Life Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Same for me It says my internet doesnt work or my dns server doesnt work... or somethign like that. Also, Players Online page doesnt want to load, and im guessing its linked to me not being able to get on the game....
Entropy Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Guys, this was posted 2 times already. The server works, there are 21 players online now. The problem is that some routes on the Internet are temporary fucked up.
Life Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Krull had the same problem remember Ent? You gave him a different server address...is that possible or do i have to wait for the connection to unfuck itself?
Entropy Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Nope, it's not possible, I tried it with someone. Krull had a fucked up DNS, this seems to be a bigger problem...
Gareth Report post Posted November 26, 2003 i got the same error up above, any idea when this will be fixed or what caused it?
Entropy Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I have absolutely no idea. Try to e-mail your ISP and ask.
Colossus Report post Posted November 26, 2003 DNS = eternal-lands.solexine.fr IP = 62.93.225.26 Do these look right? The ping fails (timeout).
Gareth Report post Posted November 26, 2003 actually i think i might take this time to work on some maps. i had some good ideas while zoning out in school
Entropy Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Try to do a tracert to that IP, see where it fails, and post the results here...
Gareth Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Is there an IP address for the server instead of just the name?
Cicero Report post Posted November 26, 2003 http://www.internethealthreport.com/ I'm on Qwest, and it looks fine to me. As for the route, going to the el server, I don't seem to get out of my backbone before my packets drop of the face of the planet. Everything else I go to seems to work fine. Entropy Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Very strange... Here is my traceroute (the first 6 hops are irrelevant) 7 28 ms 29 ms 28 ms ge-6-0-0.mp2.Philadelphia1.Level3.net [64.159.0. 153] 8 31 ms 30 ms 31 ms so-6-1-0.bbr2.NewYork1.Level3.net [209.247.8.66] 9 97 ms 97 ms 97 ms so-2-0-0.mp2.London1.Level3.net [212.187.128.154 ] 10 95 ms 95 ms 93 ms ge-6-0.core1.London1.Level3.net [212.187.131.45] 11 97 ms 96 ms 96 ms pos0-1.mpr2.lhr1.uk.above.net [208.185.188.185] 12 97 ms 97 ms 98 ms pos0-0.mpr1.lhr1.uk.above.net [208.185.156.13] 13 98 ms 98 ms 96 ms so-4-1-0.cr1.lhr3.uk.above.net [208.184.231.174] 14 104 ms 105 ms 106 ms pos12-0.cr1.cdg2.fr.above.net [64.125.31.130] 15 105 ms 105 ms 105 ms pos0-2.er1a.cdg2.fr.above.net [208.184.231.205] 16 104 ms 103 ms 105 ms solexine.fr [62.4.71.76]
Entropy Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Cicero, I did a reverse traceroute, from the server to you, and that's what I got: 1 62.93.225.3 (62.93.225.3) 0.397 ms 0.276 ms 0.181 ms 2 pos0-2.cr1.cdg2.fr.above.net (208.184.231.210) 0.301 ms !H * 0.351 ms !H So, I guess, some routing tables are very fucked up...
