If we should make iron shield perhaps lvl 10 and steel lvl 20 and new shields like titanium shield lvl 30 and so on. Same things with crafting where the 4 medallions all require about the same lvl... Is there a logic behind this beyond simple symmetry? Why is it no good? Remember that to actually use the shield(s) you need nexuses, so not everyone is suited to wear all equipment. Derin Report post Posted September 29, 2005 You will make iron shields if you have read that book (and have not read the steel shield book) You will make iron shields if your customer (which could be yourself) doesn't have enough human nexus to use a steel shield. It stems from a number of factors; the difficulty to make the item, the age of the knowledge (is it widely known?) and game balancing factors. There are more such factors as well. So basically SHIELDS are easier to make than MAILS,and hence: 16 Iron Shield 18 Steel Shield 30 Steel Chain Mail 36 Titanium Chain Mail I am not saying it's perfect, so your suggestion is a valid one.
