Channels Directory command

Recommended Posts

I'd like to see a command to display the list of assigned-purpose channels. It might be nice to see how many people are currently viewing each channel as well.

It could show like this:

1 (newbie) 42 users

2 (help) 18 users

3 (market) 11 users

4 (general) 23 users

25 (any use) 3 users

2000 (any use) 14 users

guild (guild member messages)

The number of users would not apply to the guild channel or it would show you the number of people in YOUR guild currently viewing the guild channel.

If implemented without the user count, the (any use) channels wouldn't be mentioned.

The list would probably fit into multiple columns or just be strung together.

I thought there might be a reason not to show participant counts on non-preassigned channels.

Just put

Newb channel (1) (7384742 players)

Help channel (2) (2 players)

Marketplace channel (3) (16 players)

General channel (4) (27 players)

Off-Topic channel (5) (3 players

Guild channels (14 players) *All players in all guild channels

Channels 5-2,000,000,000 (13 players) *List all above channel 5 as a conglomerate, that way you can tell if people are on those channels, but people trying to track them would not be able to specify which channel.

err...

Newb channel (1) (7384742 players)

Help channel (2) (2 players)

Marketplace channel (3) (16 players)

General channel (4) (27 players)

Off-Topic channel (5) (3 players

Guild channels (14 players)

Channels 5-2,000,000,000 (13 players)

Over 7.000.000 players in one channel!!! i guess we need anoter server then... or two... or 7000 severs!!

The idea is good, but be a little realistic :D

no i like the idea, if you want the channel to be hiden and not in the directtory, maybe there could be a command like #Hide_chat
