  1. Try this client if you have problems

Wanted to add that on the normal el.exe executable worked until last night. I walked into the c1 fast read room. I walked to the middle of the room, client froze the os. I performed a reset, restarted el.exe and now i get 1 FPS on the screen, the toolbars load and the view turns grey and the os freezes there. This notiles noclusters executable you provided resolved the issue. If there's any more info that would help you, just ask. Thanks!
  2. I agree with zami, if the tutorial npc could store items for very low level characters, it would make it alot easier for someone who doesnt know about storages to learn the ropes and not feel limited because they need to drop items after killing 10 rabbits because they are holding too much. I do like the overall level idea because it takes into account all of your skills, just using a/d would not work.
  3. A/D Cap

Increase over time. Once a predetermined % of active players reach the level cap, it should be raised 10 levels.
  4. Global Warming

Houses are made of bricks and Science is made of facts but a pile of bricks does not make a house, and a group of facts does not make science. there is no set of facts that conclusively construct science that proves or disproves global warming, but perhaps rather then arguing about whether al gore is a duchebag, we should concentrate on what we can move forward with based on our agreement of the key facts. Pollution is bad Burning oil for all of our energy is bad Oil will not last forever THESE facts DO construct something, a consensus that we should change. Lets instead argue about WHAT those changes should be, and how they should be implemented. I propose adding a component to every home: a solar panel that pulls energy from the sun to change water from our well into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen should be released into the air, and the hydrogen should be stored in a solid state in some type of container. When energy is needed, the solid hydrogen undergoes a process for releasing it, then it is either burned, or passed thru plates where it re-combines with oxygen (a standard fuel cell). Already companies have developed technology to store hydrogen in a solid state, it's CLEARLY the safest way to store it, because pure hydrogen in a tank is NOT SAFE and solid state hydrogen is not explosive according to the companies that have developed it.
  5. I think spider silk should be the name of the drop from spiders, and they should only drop 1 at a time, to keep the spirit of tailoring being very difficult, time consuming and in high demand. Also, you should need like 25 to make a patch of silk, and many patches of silk to make an item.
  6. NDD

ditto! Black Dragon kills me in one hit, but poisoning it, harming it, and healing others while they take turns at it is alot of fun. When the ranged weapons are implemented this is really going to elevate the fun level!
  7. NDD

Forum member time is a problem? I'm not in favor of the NDD either, I've been around longer. And the game is more then PK alone. Anywayz, I tend to fill NDD with harvesting now. I've explained that I just don't enjoy the invasions. And I feel very limited because training without drops doesn't appeal much to me either. And atm, I have this newbie char and I was collecting money for it a week ago, by hunting rats for the tails. It gets rather hard with NDD for them too, no? So yes, maybe the fur drops are a problem. Finally, there is always a gamer class called the "weekend gamers"..... -Blee The weekend gamers can still do there thing, just not during the 6-9 hours of ndd while they allow the rest of us to have fun.
  8. best havestable for lvl'ing

perhaps this will help, if you really want to power level harvesting find out what is the highest level item you can harvest, but STILL get 120 harvests off in an hour. it takes some experimenting, but look for items in your approx skill range and time how many you can harvest in 10 minutes, multiply by six and then you know how much exp per hour you can get (minus harvest events). Every time you level, try the next item up on the list.
  9. "Market" value of EFE?

as stated by a bot owner , i think this is kind of backing my thaughts up somewhat , especially the first part i have highlighted in bold peace To the contrary, my point was that bot owners have to adjust to what people's perception of the value of thier items are. Bot prices are an EFFECT of this perception, not the root cause.
  10. "Market" value of EFE?

There are a few reasons you have to buy efe's for 7k from a bot. 1. you don't own one that will buy you an efe for 6-6.2k 2. bot owners have to compete by offering a high buy price, then tack on a profit. 3. the profit added to an item is usually higher for efe, because some bot owners would rather have a nice stash of efe's at thier disposal when they want one. Why offer a low price? your bot will always be out of stock if you do. Keep the price high and you will have an efe when you want it. I work hard at building reports that tell me the shape of the market, what im usually out of, and what's not selling at my current prices. It takes a few hours every few days, but in the end i have a nice store of supplies while also turning a nice profit to distribute to our guild members. Also the public perception of the drop rate matters alot. Whether or not they drop, perception is everything when it comes to prices and the value you perceive you're getting for your hard earned gc's!
  11. NDD

Got to agree, NDD's have done wonders for us who sell items, people have been using ess, breaking armors and weapons and been having LOTS of fun doing it. Ent Keep up the great work!
  12. "Market" value of EFE?

All i can say on this topic, is THANK GOODNESS for the recently established tradition of the no drop day invasions! I think many things will change with all of the broken gear coming out of that day, i broke 3 efe's worth of gear along on that day alone! When gear starts breaking, and fighters start demanding gear, the manuer's will start busting out thier stash's of efe's to provide the equipment we need (at top prices of course!). It's a good thing!
  13. My Mistake

I made a mistake today, i purchased a titanium shield for 26k and Iron greaves for 5600 from DigniTas. When i adjusted my Qty bar on my inv window i typed 61600 instead of 31600 and i gave him 61600 for the goods. I accept that i was stupid and should not expect my money back, and thats ok. But i did pm him looking to see if he would do the right thing and he did not. So keep that in mind when you deal with him, make an honest mistake in his favor, and you can forget about him being honorable. End of story. And BTW: I KNOW that i gave him too much because i have a #sto listing from right before our trade, making it simple to know how much i gave him.
  14. 2008 Presidential Candidates

I hope the same for you as well, I enjoy the back and forth of idea's and mean no malice towards anyone else here. Sometimes these threads go to far, but i think most would agree that these are things worth talking about and that having others challenge your ideas can make you look at what you believe in a new light.

Fact: Killing people will not get you into heaven, unless those people are guilty? is that what your saying, how do you know who is guilty? Legally we can just sure, but theologically people dont have the equipment to judge innocence The reason americans are killing iraqis is they where fooled into believing they where going to be patriots, and going to protect america, or where sold on it being a good job that will set them up for the rest of their lives. If you are a christian who believes in the basic tenants of of your faith, like the 10 commandments, you can't join the military. "Thou shalt not kill" how many ways are there to interpret that? Luckily nobody has to worry about getting into heaven, because its as much of a fund-raising fairy tale as: we are going to invade iraq to find wmd's, then defeat the atrificailly conflated iraq/al queida conection, then to liberate the people from an opressive leader, then to prevent civil war from over running the country, now to.... maintain the civil war so we can keep the money flowing?????? Religion is just like war: follow the money to see who is benefiting. I make no judgement on who's guilty, do I think all people who were raised to believe 'America is the great satan' is guilty? of course not! But we DO know what kind of people that I can live with in the world, and what kind I won't. People who enslave others, force women into subjegation, and teach thier children that killing my childeren by strapping pipe bombs on thier chests... I will not live with. You go ahead and be a liberal with your moral equivilence. I will not teach my kids to be 'accepting of others' when 'others' want to kill and enslave us. I do agree that the 10 commandments are the clearest written laws ever written. And my beliefs conflict with many of them, but when Christ returns and protects my family, I'll stop going after those who would harm them.
  16. Global Warming

Thank you. maybe some people will come to realize that global warming is a natural stage our planet goes through, and we are not causing it. I'm so fed up with Al Gore and his BS. Im with you guys on this! Screw al gore! but i still think we should find other sources of energy that are more distributed and more natural. All kinds of pollution need to stop, but scaring people with propoganda is not the way to do it!
  17. 2008 Presidential Candidates

Really.. You must have a lot of misisons in there, if only 1/100000 kill innocent civilians, because there are a few hundread thousand civilians dead in Iraq as a result of the invasion liberation. Tens of thousands of missions are on-going daily. -edit- and the number accounts for all of the civilians killed by insurgents and roadside bombs, as well as the markets and mosques bombed when there were not even U.S. soldiers nearby -edit- You got to be fucking kidding me. You mean the christianofascists bombs dropped from the the planes on wedding parties? It happened at least twice, you know? That doesn't bother you? I'm sure that noone was more sorry or regretful then the 'christianofascists' who ran that mission. Our soldiers don't believe that killing innocent people will get you into heaven, but the islamofascists absolutely believe they do.
  18. 2008 Presidential Candidates

Oh, you mean he doesn't want to kill enough civilians? I am not sure about you, but I have a big problem with those fucking assholes in DC spending my hard work money to kill people. I come from a military family, and there ARE people out there intent on killing innocent, peaceful people. Our military is there to stand between them when we can. 1/100000 missions may end with unwanted deaths, but every operation is performed by a human being with a heart and a soul, and they would rather die themselves than have innocent bystanders murdered. And in the current situation in the middle east, 99% of the time it's an islamofascist bomb that killed the civilian, not our troops. This generation's military is more politically correct than any you will ever see in the history of man. Back in my Grandfather's day, clearing germans from france, there WERE NO PRISIONS, there WERE NO PRISONERS.... to those who don't like what our military does, just be THANKFUL that we DO take prisioners. I know of people in the middle east who are FORCED to fight against our troops because warlords kidnap thier family members and say... go out and spray this anthrax upwind from a U.S. ship, or we'll murder your family.... these people don't want to fight, but because of the politics of this nation, we don't just go out and kill warlords who do this. Nations in the middle east and africa are run by islamofacist regimes that enslave people, murder them for no reason other than thier color or religion. Rather then STOP the WAR, i want to see an expansion on the war, to destory the countries who harbor people who allow this to happen in thier country. If you get involved, prop up leadership that supports democracy and freedom and kill those who would rather return to islamofascism, then perhaps in the future, other generations would not need to deal with situations like this. And in case you were wondering what happens to people who are FORCED to take up arms against thier will, one case that stood out for me was when a small pirated vessel came up to my brother's carrier ship. Thru the infared they saw one of the people on board pull out a shoulder mounted RPG and aim it at the ship. The carrier laced the guy with 50 cal's and then hauled the boat aboard. The people who were alive on the ship explained that a local african warlord had thier wives and forced them to Attack the americans. My brother was the last sympathetic person they got to talk to because as part of the U.N. charter on piracy for that part of the world, all of the fighters were transfered to Kenya where all pirates are automatically hung for piracy.

Ron Paul is OK, although i disagree with his foreign policy. I voted Mitt Romney, I'm from massachusetts and know him very well. He is honest and really wants to work to fix problems, he governed what I consider the most liberal state in the US, and even though he's to the right, he found common ground on universal health care in our state. I think the program sucks personally, but i have the same health care Ted Kennedy gets, so I can't judge, i'll leave that to the self-employed folks who are now FORCED to buy over-priced health plans, or face huge tax hikes.
  20. Alching with mercury

I use to harvest cinnabar when I have few harvest events because it's boring, slow. It can be stored in the normal storage. When I want to make DE or Spirit ess, do I make 100 mercury - then 100 ess out of them. So I only use the normal storage. Cool, hadn't thought of doing it that way, thx for the tip!
  21. My Mistake

Perhaps READING the post will help you out here.... It's a negligible amount, and is meaningless to me. What's meaningful is that when asked to make it right, some do, some don't. I trade with dozens of people on a regular basis and mistakes can happen. This is one of the rare occasions that I trade with someone who is dishonest.
  22. Weekend day for invasion

If it helps to include more people, saturday sounds good!
  23. My Mistake

You can believe me, or don't. It's posted for those who do.
  24. My Mistake

Thats ok, shari makes me more then that in a day, so it's a small price to pay to identify a duchebag amoung us.
  25. invasion 28/10/2007

You folks are doign a GREAT job with the invasions! I wish i was online for that one. The variety of both locations and monster types means that even 40/40 a/d players like myself can get involved, while still making it interesting for higher level players. Nice work!
