amedee Report post Posted April 5, 2006 When I start EL, it gets to initializing actor definitions, and then it crashes. Until yesterday, it worked perfectly. I can't remember doing anything that would be relevant. This is the error: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): St9bad_alloc Aborted
Learner Report post Posted April 5, 2006 Do you have Cal3D 0.10 installed? It will crash if anything earlier is used.
amedee Report post Posted April 5, 2006 (edited) Do you have Cal3D 0.10 installed? It will crash if anything earlier is used. Cal3D seems OK: esearch cal3d [ Results for search key : cal3d ] [ Applications found : 1 ] * media-libs/cal3d Latest version available: 0.10.0 Latest version installed: 0.10.0 Size of downloaded files: 2,925 kB Homepage: http://cal3d.sourceforge.net/ Description: skeletal based character animation library License: LGPL-2.1 EDIT: But thanks anyway for the cal3d suggestion. I unmerged it and re-emerged it again, and now EL is up&running again. TNX, Learner! You #saved my day! Edited April 5, 2006 by JandolAnganol
