The_Piper Report post Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) Connecting to server...Can't connect to server Press any key to try again. Press Alt-x to close the game. 216286 For unknown reasons you cant connect to the server. 1. check your internet connection, can you access other websites using a browser? 2. if you use a firewall check if port 2000 is allowed, thats the port this game is running on 3. if you use a firewall check if the server eternal-lands.network-studio.com is blocked 4. is on your computer any other kind of software, like parent control, which may block the server Piper Edited November 2, 2005 by The_Piper
Puntif Report post Posted November 2, 2005 First try your web browser to see if it can get to the server - try a URL like http://eternal-lands.solexine.fr/~radu/vie...php?user=puntif If that works then it's probably something like a security package or router that's blocking port 2000 - check the settings for your internet security package and/or your router to see if you can allow port 2000 or permit el.exe (if using windows) to access the internet through port 2000. If it doesn't work then something is blocking your access to the server.

Ember Report post Posted November 3, 2005 where is this 2000 port thingy? can someone send me some steps please 216306 Check your firewall or any software which blocks websites like parent control. Piper I take it this person might be a child (no offence frostbash) so he might not have permisions to change the firewall, or even know what the fire wall is If thats the cast you should ask your mom/dad/olderperson in the house who knows anything about the computer, to help you and post with you. SirIronHeart Report post Posted November 4, 2005 Be sure you uninstall the original game...after uninstall, Go to C: drive...program files...make sure the file " eternallands " is not there. Do a restart on puter...reinstall 112 eternal lands game. Sometimes windows will leave files behind and they do not get over written properly. Good luck ... let us know if it works out.
