I would be really interested to see the vial mold results because thats my favorite tool but I once rage quit the game for 5 years after breaking 2 of them in 100 mixes.
-
Saxum To continue from our conversation last night, ill be happy to provide numbers because im skeptic and lack the perk. I'll provide my break rate since returning to the game and will provide them as I make more To be fair, using mortars as an example isnt great because they have a horrible break rate already as it is. It would be a bit more realistic, imo, if we look at all the tools even the harvest meds and vial molds. Mortars are simply frail. Reducing break rate by 30 percent of a high breakage rate will stiil give you a bad break rate imo. Correct me if im wrong. If I make 1k spirit restore pots as I stand, I easily break 3 no fail. Actually ill do a bag of 1k ings and consistently drop5 mortars and will store 2 or 3 when done mixing. Ill provide actual numbers when I get back from the gym I stopped buying them actually. I make them at gyp.

Let's say Radu agrees with your proposal and changes the recipe to require the EEE instead. Demand will increase for EEE's and the price will skyrocket since there will be a use for them other than a few summoning stones. Then we'll be back to this discussion. I retired my use of an Alembic because they simply break too often. If the alembic recipe utilized gypsum like many of the other tools, I wouldn't care how often they'd break.
-
I'm for having a 'second' formula for the alembic. Even if it were 100 EneE or even a seridium bar I'd make 10 of them. Breaking the alembic wouldn't hurt as much especially if I've only managed to make a thousand sets of merc.

I must be playing the game all backwards. I've been harvesting all I need to make my essences. I don't think of cost per ingredient because harvesting them costs nothing but time. Has the play style changed that drastically since I last quit where I'm old school? If I'm about to embark on a 10k LE project, am I a rare player who'll harvest all the ingredients to do it?

I know this post is eighteen months late but I've only been back a week after a five year absence. A third continent sounds cool in concept but I'm inclined to agree that the game population is too small. Coincidentally, I've been brainstorming on ways we can increase the population for this game. I care about the world and the people in it. As well as the maturity of it. I intend to publish a proposal within the next month after nailing the details. I'll seek approval from the game leaders. Why next month? I have two very important exams within the next three weeks I've been studying my butt off for and need to pass them. My proposal, if approved, would take some personal time to accomplish and I don't want to take away from my RL pursuits. Very important stuff.

Thanks for the droid app. I've returned to the game after a 6 year absence and the droid app really helps with boredom during meetings.

I just finished a 1000 silver bar project. That was pretty big. But I'd have to say my 50 matter conglomerate project just before it was a bit of a doozy. That's all more recent. Past ones have left my head outside of the evident pile of steel bars in my storage.

Nevermind, my bad.

No compiz wasn't installed. Just kde4. Well, I decided to reinstall 10.04 fresh and, voila, back to normal. Only one nvidia driver works for my card, as the older drivers don't have support for the new 260 chipset. At least that is what i'm told. The fresh install really solved all the issues. So, that's my fix.

I've backed up my home directory in the event I decide to install 10.04 fresh. Anyway, I also removed the video driver, rebooted, reinstalled it, rebooted... Still having a severe lag issue.
