL ROCKS! * Now, EL is in the Mac section to Here! EDIT: Both MAC and PC CNET downloads updated to 1.90.

Within 3 days, total downloads 18! Help the nooby invasion on IP!!! On a side note, why are EL players leaving bad reviews????
-
Omg. Someone left a review and only 4/5 stars?!??!? K, we need to form a posse and PK whoever left the 4 stars instead of 5.
-
Try the French or German mirrors for download. The UK download mirror doesn't work.
-
Gosh. I swear they didn't have the options for linux and mac. I listed the main EL site so people can always download from there. I'll repost a review saying that EL also runs on linux and Mac os.
-
I noticed that too. And I use windows. I think the UK host has corrupted installation files.

1. Firewall 2. Maybe your IP got banned?

New Monster ideas (and what they should drop)

I would like to see zombies. Perhaps there could be a zombie island, and if you die there, you become a zombie. -
Alright DragonGod!

Cathuga, I have 2500 HE's, 800 SR's, and 500 DE's you could have free. Maybe you and Paulb can split the amount and go hunting goblins togethers.

I really enjoyed reading some of Radu's blogs and the trials and successes of creating this game: you can find them by searching google or here: http://www.devmaster.net/articles.php?catID=7

Improving gameplay and Financially Supporting EL:
Aetius posted a topic in Suggestions - General, Misc.
Hi, I really like this game. It reminds me of games that I played when I was younger. Anyways, I was wondering if developer people could implement a convert money to gold feature. In other words maybe have an ability to buy gold in your EL shop. I do not know what ratio would be good for you guys but I am thinking that this game centers around earning gold coins, so this feature would help us nooberts. And it potentially could greatly support the game developers, Thanks -

Ok thanks. -
Hi, I noticed that EL was not listed on CNET games download. Perhaps you can submit it: http://upload.cnet.com/ * Ok, I tried to create an account at CNET to upload the game. I'll keep you guys informed. * 9/22/09 EL has been submitted to CNET Games. Expected approval date: 9/29/09

Yes! The stock market idea I like a lot! And the gladiator idea. Betting on winners in arenas. Perhaps also, to make the bot owners have an incentive to manage their bots and the pricing, there can be a GC to $. Nothing to make a living off of though. But a slight incentive to reward people for having successful bot businesses.

I am a noob. I do not think any noob cares or even knows to care about pk or player levels or attributes or capping levels. I cannot emphasize more, the need to decrease the steep learning curve and make it easier for beginners to level up and get gold. Walking around killing rabbits and rats, is a great incentive to leave and find another game. Also, I like the idea, "Adopt a noob" It makes a huge difference for more experienced people to help out the nooberts, the people who wander aimlessly about in IP, by giving them advice or even giving them a sword. I mean, who wants to play a video game where you are getting killed by brownies?!! And see tons of midgets called ants everywhere, and people meditating? In any case, this game is very lovable. And I enjoy it, * Also, I read through a couple of previous pages. I think EL can be greatly improved if the economy or the ability to make gold, was simpler and easier, or fine tuned: there needs to be more avenues to make money for beginners. It's in the economy me thinks. EUREKA! I think this game needs a Stock Market. Why not implement some sort of betting or hedging feature? 1. Betting on players in arenas: Can add player vs. beast or bot. Like gladiators. Would make arenas useful and allow people to earn money quick, or lose it too. 2. Stock market: allow bot owners to adjust prices for each item. Allow people to invest in "bot stocks" or portions of the value of the bot's holdings. Each investor gets a share and a dividend if the bot owner manages the bot successfully. If not they lose money. This feature would allow smart nooberts to earn money. | If bots are not possible, maybe allow the experienced members who can manufacture or tailor or make potions, have storefronts in which they can sell their goods. And people could buy virtual stock in these companies. 3. Free storage and healing is capped for experienced players. Why not implement as a last resort, a fast way of earning money on Isla only, and once the player reaches a certain level he can no longer access the feature: maybe have a bot seller in IP that is subsidized.
