Ancient wisdom in Thelinor

An ancient manuscript rumoured to be found in Thelinor brought 2 wisemen looking to obtain it. Unfortunately for them all, a shadow of Centau's dreams touched the creatures of Thelinor and it's surrounding realms. Thanks to their powerful spells wisemen managed to stop mad creatures from attacking them, but they cannot leave the area on their own. They are waiting for help. For the ones that will save them there awaits a reward.

Details:

2 people are lost in Thelinor. Both need to be escorted to the safe area. Find them and help them escape to win a share in a prize.

This is a capture the flag type event. You and your team have to find a flag (a person with green name) and escort it to a desired place (either map exits of city of Thelinor). You can intercept flag by:

- finding it;

- annhilating team escorting it.

You take part in the event only your own risk. No armour better than iron plate set should be used, no weapon better than titanium serpent sword should be used. Your losses will not be compensated in any way.

 

Essential numbers:

Date: October, 13th 14th(most probably)

Time: 6PM GMT+DST (British time)

Event time: 60 minutes

 

Teams:

Teams have to count 4 players. There is no necessity for them to be in one guild. However, your combat level has to follow rules:

1. If the combat level of any team member is higher than 350, total combat level (that is counted for all of team members) shall not be higher than 800;

2. If the combat level of any team member is between 300 and 350, total combat level shan't be higher than 850;

3. If the combat level of any team member is between 250 and 300, total combat level shan't be higher than 900;

4. If the combat level of any of team member is between 200 and 250, total combat level shan't be higher than 1000.

Note: These rules apply to your attributes in the day and time of the event. They do not take into account any p/c and a/d modifiers (e.g. potions).

Deadline: October, 6th, 10th. No teams will be accepted after this date.

 

Event rules:

1. No characters and/or players banned from events are allowed to take part in it (vide Mortos Challenge). Namely: Marwen, Toomass, Hamster, Ej_joker,

2. Audience is allowed only at their own risk and is not allowed to interfere with the event in any way.

3. Summoning, using magic and similar is allowed.

 

 

Prize:

There will be one. That's sure. It will be shared between teams that manage to escort at least one flag. Mind, if you escort two flags you take whole prize. If two teams escort one flag (cooperation - yay!) their will get one share to divide between themselves.

Note: It is YOUR duty to keep the CL at the required level. I will be doing cross checks somewhen before the event. I will not warn any team that exceeds limits till the day of the event and then I will just tell them they're not let to take part

It is a very strong suggestion. Two reasons:

1. Making it half-old style way shall make it more interesting.

2. I am bored with people bitching about their stuff worth 250k or more broken lost.

Once again, you take your stuff on YOUR risk. Do not expect any refund in case you lose some of it. Deathbags will NOT be return to owners, unless person finding it wants so. It is a PK event in some part, after all.

Guys, could you possible post if you do plan taking part in the event? If there will be less than 8-10 teams the event won't take place. I need to know it now, just to plan the free time I may have in some constructive way.

As I have 2 teams submitted and promise of 3-4 more (if they've manage to complete crew) I've decided to set up a deadline. If by the end of September there is not enough teams (8-10) I'm cancelling whole event. Sorry guys, I just need to know in advance what plans I have for Sunday, 14th of October;)

I guess the reason only so few have signed up is because of this.

 

If a player with cl 350 are making a team will the 3 other need very low levels, like cl 150 which mean they will be dead as soon as they meet the first fluffy.

 

Or 2 people with cl 350 and 2 with cl 100 = might as well be 2 in a team.

 

So only for teams with 4 people cl 200 -250 or so will be able to take part.

Don't even know if they can kill fluffs

The player I took as a basement is surely able to kill a fluffy. I can kill a fluffy and he's quite higher than I am:) More less about 50 CL points.

Any restrictions on wearing CoL, MoL, or specific cloaks?

 

Also, if the armor/weapon restriction is a "strong suggestion," seems like that leaves room for issues that may become flamewars. Any objection to making it a firm rule?

Can contestants use col/mol?

If some1 comes and begins to brod/bod/kill contestants with some high-end weapons will he be somehow punished?( i ask about it coz there was contest on kf once, made by cyprom, also only oldschool equipment was used and ppl came in pr0 stuff, atted/killed us, killed our summons etc).

Branch of Destruction and items with similar effects are NOT allowed. Using it during this event (if it takes part eventually) will be considered a violating the game rule no. 23 (iirc). Same rule apply for people not being a part of the event and disturbing participants.

As I've said before, I will not restrict using CoL/MoL, as for the former I won't be able to check who's wearing it and who's not. Checking the use of the latter is even more difficult.

About other high-end stuff. I would strongly ask you all not to use any special armours. Let's have this event played with plain steel and skill instead of gold coins spent on unique stuff. There are no restrictions on capes, though.

 

Let's make it clear. I refrain from making any contest rules that would forbid high-end weapon. My main concern would be enforcing it. There is not enough moderators to cover all reports of breaking this rule. The only exception is BroD (et al.). These weapon is prohibited from all my events.

As I will need some time to check out the teams CL the submission deadline is shorter - till 6th of October.

 

Ok, it's 10 PM. 9 teams signed up. One of them is incomplete. I'm really hesitating whether to run the event or no. I will wait one more day. If there will be 9 teams more likely the event will be cancelled.

hehe i didnt read rules, i hate reading ^^. guess i cant brod :*( should be fun anwho

 

and i believe i find it sort of unfair that 3 PL teams are in, defeats the purpose of combat level restrictions. they cant attack each other, and can mob in a group of 12..
