  1. Tips and Tricks

if you find someone who gives you 900k for the 60 AP first
  2. NMT idea

the proposal to remove brod was connected with making NTMs breakable, i think thats a valid point of view. And i fully agree to what i made bold in what asgnny said. regards,
  3. NMT idea

making NMT breakable comes for myself at a very bad point in time, since i just worked some months to afford my first one. Besides this (i know you dont care), there is but another point that wasnt mentioned: NMTs are currently dropped by monsters that are more or less only trainable by ppl that already _have_ an NMT cloak. For example, i just started to train fluffies, but my a/d isnt that high that i could do it without good armor. So when a player is at that stage he needs to buy an NMT. If it breaks he needs to buy(!) another. People who train fluffs in the 100s a/d can train those crits without any armor at all for ages. So in this aspect lower chars are disfavoured more and higher chars will have only few probs with it. If we ever have a poll about that, it would be nice to know a/d lvl of the voters. On the other hand i dont really understand, where the current problem is where NMT isnt breakable (but can be BRODED). NMTs are still ~340kgc on the market so where is the need to change it? And: is it intended to make NMW cloak unbreakable in turn as mentioned? regards, Gilrain
  4. LION GUILD BROD

camping in KF with virtual gf and complain ? LMAO
  5. Re-adding the Day of no Grief

my vote is NO acid rain is a day that only affects noobs when they discover something precious that breaks. after that stage its only annoying, not a challenge. Pls by all means dont make this game more annoying, but more challenging only.
  6. if its a moderate change, probably nothing severe is going to happen. Still it leaves me with two questions: first: weighing a/d more than PP seems to me like favoring the invested time (for combat training) vs. the (potentially) invested money (for PP buying either with gc only or with real $ involved). Doesnt that mean we are having less $ in the provess and isnt that reducing income for the game maker, too in the end? At least it favors the high end chars that are often sold and bought and have been trained for ages vs. chars that are not that old but their players invest more money. (neutral view intended) second: although i know this game is beta, it forces its players to plan for years ahead, since its also a very challenging game. I miss a bit the long term perspective of the planning, especially now when the future of PPs is discussed. Maybe its a good idea to connect this discussion about the role of PPs in combat with the other ideas of renovating the PP system (but ofc not in this thread). Luckily my own char is not that advanced to have a problem with any changes. regards, Gilrain
  7. Magic Removal Auction

(borrowing Raistlins words:) After endless hours of harvesting i found a Magic Removal stone Starting price: 400k (bots pay that) Increments: 5k Buy it now: 700k Auction ends on 12th October (Monday) 15:00 GMT +1. 8. Magic Removal Auction

    *closed*
  9. this discussion doesnt touch the problem imho. As long as ppl buy characters that were levelled for years, i dont care if the a/d levels are bought or their PPs are. Both is crap, if you face those ppl with a 'normal' char.
  10. Magic Removal Auction

    anonymous ingame bid of 560k
  11. HE, why arent they made?

double ack. to compensate for that the customers should harv more silver as it was proposed... regards
  12. Shocker is a thief

jsut for the information of other (and new) players: Dont trust the char 'Shocker' (in guild FSM as of now) He stole some loot from us in yesterdays invasion (bagjumping invisibly). If you need proof, ask ryddler or molime, they witnessed it. best regards, Gilrain
  13. Repairable Dragon Armor

But that's what saving stones are for, Gilrain. yes ofcourse, but this is not relevant here imho. The cost of successful repair is determined by the number of scales needed. The cost of unsuccessful repair is capped by saving stones - thats 2 different things. If you adjust degrading rate and adjust number of scales needed for repair, you have every freedom you need. The relevant cost is (or should be) the cost of successful repair imho.
  14. Repairable Dragon Armor

This sort of comment is a guaranteed way to not get the repairing happen. It is complete utter... fail. thats your opinion, the other is mine. PLs respect my opinion as i respect yours. Failing of repair should imho result in loss of the scales and the other things you need to repair the item, but not in loss of the damaged piece you want to repair. All other things can be adjusted by the number of scales needed for repairing. regards,
  15. Repairable Dragon Armor

if the repairing process doesnt have a chance of complete loss of the damaged piece (unlike with Tankel and HB), then i vote yes.
  16. Dragon armors

yes. not only is it nice from the RPG view and the skilled players (here manuers), i also think that increased possibilities are good for the market. Of course the amount of scales and the other details must be balanced, but that can be adjusted after some experience.
  17. How to enter the instance

i'll try to give a short description of the preparations for joining an instance team, maybe we can develop some FAQ or such out of it: (referring to the noob instance so far from my experience) 1) Which items you need and how many Necessary: * SRs and HEs (16 HE for 5 SR, so roughly 3 times more HE than SR) * Diss rings (at least 10) * Good armor set (Steel/Tit/Dragon) - Iron set is not enough imho * COL * a good weapon (JS, Cutlass or better) Optional: * rostogol stones (if you die w/o rosto, you drop out of the instance and lose a deathbag that your teammates must recover) * mule glyph and creature food (recommended, see below) * mirror cloak (highly recommended) * MOL or moon med/uni med * EMPs are nice, but expensive, so your choice * BP cloak * NMT cloak * Defense Potions (or similar potions to increase your armor/defense/accuracy/evasion) * tele essences, if you have good diss/tele practice (TTR might help you in case you are ganged by mobs) * a few GHP might help you in case of emergency * some Matter Essences to cast Shield (not really necessary) Team: * one of the team should bring a bow (NOT crossbow), since you'll get arrow drops (in noob instance at least) * 2 or 3 of the team should bring a skull and a skeleton key for the hyperbag 2) How to mule into instance Since you cant restock in the instance, it is wise to bring as much items as possible when entering it. With using a mule glyph you can bring at least 10% more of your carry capacity into the instance. You need 1 mule glyph and 1 creature food for that. I give an example: My current EMU is 600, so after i filled up with stuff completely, i want to mule an extra 60 HEs (600*10%=60 EMU) into the instance. So i goto the MM battlehall and drop a bag near the NPC (and near my fellow instancers) with stuff for 60 EMU. Then i go back to MM sto and refill with the additional 60 HEs and go back to the battlehall (within 12 minutes bag poof time of course!). There i can sit and refresh my bag until everyone is ready. Now to turn into a mule, you need to put all your armor/clothes you wear into your inventory first. Then you use the mule glyph and thx to your creature food (in inventory!) you have some seconds to grab the stuff from your bag. Then you just wait to turn back from being mule. Now you are carrying 110% of your EMU (!) and therefor cant move from the spot you sit on. This is the point when the group leader will talk to the NPC and bring the group into the instance. Once in there, you just drop the extra stuff (10% of your EMU) and the fun can begin. Usually the team will make one joint hyperbag from the extra load in order to restock later. 3) Recommendations for your char * having magic level 49 (no-fail restore) is highly recommended (but not necessary) * ofcourse your a/d should be as near to 80s (for noob instance) as possible * high p/c/v is useful, but the monsters tend to turn to the one with lowest defense (armor+def level) and they will hit you anyway 4) remarks * most important is to bring many SRs and HEs, so dont waste EMU with too many other potions or fancy stuff * an instance team is formed by joining a unique chat channel (which is given by the team initiator e.g.), you must be in that channel (and have it as active channel), to be transported into the instance, when the team leader speaks to the NPC * if you have enough Creature Food, you can also use the mule glyph at MM sto already and load up with everything and goto Battlehall as a mule. This way you dont need to calculate your emu gain and go twice.
  18. Custom Clothing

It would have been more appropriate to ask a mod cmon, this is a bit ridiculous and unfair to Looter as well. He paid for that service and already removed it. Why not write MOD on the mod capes, if you dont want misunderstandings. I didnt even know, that mods have a special cape up to now, so i dont think there is any real harm or damage based on that cape design thing. relax, Gilrain PS: might be good to point players to a compilation of those 'extra rules', if you really want to ban ppl based on them
  19. Summoner Related Changes

i voted NO there, because i think none of the ACWs should have TS, not even the invaded ones. full ACK to this one!
  20. Summoner Related Changes

i'd think it should be that _magic_ level determines the power of Smite|Heal summon spells. and Summoning level determines a summons smite resistance based on masters summon level seems more fitting, just my0.02
  21. Shocker is a thief

its not violating the rules of EL, thats right, and noone said so. I just posted it to inform others, that he is not trustworthy, thats it. If its "OK" or "normal" to act like that , thats up to you to judge, but thats not important for what i posted.
  22. More Allarounders in the game

if you want more allrounders in the game, then favor the allrounders, not the onesided pk'ers. I have invested some points in nexuses and it was my choice, cause i think its more fun that way. I still think, i'm a bit an allrounder but with focus on fighting. If some 'pure' fighters have no fun in the game when they reach some level, thats certainly more a problem of fighting/pk part of the game, not the nexus part. So we should think of changes in that field. Why e..g not favor fighting in a group more compared to fighting alone, then the need to be the one top PP buyer would be reduced maybe. The proposal, that you make, just questions the whole PP system. To rethink that system is probably a good idea, but the proposed capes are not a good idea imho. Rethinking the PP system could involve introducing 2 kinds of PP and diversify the whole skill system that way, but this will be a bigger debate.
  23. Lenny / Invasions channel

i just wanna say a huge thanks to Entropy for considering this suggestion and letting lenny announce in channel 8 now as well.
  24. Storage Sale

    nvm
  25. Lenny / Invasions channel

i support the wish to separate invasion/lenny from pkcentral channels. Its not the problem _who_ is talking, but that pk chat makes no sense most of the time, except you are in KF to watch while reading. @conavar: there is a difference between that and someone announcing his new harvest level. The last is equally relevant (or irrelevant) to everyone, but comments about some pk fight taking place in some pk corner are not.
