Murder in Draia

 

 

Introduction

It seems that Catspaw has been making a few enemies in EL lately.

 

He went afk for a little while and when he came back he found himself in the underworld with no idea how he got there. He's pretty sure he was murdered and has some suspects in mind. All the suspects have gone into hiding.

 

Catspaw would like you to:

 

Find the suspects

Work out what weapon each suspect may have used

Meet him and tell him which suspect has which weapon and (once he has given you the final clue), who you think murdered him.

 

 

 

Date and time of the event

 

2nd December at 4pm GMT 11a.m. Eastern time or 10 a.m. Central time. The competition will last approximately 2 hours.

 

 

 

Competition Rules

 

1) The competition is open to all members of EL community

2) Participants need to form teams of no less than two and no more than four people. You must give your team a name and submit the names on these forums before the event starts. Team members can be changed up to an hour before the comp.

3) Please select one person from your team to act as team captain. This is the only person who will be able to interact with the suspects. Please give this name along with your team name.

4) Suspects may be found on either continent so we would suggest that teams consist of a mixture of experienced and inexperienced players. No suspects will be hiding in pk maps but some may be in areas needing mm protection.

5) Team captains will be notified of a channel to join at the start of the event. The first set of clues will be given on this channel.

6) The channel will remain open for the duration of the competition for instructions and information during the event and will be closed when the competition ends.

N.B. It is not a chat channel for the event. For discussion among team members we would suggest opening your own channel.

7) Teams can split up to search for the suspects but all team members must be together before they are given additional clues by the suspect.

8) Suspects and victims will only give out pre-prepared clues and hints. During the event you must not pm any of the suspects, victim or organisers for any extra help. Any breaking of this rule will result in immediate disqualification.

9) Any rude or abusive language or behaviour will result in immediate disqualification.

10) At the end of the competition, once you have compiled a list of suspects and their weapons, you need to find Catspaw and he will give you one final clue.

11)The first team to correctly pm him with a full list of the suspects and the weapons they used along with who the murderer is, will win.

12)The murderer and winning team will be revealed at the end of the comp when all teams and suspects are together at the site of the murder.

 

Prizes

 

We are currently collecting a prize fund. If anyone would like to contribute to this all donations would be gratefully recieved. Please bear in mind that the prize has to be split by potentially 4 people.

We will post the prize fund as and when we collect it.

Well it looks like someone is going to get away with murder!

 

Due to a lack of interest we are considering not running the event. Unless we get at least 5 teams by next weekend we will cancel the event.

 

 

If you want a break from the harving/mixing grind of everyday el life, and want an event that doesn't involve fighting, take time to get a team together and sign up now!

 

The event will require a knowledge of maps on both continents and the ability to guess weapons from ingrediants.

There will definately be an AoI team, you can count us in. Who exatly is in the team will depend on who's on at the time/who can make it. Hope some other people sign up quick! It is a great idea for a contest, a chance for us non-fighters to have some fun

I would like to suggest that if individuals want to take part you could put your name down and form a team with any others that would also like to take part. Teams don't necessarily have to be from the same guild as long as we get the team lists before the event so we know who is in each team.

Well unfortunately due to a general lack of interest we have decided not to run this event

 

I would like to say thankyou to the people who have put teams up and apologise for not running it and also a big thanks to the people who donated prizes. Please pm me when you are in game so I can return them to you.

 

We may decide to run it sometime in future as the work has all been done on it, but possibly with a slightly different forumla.

 

It saddens me to have to cancel it but hey ho, guess people have better things to do.
