    full ack with Korrode, and if it needs another reason why BROD is bad, its the baby-talk about brod-tagging other ppl/guilds in the official channels..... (i br0d t4g y0000!911!!)

    In fact, if the economy really needed the BROD to function, then something would be very wrong.

     

    still it would be better to avoid the suggestion forum for the first months of playing, if you are a newbie (no offense).

    you probably noticed, that many ppl now wear the new mage robe, since it has good features.

    Currently it seems that you only need enough money to have and wear one, nothing else.

     

    My proposal is, that things like the mage robe should have some condition for wearing it, like e.g. magic nexus 3 or e.g. magic level 50.

    Of course i know that we have human nexus for that, but if we have items, that are kind of specific (for mages, for rangers etc.) it might be a good idea.

    The downside is ofcourse, that some ppl will complain, that they cant wear this or that, but at the same time this is one of the upsides imho.

    Another advantage is that you could level a bit the use of really good items, like ice dragon armor. If you needed a/d > 100 for it, then you would probably see less people use it for harvesting purposes.

    If you make things oa level dependent, you could narrow down the stuff that people can use after resetting and so on.

    I think that only few items should be 'restricted' that way, but i think it could add to the atmosphere of the game and to the identity of the chars.

     

    So there are many possibilites and the implementation seems not difficult imho.

    Now what do you think ?

    1) its absolutely normal and understandable, that the ingame price for items, that you can (nearly) only get from the $-Shop is constantly rising. The reason is, that ingame inflation (gc) is higher than RL-inflation ($)

     

    2) its absolutely ridiculous to blame ppl for making an offer thats way out of normal price range: you just dont buy from them

     

    3) if learner buys up many rostogols ingame (for gc), then this could be countered with buying more rostos from the shop, BUT:

    - not everyone buys from the shop. ppl who dont buy from the shop are affected by a (temporary) scarcity and complain

    - ppl who buy from the shop with the intention to sell them ingame have a (temporary) benefit from the higher price they can sell for (to learner)

     

    as long as learner buys all rostos the pressure is on the players to buy rostos from shop for themselves OR buy them and place them on their bots and ban Learner from those bots (and dispense with the extra gc).

    More or less what learner does is selling gc from the shop at 11k per 1 $ (iicc). Lets see how long he can supply that :)

    childish actions, both Learner's and the boycott. Personally i dont care much, just wont go to invasions for the time.

     

    The market in EL is not robust against such things, because its way too small and chars have no real needs (and other things).

    For example you could have a char that only harvests silver all day and then uses his GCs for some irrational market demonstration and spoils other players fun for some days....really good job.

    Oh and full ACK with Nova, player community was really short of collective educational punishment the last days.

    you can easily train up to ogres w/o COL. If you are not hit often, you could even use MOL instead.

     

    so your A/D is 35/41 and your attribs are p/c/v 16/20/8

    so i'd try fem gobs now or stay with large gargs until you can have coord 24

     

    having coord 24 try armed male gobs (sedi) and fem gobs still.

    then switch to fem orcs when its convenient.

    Might be you need bit more coord (up to 28), depends.

    complaining about prices ? welcome to RL :)

     

    but seriously, most complaints are just wrong.

    For my BD armor i collected and bought all the ingredients myself, even the rare ones and then asked Holar to make it and he did for a fair price (saving stone secured).

    I cant see how he abused his manu levels in this.

    Maybe you other high level manufacturers are only not as visible with your service offer?

     

    Next time i need manu service i'll have a close look who responds on chan3.....

    i disagree with the proposal to restrict everyone to one char.

    One aspect: how would you control that?

    Another aspect: as long as redistributing PPs is that difficult, you practically force ppl to create different chars over time imho.

     

    and i also disagree with the point to either kill BM or do nothing - thats not how things work.

    If there was a possibility to make BM less attractive with a combination of measures, then we should do that imho, even if it doesnt get rid off it completely.

    latest changes to the harv med were great!

     

    now todays update even lowers breakrate, thats absolutely positive imho.

     

    For flowers they are a must imho, on ores and quartzes you might want to put it off, if you dont want to invest so much gc, but the main thing is: if you dont like them, dont use them :-)

    I think they are vey well balanced now (even before todays update).

     

    It might be worth thinking about a higher NPC price for the seridium bar (now 7k) in order to encourage the seridium harvesting more (dunno if that was ever considered).

    Just one addition from my side: i'm currently 80/81 a/d and i train lions instead of cyclops/armed orcs, because i am of the opinion that lions have less criticals and thus break less armor. Is this right ?

    The problem is, they never leave the game.

     

    this might be a theoretical problem, but in fact it is not a problem. The market tells us the value and if we had too many NMTs they wouldnt cost 340k , its as simple as that.
