    RC2 seems to be working great. I'm seeing a 100-150% increase in framerates from the 1.6 client with all effects or poorman. Love the new leveling effects. Thanks everyone!
  4. A Ranger's Skills

    Bows appear to use the "Missile Accuracy" attribute under #arm so I suspect the medallions do not increase your chances to hit. The damage increase will require more testing. Since the skill is modified by perception I would guess that night vision goggles may help.
  5. Game Crashes on Load [SOLVED]

    I have a slightly older Radeon (mobility 9700) in my laptop and got the crash after login bug. Renaming the shaders folder in c:\Program Files\Eternal Lands disabled the new actor animations but allowed the client to run.
  6. NDD calander

    Actually the one on the 6th is a NDD DURING an invasion and appears to be the only NDD listed. Radu used to do these quite a bit but the fighters would rather PK on NDD then fight hoards of giants. I am not always around and would like to know if/when we earn specials days.

    Mine reverted back to crashing with "Initializing OpenGL Extensions" using poorman 1 and 0. Error log only mentions the server failover. Uninstalled and reinstalled 1.5, updated again. The last 4 Pre RCs worked fine.

    The flicker will not show up in screen shots, tried both the ctrl+p method and using gimp to capture. This video shows an example, but the screen is flashing about 2-3 times a second. Crappy screen capture software... I can make the flicker stop by hovering over a button to get a tooltip and then leaving the game window. As long as I leave the cursor outside the EL window the flicker is gone, move it back and it resumes.

OpenGL Version: 2.0.5279 WinXP Release Crash with vertex enabled Using Latest Dell drivers, which are 2 years old (Thanks Dell) Tried the omega drivers with a previous RC and went for crashing on login to crashing before it started.

    Windows XP Dell Inspiron 9100 Pentium 4 Ati Mobility 9700 RC6 crashes on login unless --use_animation_program=0 is used, appears to work fine without it, including water shaders set to 2.

    Windows XP Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz ATI Mobility 9700 Removed the .vert files and client no longer crashes on login. Water shaders work with quality 2 and with all setting turned on I'm seeing about a 20% improvement in framerate. I cannot click on actors whether players or NPCs, the client will not switch to trade, attack, or use (when trying to access storage), reflections of my actor seem more parallel then with feet meeting when standing at the waters edge: Also getting the flickering effect from the brown spots around Raven.

    Tried RC2 on another system: Athlon XP 2500 Nvidia geForce 6600 LE 1Gb Ram Windows XP Starts on this machine. I also get the weird "sky" flickering when of the map edges. water shader quality looks really nice set to 2. However attempting to enter the EVTR mine causes a runtime error.
