This is how it should be all the time correct? I don't download things on this computer so I know I don't have a virus. And have firewall. :/ But sometimes it just lag spikes me to the moon. That is less then aussie normal ping, we get 360-600+ most times.. what are you complaining about? :\|there has been lag spikes last few days but that was the server iirc Edited January 15, 2009 by Sabbath
xACiDx Report post Posted January 15, 2009 That's a very good ping Hermit. You should not be experiencing any lag. If you are it's most likely not your internet connection but your computer's RAM or possibly graphics. What FPS are you getting? You may want to try disabling some of the extra effects. Hermit Report post Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Okay I didn't explain this to its fullest. That was just a test, and you see the variation. MY internet should not do this. The spikes go from 600 up to 2000, which I should have added earlier I just was hasty. My comp is fine. It runs great at certain times of day. But at night or on certain maps is when it gets bad. Sorry for not explaining this better. Edited January 16, 2009 by Hermit
Thyralax Report post Posted January 16, 2009 Unfortunatly lag does happen, ping is usually caused by the internet rather than the server. An issue with the connection to the server somewhere along the way, or your ISP having issues or being under stress. Especialy noticed when your the only one around suffering a problem. Id still recomend all the usual things, running a spy ware detetion program, and a bit of a clean up of your pc's active programs. Youd be surprised what you can pick up just surfing
