Guest Report post Posted January 7, 2004 The default chat should be made the general chat since a lot of people talk in the newbie channel, as in not on topic, and people get annoyed at that. To make things easier for newbies who don't know how to switch the channels, you can display a meassage describing how to get to the newbie channel when the log on. Learner Report post Posted January 7, 2004 I like the default being local to help reduce the chance of spamming everyone in the game by accident. For Newbies it should be 'natural' to go up to someone and ask advice, if the default was the chat channel, they might not hear the question. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
