Ideas for perks

Carnivore (negative perk) cannot eat fruit or vegetables

 

Redlips (or maybe steak tartare) (positive perk) allowed to eat raw meat as if it was cooked.

 

P.E.T.A (negative perk) cannot eat meat, cannot fight animals (even if they attacked you), cannot buy or pick up any item made of meat, fur, skin, leather, etc.

Just a Scratch (+): there is a 10% chance to cut damage you take in half.

Butterfingers (-): there is a 60% chance to lose items upon death.

God's Favor (+): there is a 20% chance to bypass hell upon death.

Animal Cruelty (-): animals will attack you if you are weaker than them.

Meditation (+): health/mana regenerate faster if sitting and not doing anything besides chatting.

Manaphobia (-): take double damage from magic attacks.

Ominious (+) Monsters flee before you

Bunny (-) Halves all damage you do

Greek (-) You can't use magic (maybe call it Intellectual? nonbeliever? witch-hater? Person who hates all cats which just happen to be black?)

Witch Hunter (?) Spells cannot be cast on or by you

Dwarven Student (+) Increases manu and harvesting lvls (or whatever pertinent skills the new version has)

Wizard (+) Increases Magic skill lvls

Forest Troll (+) Health increases faster and maximum health is increased

Bridge Troll (-) Intelligent thought becomes difficult (spell penalty, lowers intelligence attributes, etc.)

Pathetic Loser (-) Lowers all attributes (or all skills? both?)

Weakling (-) Lowers maximum strength (or equivilent attri.) the char. can get (and lowers it to that lvl if it's already above)

Heavenly Blessing: Increase maximum for all attri.

Smelly (+) Monsters flee before you (maybe adds poison damage instead?)

Bullet-Proof Monk (+) Additional 10% (20?) that enemies miss you

Master Magician (+) Mana regenerates faster (in addition to other perks)

Druid (+) Animals don't attack you, even if you attack them

Cheeta (+) Speeds up char.

Dyriad (sp?) (+) Increases harvesting skill

Goblin (+/-) Decreases intelligance attributes, increases speed

Frosty the Snowman (+/-) Increases cold resistance, decreases fire resistance

Pyro (+/-) Increases fire damage you do, increases fire resistance, decreases cold resistance

Sloth (-) Slows char

From what I hear, the only way to change speed is to change everyone's speed, including creatures.

And some of those aren't bad, but let's leave skills and stats out of perks. They are meant to provide unique abilities and/or disabilities.

and (named for the guy in the Guinness Book of World Records who chopped up a bicycle with a hacksaw and ate it):

 

"I Eat Bicycles" - a positive? perk - allows the character to eat anything in inventory that cannot be "used" getting maybe 1 health point for every EMU of the item consumed. This might be a way to dispose of unwanted manufactured items - maybe better than the disintegrate magic spell I was going to propose. or maybe not.
