Sound Bug

Recommended Posts

Guest Canabtzedec

I'm PRETTY sure I completed the process to register 5 times or more but it's never there when I have something to say...anyways...

All I wanted say right now is to be specific:

The sound bug in the new client is the 'Underworld environmental sounds'

triggering when... uh .. that part I don't know...

I do know that when it happens I'll be (idle?) somewhere

OTHER than the underground.

The sound pack in this game is really good, but this bug is pretty annoying. I'll turn environmental

sounds off for now, but they WERE sooo cool.

I also noticed the thing someone else mentioned about creatures sounds

not being proportionally louder and softer relative to their positions around me.

('goblins I fight softer, goblins away are louder', someone said)

I remember when I first got the sounds, it seemed perfect. It still seems ok,

but I was using my stereo (widely spaced speakers) to tell where people were! If the monsters

grunted & stuff while idle (like in the Amiga Classic 'Dungeon Master')

I could run naked thru 'warzones' and just AVOID the creatures, haha!!

I remembered that Amiga game BECAUSE I noticed the sounds seemed really directional

and proportionate to distance in the client right before the 'counter numbers' in the inventory

were cleaned up with the black border (that was nice!)
