  1. Attributes cap for the main server

??? what is the cost of a summoned giant?? I cannot think of any reason I personally would summon a giant to fight, although I don't doubt there are those who would. Somehow I doubt, however, that we are about to see PK maps full of summoned giants hanging about waiting for victims! even if so, the giants will just kill each other, so gl to those summoners
  2. I don't see the logic in this. Is ther eany reason that tailored clothes should weigh more than standard ones? Of course, leather armor would weigh more, and strong fighting boots (they give more protection than standard boots, so of course they would weigh more) but I don't see the same in tailored clothes. Whatever the hypothetical weight of ordinary clothes, you wouldn't wear both and so I can't see why the load from tailored clothes would be more. From a roleplay, gameplay or common sense view, it doesn't make sense to penalise people for wearing different clothes
  3. use of different heights

Dwarves ftw! But yeah, I like this suggestion. Good idea . Strangely I was in hurquin earlier today thinking about how strange it is that hawks have to fly over the bridge to get on and off the island
  4. Contraband Items

It is OK to buy a huge sword and ram it through a panda, or bring long dead animals back to life, yet somehow morally wrong to drink a potion?
  5. Character control

Isn't macroing illegal ? And if it's illegal... isn't that a confession ? Bal Doesn't look like a confession to me. It looks like somebody who uses macro programs regularly with good reason (trouble using a mouse? My guess the reason is not flat batteries) who would like to be able to do so on el. Not everyone in this world is as physically able as you seem to imagine.
  6. tailoring and engeneering gods ?

I dunno so much. I think at different levels different skills are easier to level - harvest is very easy at first, probably taken over by alchemy somewhere ~ level 10-15, but I don't know any skill with so much experience on tap as a/d. With Other skills the highest exp items simply cannot be made fast enough or in quantity. The hardest part of any skill is in maintaining the means to keep generating experience. I think that where tailoring gets hard will be when people simply don't want to pay Xgc for an item that does nothing but look fancy when every other person on the planet has the same item. (skunk hats anyone?) and for engineering there again is a limited market in the long term once the novelty wears off. IMO that is why alchemy is so easy to level, harvesting would be ridiculously easy without the cap, and summoning is so hard (a little less so at higher levels since stones created some form of market)
  7. Tailoring and reality

I've never heard of a mineral that must be harvested using a sword. Nor do I know of any textbooks that can only be obtained by killiing a rabbit. I never heard of going to mine an ore, and it requires the use of a special cabbage, which is in turn made by mixing up some raw matter and some dirt, nor cavern walls that fall on you while you are sitting a mile away from anything like a wall. The idea of these things is to increase the difficulty level of some aspect of the game, pure and simple. In truth, how many tailors would make their own fabric from scratch, and their own dyes etc? It is just a game, don't get too hung up on the mechanics.
  8. Could we raise food level?

That was kinda what I meant to say. I guess you took it to mean otherwise! I was going to add that if there was a perk costing 1 PP that gave you, say 200 max food (fat guy perk?) Then I wouldn't waste a PP on it!
  9. More stupid EL jokes (vol. IV)

I was walking in Portland, and I saw a green guy sitting on the floor with his head between his knees. "Are you a goblin?" I asked. "No," he replied, "I was just feeling a little light headed"
  10. Could we raise food level?

Is there really any situation that an increased max food level would be a big boost? I am not that high in any skill, but while running out of food is a bottleneck, you still can only top up 50 at a time with FP, 10 with toads/bones, 20 with fruits etc, and they all have their cooldown / other drawbacks. In other works, say you have 200 food, you can make a few more items from full food till zero, but from there you have the same problems as always - cooldown, poisoning etc In short, I guess I am saying it is cooldown on food that causes the problems, not the relatively low maximum food level.
  11. Paint Killer stole all my items.

I disagree. It is obvious that if you go into PK you can lose expensive items and so should take a rost. you didn't take rost, so it seems to me the advice was worthy, no? some more obvious advice - if you pvp, there is no need to take anything expensive, so if you are killed, you lose maybe a few leathers and some SR/HE. and some more advice, if you pvp, pick a spot where nobody goes. there are PK arenas dotted all over both continents. I have many many hours of pvp uner my belt, and have only a few PKs, and item loss overall prolly less than 5k. pvp is not the same as PK of course. but you do it on a PK map, and you are fair game for the bad guys, so be aware.
  12. auto populate manu window

You think? Some elements of the clickfest are unavoidable, else we all get huge levels really fast and something else gets boring instead, but is it really going to affect the game dynamic so much if we make one click on a fire essence picture or 3 clicks on the ingredients? Personally, I think the game could survive I often see the strip of blank border at the right of my screen and think what a nice place to put a mixing quickbar. If we can have it for magic, why not for alch/manu/craft/summon etc?
  13. Food problem, am i the only one?

As I understand it, it is failed harvests that cost 1 food, so it you are trying to harvest something high level and do not have very high harvest, you will lose a lot of food. A high harvest person may well not fail nearly as much, and could easily use only 25% as much. On the other hand, if this happens when just sitting around, not harvesting etc, then I dunno what might cause it!
  14. NMT cape breakable, part 2.

Nice logic. By any chance is your "day job" working in the british treasury? Voted yes btw, of course there are way too many in-game. Those complaining about the cost of breakage - simple, dont wear it if you can't afford to break it. when the price rises as they become rare, you made youself a profit. Think how many aug sets you can buy for $500k
  15. A desertic idea

You weren't mining iron in EVTR this evening
  16. Except that the price of ingredients just went up due to being harder to collect. and also less gc in game overall, since there is less stuff to sell to NPCs. There is plenty of reason to visit most maps in the game. sometimes the reason is harder to find, involves monsters/PK etc, but virtually all maps have SOMETHING worthwhile to find that sets them apart, you just gotta somehow find the goodies Another factor worth remembering - this change would make it much harder to level in any given skill, so those who already have the skills would be very hard to catch. YES the game *is* about mass production, since that is the ONLY way to level
  17. Chanels

A feature to talk across several channels at once would be a big attraction therefore to somebody who may be inclined towards spammage
  18. Bounties

I dont see how it can work. Outlaw steals bag/PK a guy whatever, and a bounty is put out. one way or another he becomes PK. Outlaw pm's his buddy, who comes to kill the outlaw and they share bounty. It just makes MORE reward for outlaws!
  19. Prayers

Now that astorlogy has been introduced to the game I wondered if it would be possible to influence events further using prayers. I am thinking maybe for each god you worship ( and maybe worship level dependant) you get a little prayer power each hour. You can then use this prayer power to influence randomness inthe same way as astrology, either for yourself or for others. This effect should be small, so a prayer for yourself to get less events for example would make little difference. but I was thinking if prayers were stackable, then it would be cool for people to pray for others. for example, a guild project to make CoLs, all guildies could pray for less fails for the crafter. or maybe in a big battle a player may ask for prayers to boost a/d. It shouldn't be a mjaor influence on the game in general - but I was thinking something like if 20 people saved prayers for 1 week and all prayed for 1 person, the effect would be approx double the effect of astro. The key is that prayers should be special, not used without thought, and of course the effect is not so great to make a newby into a pr0
  20. identify this song

my guess - "Woo Hoo" by the 5,6,7,8s
  21. Prayers

I dunno about failing on prayers, it seems kinda weird? Maybe if the gods get pissed off with prayer spam from you, but I think not. As for curses, of course as much as a guild may pray for fortune on behalf of a comrade, so they may prey for misfortune on an enemy
