Guest PseudoJapanese Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Recently I have encountered a problem with my monitor resolution when logging in to EL. I've been playing for about 5 months, and this is the first time its happened (probably my PC). Right.. My resolution is always set to 800x600, and this has been fine upto now. But when i double click my 'EL' icon on the desktop, my screen flashes a few times, and the EL login screen opens up in a really low resolution. (The goblins head looks almost as big as the screen.. ) I tried to correct this in EL, with the video options, but any change to the resolution just crashes the game. I've downloaded and installed the game again, and messed with the control panel. But nothing works. PLEASE HELP!
Sistema Report post Posted October 30, 2005 you said your screen flashes a few times, right? well, that happens when the monitor changes resolution. - were you using fullscreen mode before? - are you using it now? - have you tried downloading the latest video card drivers? Hope this helps. - SisteMa`

Derin Report post Posted October 30, 2005 To me this looks like you are missing some textures or objects. Not sure though. Are you running Windows or Linux? What kind of graphics card do you have? Have you downloaded and installed the update?
Guest PseudoJapanese Report post Posted October 30, 2005 I'm running windows. My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400. I've downloaded the update! Its been fine for the last few weeks, then some strange things have been happening (check out link2 above) Thanks for the help by the way
Derin Report post Posted October 30, 2005 What happens if you try to run the game in poor man? Does it work then? If it does. Disable all graphical functions and add them one by one, til you get a decent level of visuality.
Guest PseudoJapanese Report post Posted October 30, 2005 The first link i left above is the common problem now. It seems objects are missing (buildings, trees e.t.c) Do you think i should download the update again? I'm confused....
Sistema Report post Posted October 30, 2005 If you have the time, I'd suggest downloading the full game again. Then completely delete the EL folder before you reinstall it.
Graedow Report post Posted October 30, 2005 If you look at link 2, it looks like a graphical error. If you ask me, I think it's your videocard
