revi Report post Posted September 14, 2010 Tell us a bit more about your computer perhaps? That would make life easier on people trying to help (I dropped my crystal ball yesterday and it's not working well since :^) ). Things like operating system, graphics card (make and type), graphics driver version, perhaps CPU type and speed and the information from EL start-up would help a lot. Also, does selecting 'poor man' in the EL options help any? revi
Maxine Report post Posted September 14, 2010 (edited) You also should make sure no other programs are running, such as graphics intensive webpages, movies, other games etc. EL uses low bandwidth but on a low end computer it can pretty much use up all your graphics resources. Laptops with integrated graphics cards (Intel) can keep low FPS, especially in some maps or areas with lots of players/creatures. korrode Report post Posted September 26, 2010 (edited) https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia read it carefully, follow it's instructions precisely, and stuff will work. EDIT: OH, AND NOTE: If you have a GeForce4 series card, you need the nvidia-96 driver. Edited September 26, 2010 by Korrode
