Quell Report post Posted August 12, 2004 ok, in editor you should be able to rotate things in XYZ plain. But i think due to some programmers mishap the Z plain is binded to XY dimension. So when you rotate object by X or Y vector also Z axis is rotated thus you can end up that both X and Z or Y and Z rotation rotate the object in the same plain (along same axis). As effect it is impossible to place (rotate)object in certain position. just one thing that bothered me for some time. :?
Entropy Report post Posted August 13, 2004 Each rotation is on a particular axis. Obviosuly, when you rotate on multiple axis, you will have a different rotation, which is given by the way god defined the sin/cos functions.
Quell Report post Posted August 13, 2004 eh... maybe my explanation isn't clear the problem is that axis should stay on its place relatively to echother otherwise you can degenerate 3d to 2d.... is it more clear :? probably not  but I posted here not on bug forum to get a feedback whether other users of map editor noticed it.
