Puntif Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Just finished some business with William (storage in Portland) and his "Come back again" message was slightly garbled. The yellow text said ome back whever you wish! followed by about 3 nonsense character. Yup, the "C" at the beginning was missing. Just to double-check, I went back and it now says ome back whenever you wish!. I'm running the CVS version recently downloaded: 0.9.5p1 Beta under Linux running under gdb.l
Puntif Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Whoa - just said goodbye to Trik (arms buyer at Lakewood docks) and he said k Puntif, have a nice day and come back anytime!for 17 platinum coins. What else can I do for you? Likewise, Diana, the barmaid at Lakewood said k Puntif, have a nice day and come back anytime!g, thank you.
Puntif Report post Posted January 27, 2004 I switched back to the regular version instead of the CVS version and it doesn't do this. On the regular version, the goodbye text for the NPCs only appears at the top of the dialog box in green, not also in the center of the dialog box in yellow where the problem I noticed occurred. Learner Report post Posted January 27, 2004 I'll be looking into this to see what I can find. What OS are you on? A quick check at Trik shows the goodbye message appearing properly.
Puntif Report post Posted January 27, 2004 Linux (Slackware 9.0). Like I say, the regular version looks good, only the CVS version shows the extra text. I didn't change the compile options, so whatever is in the Makefile is what I used. Maybe I should take this opportunity to learn something about gdb and dig into it myself.
