Cruella Report post Posted March 17, 2009 In the current client a player can set a color of messages only for buddies. In some cases though it would be very helpful to be able to temporarily distinguish one player' messages from all others. The best example is when a player runs a contest and his/her hints are hardly visible in channel spam. A command Change Color -> #cc <playername><color> (for instance #cc Cruella red) would set all text posted in channels by that particular player in a chosen color, on a client side, just for the player who used it. A command #uncc or similar (#cc <playername> default etc.) with would reset the setting. Comments welcome
Aislinn Report post Posted March 17, 2009 It's come up a few times before, never got further than it would need ent's approval and *should* be relatively easy to do. I think i used keywords +color and tried +text, +message, and +chat and got a bunch of results of the same thing. I agree, I would love to see this. Another thought is maybe just highlight the playername speaking with the color rather than the entire message. I wouldn't be too horribly picky either way. Sonic Report post Posted March 17, 2009 Considering the spam in some events and contests - Yes, sounds great.
bkc56 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 While not exactly "temporary", there's already a way to do this using global filters. See: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.p...st&p=376226
