(sorry I took so long to reply, got working on some animation projects) I have a RAGE 128 PRO Ultra4XL VR-R AGP (Microsoft Corporation) graphic card. provider:ATI Technologies (and I thought this wasn't an ATI card :/)

If anybody's played Phantasy Star Online you'll know how that game lets you create a character. Perhaps if the program you guys use allows you to alter the 3D meshes, you could have a way to have people customize the hieght of their character (by reasonable amounts of course, and the same hitarea for clicking on them). That and maybe let you customize more details such as eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, and maybe have clothes that aren't just different colors (I'm assuming you guys are probably already working on clothes). I think it'd be a good idea, it'd make the game much more diverse because it generally seems like everyone is the same and are seperated only by sex, race, and skin color. Not sure how you guys would do it since there's several options. There could be full head meshes with each mix, which would be alot of files but the least bandwidth. The meshes could remain seperate and just join together but I'm not sure how the movement system works in the game so it could raise bandwidth usage if each part is moved seperately. And there's always texture overlaying, which seems a bit like what the game does already. One other little idea I just got a second ago would maybe let people have a small image they can have on their shirt, kinda like an emblem or logo, which maybe could show up next to their name also. Probably be a small 20X20 png or something of that idea, with a reasonable file size max like 10kb, and after you met the person, their emblem could be saved to a certain folder so it doesn't need to be reloaded unless it's been changed. Once again, it's up to you guys how it could be dealt with.

I don't have an ATI card, I replaced the ATI card initially with my pc with my old pc's one, which strangely was more up to date (2003 gfx card) I already took a peek at that thread but it doesn't have anything for OpenGL updates, and google hasn't been helping much. I just hope I can figure this out soon, it's making the game unplayable (and you're hearing this from someone who normally plays the game on poor man and no effects with just 4fps)

My gfx card isn't the problem, it's the same card I used before to play EL, what's wrong is OpenGL, I don't know whether I need to download an update or buy new hardware although I think this pc has newer hardware than the old one. If anyone knows where I can download an update for opengl that'd be great.

I'm not 100% sure but I think when you're getting into the game, the first 2 parts of your IP fit one of the whitelisted IP's, ask in the whitelist thread.

That would be a sweet tactical feature! Maybe one of the traps could be like a mirror image, a copy of your character or a summon (whatever you cast it on) appears where you placed it, and maybe idles within a couple tiles distance from the casting point. The effect would last for 2 minutes or so, or until it takes 10 hits or something like that.

*obnoxiously loud "smeg" sound* my godless perk! Sounds like a cool idea. Perhaps it could be something you win like a trophy from certain quests, like perhaps an assassination based quest would get you the victim's armor or clothing, which would have a modest advantage over the normal items, or perhaps blessed weapons like a dragonsaber or greatsword or something like that for completing difficult quests.

Yeah, this would be pretty useful for carrying fox furs (why do they take up seperate boxes?? :/ ), weaponry, armor, and other objects that can't be stocked. Perhaps it could make good use of those sticks or something like that. Another thing that could go with this could be creating boxes and other packages to sell or use. Higher quality packages carry more stuff or perhaps more delicate items like craftwork or essences

That would be pretty sloppy considering how most players don't always play 100% zoomed out and sometimes objects at the edge of that zoom are clipped off screen. That and it'd probably start a complaining fiesta. Maybe having the mana cost high would work for it, like ranging from 20-60 mana depending on what you change to. btw, I hope the shapeshifting thing makes it so your character is still recognized as humanoid a bit, like acquiring certain traits of the animal such as their ears, tail, skin/fur, head shape, ect. and maybe be slightly shorter. Works both for effect and so you could still wield weapons and such.

I got an idea earlier for a 50/50 style raffle drawing. I'll put all my gold into storage and at the docks in IP each person who wants to participate gives me 100gp for their name to be added to the list. After a certain amount of time, I'll use a prog I have to randomly select a name from the list, and that person wins 80% of all the gold that was spent on being on the list. This would turn out to be ALOT btw, ALOT meaning probably in the 10k's Might make the winning % 90% if it's a small pot.

God I love how supportive the community is here, complete opposite of Newgrounds (NG gets you exposure but you get flamed by half and supported by few, here I don't get alot of exposure but everyone's kind and supportive here)

Perhaps it could be like weighted attacks the player could set up, such as out of 100% of the attacks, say 20% are stabs, 5% are kicks% 25% are chops, ect and then have the game system generate a random number between 1 and 100, and 1-20 would be the stabs, 21-5 are kicks, ect.

heh, I draw my anthro characters since I can't draw people worth jack and when you make a mistake drawing an anthro character, I can always figure a way to make it seem like part of the character without having to erase it.
