I do understand the views of people under 40, cause I am just barely 40 now. But I honestly see it as this: It doesn't take very long to level from 7 (the a/d of newbs now) to 60 IF people were fighters. I could be that and then some if I wasn't pure mixer. With the daily quests, I get almost a level a day... If I trained a/d... well I could get a lot of level si believe. So I look at it this way... if you WANT 60 a/d go get it... otherwise, you just can't participate in many invasions, cause understand why there aren't a lot of low leveled ones. I wish honestly there were more, I agree, but I also can see WHY there isn't... Just please, trust me, if you know what you are doing, it wont take long to 60, I swear. EDIT: I honestly believe it's faster to level a/d than harvest, so if you have 60 harvest levels, I think you could get 60 a/ds

I think the EFE rates were increased... that or I am extremely lucky, since my return (7/5/2010), I have made maybe 5k and gotten 3 EFEs.. Also I made 2k WEs and got 2 EWEs (in same inventory mix, that was cool), I think this is normal for the EWE though.

I'd like to point out something, while it's not always the best thing to do, MOST people do learn things by trial and error, I know a LOT of people when they build something they don't read the instructions, perhaps games are the same way. I have learned how to function without manuals, cause lets face, I am a poor SoB that buys used games where the manuals are missing. So yeah... I understand the reading part, but don;t get upset if people want to try to "wing" it before looking it up, in fact that's normally what I try doing first, then I try to read up on the task I am trying to do if I can't do it, and if that don't work, there is always a friend... I was raised on learning without a tutor, because my teacher failed to teach me pass a certain point. So I am used to doing it this way. It's not a bad thing, but like many have mentioned, people are excited to play the game, a half hour- hour of reading is just not on their mind. Just for your FYI, I do read a lot, cause I am older and actually like the RP aspect of the quests. EDIT: I forgot to mention, I got to see the newbie quests on the pk server, and I think they are a lovely addition! I leveled pretty decently.

Can you have NPCs spam the youtube URLs? I like the hint ideas. Maybe you can have it where you can type "#hint" for the last hint you received. Not as many people sit in IP like when I was a newb... too bad. Perhaps I shall go there one of these days and make some new newbie friends.

I like the design as it is. ON Topic: Any game is over whelming to new players. It's hard to learn. I thinking asking for help is the best idea if you start playing a game, thus you will learn who's nice ad who's just a JACKASS (future people you wish to not contact, lol). I look at it this way; If he's truly played/reviewed a lot of games, he should know by now that NPCs often give quests out. I will agree about reading the Ency, it IS a lot to read, and you still don't understand a lot... But I read it when I was a newb, off and on, it is helpful and I advise any new player to read it.

Quite honestly, I believe if this happened, the game would be flooded with them, being how on most items, these are probably the easiest of the "rarest" items to obtain/make, thus, to USE them, you must also obtain the already hard to get items in the game. So what I am trying to say, these rare bars you suggest; there are already probably an abundance in the game that aren't being used because in order to use them you either need 1) A whole lot of them (hydro) or 2) Other rare things (enriched essences, Binding stones etc). People would just end up selling them NPCs I would thing, thus, another way for gold to get in game, and not out Just my opinion, guys.

It honestly depends on where I am going. For the snow maps, I use a Glacmor Ring. I use the portal spell mainly cause I MAKE the essences, whereas the rings I can't make. I think it would take a bit more than 30 seconds. So you know, I just tried this. From the time I tried casting the spell, to the time I entered the underground, it took 34 seconds.

How you guys work soooo hard. I really appreciate all the work you do, even if you do it for coin, it honestly takes a lot to harvest as much as you guys do. You used to list who all was in your little business, I'd like to see that on the first page again, miss knowing all the harvesters that work on the job 24/7 lol

I was thinking of this perk honestly. I am not a big fighter, and normally mix with bones. So really the big damage I get is mainly from harvesting, which I make sure I don't get below 50 (in this case I'd need to heal at around 55 or so except when harvesting dung). For things your levels and below, I would say it would be only with fighting, but fighting harder things would be a challenge I don't know how much the removal costs, but if I got this perk, I would definitely seek into it before obtaining the perk.

I enjoyed this, even though I was just a walking point. I'd like to see more events like this, was absolutely a blast of fun.
