God Quest possible update/benefit
Dark_Nightmare replied to chaoogie's topic in Suggestions - General, Misc.
Remember, EL is still under serious modification. They are editing many many things, including the magic system and quests. Be paitent, and also use the search feature to find related topics. -
A yoctosecond, smallest measurement of time that has a name, and Plank is annoying, so much physics...hurts my head

*Looks into his crystal ball* I see... I see... I see a island, dead and shrowded in shadows... A land of eternal darkness... A symbol... A hideous beast... Wait, the symbol... The beast of Shattered Dreams! Mortos! Selain! Legions of goblins and orcs! Ogres and trolls! Cyclops and Chimearan Wolves! Death! The same symbol... The land of shadows... The realm of evil... The kingdom of Mortos...

Things That Will Go In The Game Eventually..

Yes, I know, the way EL was designed, planitary-elemental alignment would be hard, and the magic system is still being tinkered with. -
Ants are funny Well, until you lose an eye. I agree with Sheesh, they do cause congestion on bridges, especially the one in VotD. The anthill is mostly to blame, because it's current location is in Tarsengaard, so the Ants would naturally pass the bridge to get there. As for the wandering Ants, that's another problem that will need to be fixed somehow, wheather through making a tele-BOT that teleports you if you stay to long on the bridge to prevent congestion, unfortunately that wouldn't work so well, maybe install a tele-portal? That would ruin the scenery though. But again, Ants are a nuisance.

Kewl, but my char isn't RP yet, still saving money, but can I participate anyways?
-
Well, just thinking It's not illegal or wrong to think of the future...
-
I was gonna make my char a draegoni, and why spend 50 bucks on another guy? Also, for the other guy you'd have to get all his stats up, etc. But I'm a proud EG, so I won't join he -RP- guild, but I am a big RPer, and encourage RPing, let your creative juices flow...

I would like a "Sword of the Black Fluffy" please ^_^ Anyways, or some just plain, cool, evil sounding sword, or light, like "Teh White Avenger" or "Holy Vengance" or "Sword of the Bane", and therfore, we can implement speacial weapons/cloaks/armours/etc. that can be realeased during speacial events and contests.
-
I like the holidays/festivals. For different ones we can have speacial events. A Festival of the Moon, there could be a wolf outbreak. A holiday in rememberance of the Great War, the Fall of Bethel, the Great Cataclysm (Dah' Big Crash), The Discovery of Irilion, Role Playing Day (All people must be in Role Play when speaking on public channels or in public, exception is Market, and activities for fun), the Gnome Games (Hold a bunch of silly contests and celebrations concerning Gnomes), and days celebrating the gods, where there are invasions, parties, give-aways, and gifts to the god's worshippers, and others. Things That Will Go In The Game Eventually..
Dark_Nightmare replied to Roja's topic in Suggestions - General, Misc.
I hope one day we can have the elements, fire, water, air and earth, implemented like in many other games. Maybe even light and dark. Not just for spells, but weapons, and bonuses. And like the elements have their planets (e.i. Mars = Fire | Venus/Earth = Earth | Jupiter = Air | Mercury/Neptune = Water). Or they can be linked to a god(s)/goddess('), but the way EL was worked out with teh Gods, that would be a toughie Then, with teh elements, many more things can be introduced such as elemental resistance, weaknesses, bonuses, weapons, armor, creatures (i.e. Golems & Elementals), races, race elemental alignment, etc. EL doesn't have to become a classic MMORPG Fantasy Game, but we can get close. Still, technology has a place in EL *Takes out Ion Charging Particele Excellerator (I.C.P.E. for short) and fries a gnome*. -
Are the preps done? I'm hungry for... running away and being chased by fluffies and acting as a scout-trooper.

Trust me, there would be a lotta lagging. It's gonna be a Gory-Grue fest!

Winged Races with no capes, would you like to have them?
Dark_Nightmare replied to Roja's topic in General Chat
Maybe we should have something other than capes. For them, when they put on a cape, it something else like a robe, cuffling, necklace, hat, glove, scarf, etc. I want angels, It'll go in with my character Shadowbane's stories and storylines. -

Many have heard of the drow, or dark elves. They were once common elves. But they were banished into the earth for betraying the church of Aluwen and dedicating themselves to the Dark Arts, or teachings of Mortos. They dwelt in caves deep beneath the earth, keeping to themselves, slowly honing their skills for the day when they will return to the surface. They changed in mind and appearance, white, silver-haired and black skinned. They could not touch sunlight, for it would burn like a thousand fiery arrows. But they did return, and this is the account of the fight called the War of the Raven and the Dove, of dark and light, of good and evil... "Hello!?" hollered a dusty elf in a green tunic who was rushing into a beautiful temple. It was a clear day in the kingdom of Tirnym. "Yes? What is it Linteur?" asked a white-robed elf, obviously the leader of the church. "There has been a report of army of black-cloaked people attacking the local territories. They have great craftsmanship and weapons, not seen since the days of The Banishment. We captured one, and," Linteur gulped, "it was a Drow." "What!?!?" "They have returned. They have taken down a outpost by Tirnwood, and are approaching Lakeside Village." "We must warn the followers of Aluwen." He began writing a letter, and then enveloped it. "Here," he gave the envelope to Linteur. "Take this to the temple in Morcavern Marsh, but before that, the queen." Linteur bolted from the temple, saddled his horse, mounted, and sped away like the wind... A horse galloped through the open gate of the castle of the Queen of Tirnym. Some guards halted the horse as it slowed to a trot. "What is your business?" asked one. The rider of the horse, Linteur, answered, "I have a letter for the Queen from Jurndar, the head from the temple in Tirnym." "Ok, you may pass." answered the guard who moved aside. Linteur lept of his horse as he stopped at the palace doors. He opened them and walked down the red carpet in Her Majesty's throne room. "Your Majesty!" "Yes?" answered a beautiful, pale, white-haired, silver-robed elf with a silver circlet on her head. "I bring terrible news from the north. The Drow have returned." "Oh my!" The silver goblet the Queen had been holding was dropped to the floor, blood-red wine spilling. She didn't even notice it as she listened attentively to what Linteur had to say next. "They have been attacking the forest-town of Tirnwood Vale and are approaching Tirnym and the Marshes in the west." "Oh my! I'm glad you came to me first." Linteur approached her, kneeled, and handed her the envelope. She opened it and glanced at the letter. "Well, I'll send my fastest courier to deliver the message." She then whistled a sweet, enchanting tune. Then, an eagle swooped in from a sky-light above. It took the message in it's talons and bowed to the Queen. "Take this to the temple in the Marshes." It nodded and took off from which it came. "Now, we prepare..." The warriors strung their bows and sharpened their swords. They shined and polished their armor, and prayed Aluwen for protection in battle, and Glydoc for strength and courage. The mages, wizards, witches and warlocks practiced their spells, memorized their incantations, and prepared their essences. The alchemists and craftsmen were busy making armor and weapons, producing bars and essences, and enchanting rings and medallions. The entire kingdom was preparing for war. Even the sky's mood had changed. The once clear sky had darkened, and there was that calm that always signaled the coming of the storm... The army marched to the gates into Tirnym. They raised their swords. They prayed their blessings. They were ready for war. Then, they saw the enemy. An army of black-armored warriors. They bore weapons of a fashion not seen since a long time ago, when the world was in chaos. Each one had the Beast of Shattered Dreams on their armor. They were dark-grey to black skinned, and had silver to white hair. They were menacing, foul, and ready for combat. Lightning struck. A dove and raven flew overhead. And as they stuck each other, so did the two armies... "Yaaah!" The only thing that could be heard was the sound of swords clashing, armor breaking, spells howling through the air, war cries, and the booming thunder. The foes were evenly matched, but the drow had the elves outnumbered. The elven bows and swords killed each other, one by one. The cries of fallen warriors echoed through the battlefield. The drow were winning. The elves were failing. The battle seemed to be lost. Then, there was a break in the clouds. Moonlight shone down on the battlefield. Then, came an incantation, in a sweet, calm, and cold voice, from seemingly nowhere. It echoed from the earth, from the sea, from the mountains, from the sky. By the sea and by the sky, of the darkness and the light, thy will shalt be grinded, and from the shadows from which thy came, thy shalt again be binded. The moment it began the fighting stopped. The air was still. Then, a giant chasm appeared underneath the drow, and they fell, disappearing into the dark abyss from whence they came. Then, the chasm closed... The battle was over. The elves had triumphed. Now, to this very day, the elves celebrate this as a holiday for the victory against the cleverest, smartest, and swiftest servants of Mortos, and as a memorial to the warriors who lost their lives protecting Seridia.

Winged Races with no capes, would you like to have them?
Dark_Nightmare replied to Roja's topic in General Chat
Well, the wings through capes wouldn't be TOO rediculous, and things like hair already stick through helms, capes, and the like.
