When you join market, you actually get a different message. So, could this message be changed to:

Welcome to the market channel, where we post our ads only once each 5 minutes.

 

No need to explain why, I think....

Note though that you mostly only join a channel one time... then you stay there... I have for example 3 channels that I'm on all the time, I haven't switched or left them for ummm ever pretty much... So I bet there are others who do like me too or similar.

 

So basicly people have to learn to read the rules or get the punishment they deserve from not doing so.

3minutes later

player:Selling 6000 Fire Essence for 3 gc each PM me.

Yes, we stay on the channel a lot, but almost always you'll get some newbie player who doesn't know the rules, and who will post several adds consecutively. Well, I did that the first time I joined the channel as well. I think this will help. Besides, as you noted, most people stay on the channel for long periods of time, so it shouldn't increase the bandwidth usage that much.
