yeah that feature (map-marking) is good. I uses it to get quick locations of flowers / ores / etc. I hope the buddy-on-map feature gets put into the next version OT: btw, does anyone know when the next version is coming out? tmmuk

Yeah, that link Sparhawk posted looks good, but im not that keep on the map being blacked out in places, or showing other items/npcs/players as the map is not detailed enough for that to really be useful (ie actually being able to relate a specific dot on the map to a person in a crowded area) thanks for the response tmmuk

Hi, It would be cool if people in your buddy list would show up on the map (as a small X like for your own character). They could be shown as say a green X on the map which would show the buddy's name on mouse roll over. This would help you to locate buddies easier. just an idea... tmmuk

Hi I am running the latest version of el on a linux machine (kubuntu 5.10) I was wondering If anyone knew how to make a shortcut that would launch the game as currently the only way is to cd to the directory and then type ./el.x86.linux.bin There must be an easier way to do this. also, how do you make a fire in el and where can you go to mine? thanks, tmmuk
