So because rangers are overpowered (and they are), and some of them bought gc, they don't deserve to have a profitable venue?
If a mixer says a fighter should not make a profit, there will be tons of people crying out load.
That said, Karolus' original cry is pointless, he asks about another guild "behavior" when people of his guild have done similar or worse things. And the topic is redundant too, everyone know how Lucy behaves, its not news at all.
-
We need another dragon spawn tbh.
-
Whats the difference? When you post someone or challenge their guild in the forums... You pretty much put them in a position that they have nothing to lose anymore.. so they may as well retaliate....
You serp/brod people by default. You lose that "if i do something i don't like, i will retaliate", since you would do the same anyway.
Besides, its not like you have a pristine reputation you would like not see it tarnished on the forums.
-
I did not say that. It's so sad if you think that's ok.
I said it wasn't new about Lucy. And that some people disagree that is "outlaw" to serp a ranger spawn.
And also note that PL serped spawns for no reason in the past too, and cried a river when they got retribution.

In other news, sky is blue, sea water is salty, hulda is cold and hell is hot.
And anyway, some fighters attack pinned monsters with low hp and see nothing wrong with it. But my guess is that even if Lucy did see something wrong with that, he would do it anyway.
Brb, i will go get some popcorn now, k.

In my opinion the day of Joule is more about convenience than about saving food. For instance, you can mix FE's without using any food, and it will mix until you fail your alch check or the ings on your inventory ends. Or mixing AE's using only one food per essence, so it can be done much more easily.
That said, as a fighter I enjoy more Sun Tzu than I enjoy Joule as a mixer.
EDIT: And about being prepared, with the day stones its much easier to prepare yourself as you know when the day will come and act accordingly.
-
You probably skipped the part about the only food available being toadstools and you can't use any sort of healing. What is the loss in this? I don't see any negative things that can happen
-
No.
Is that how the regular instances work? What about eliminating EXP earned during the instance? So it's not really an EXP farming event, but a more "for fun" event.
Indeed. It would seem to me that this would be a disincentive to go on such an instance, but maybe that's just me. -
I never said instances were easy. I said it was profitable, and it was based on Radu's word which should be somewhat "neutral" to the mixer vs fighters debate.I'm more shocked that how people who has no instance experience talking about how easy and how profitable they are.
-Kaddy
The WTF instance is quite profitable now.

10k coal please.
Juvenal in game.

After reading Hussam's and Korrode's posts i got to agree that Raz' idea is indeed the best if used with different bots for different stones.
-
(1) You didn't donate to a very specific set of players; (2) In the instances there is no guarantee of success in getting a stone; (3) People who do instance would do it anyway, even if there would be no new day stones.I guess the community coming together and donating all the ingredients for the joules day and sun tzu stones wasnt a community project either?
Easy to dismiss every person disagreeing with you saying its a cry fest.In any case you have proven my point.. bitch moan and cry fest. nothing constructive.
So why only mixers should support "the community"... if its for everyone's benefit, fighters could just use it... Or just let it rust in storage...provides a stable market for the #day stones so everyone benefits.
-
So lets say wtf instancers get a Sun Tzu stone. Would they refuse to use it if people don't pay them to use it?All we need to decide is a price. I can't imagine prices approaching a million gc would be acceptable, but it needs to be enough to make it worthwhile to do WTF... i'm thinking somewhere ~250kgc?
I think wtf instance would be profitable (and fun) even without the new day stones.
Add to the fact every positive day is somewhat useful to the self proclaimed pr0's. Even Joule's Day can be useful if it lower the costs of bars/essences/pots in the long run. So would them hoard it if people don't pay them to use it?
EDIT: BTW, I am not against Lexi's idea, if people want to handle gc/items to people with lots of gc/items, its their problem. I remember some people even donating money to Bill Gates, why not an EL equivalent?

I will take the silver ore, chrys and coal. PM me in game.

Waste some time serping the people who joked "Quimbly's style" and see how those people <3 you.People have joked because they know Quimbly's style, but no where has anyone defended it.Where are these double standards you speak of?
-
Only when people do to your friends, right?i couldn't care less about community rulesShujral is right, double standarts are commonplace in EL "community".
-
HAHA, and you insisted that you was not playing on demoniZED some months back.Well If you did tell me that you gonna start serping, I would just leave. -
You defined that? What is "oldschool" in big harms/ranging/etc? Nothing?Old Style pk map = using your skills or character build without help of another.
Or maybe just let TD be what it was supposed to be: a real "oldschool" pk map. Not a mage/ranger paradise, maybe another map can fill that role.has to do with the characters skills and time they put into building the character, nothing about being in the past like when you go to Ruins of Tirnym and go into it's past. make a portal to TD past and adjust the map to be old el.
Really? You need to explore C1 more.-because it's the only other pk map on C1,
That is the worst, the most ridiculous reason, ever. And i already argued with Infamous many times.because lenny created more than half the population of el to stay on C1Come on dude. Do you think that people who fear lenny and dont go to c2 cuz of him would go to a map where they could die to one harm? Really? People who don't go to C2 because at night they would have a very small chance of getting attacked (and not instakilled, like it is when you take big harm without COL) would go to a map to be instakilled? Fat chance.

I guess you just don't read the replies against your "points"...exactly my point, why change what 3 skills set types of characters play just to satisfy 1 skill type character -
If nobody uses the map, the mages/rangers/engineers/summoners/fighters/whatever don't have a reason to fear each other. If noone uses the map at all then why fear mages or rangers, or engineering goods. It's the risk that noone uses it.
That's why: EL was pretty different than its now. Some people liked it. For nostalgia, or whatever, they asked for an "oldschool" map, where they could feel how it was in the "old times", they got Tahjari Desert modified. Of course, with ranging/big spells/mines/whatever, you can't really feel the old times' nostalgia, its really different than it used to be.I remember a statement told to me that a map has different areas with different restrictions, why not add different arenas to have a differ restriction or two or three.Sorry but, in my opinion, your ideas makes no sense. Your argument that we can't have a "true oldschool map" because ranger/mages/whatever will "be hurt" makes no sense. Since nobody goes to that map, it won't change for "pure rangers" or "pure mages", they will stay away from that map, exactly as it is now.
No, the point of it "being oldschool" is that you can have "oldschool fun", the "no rostos" feature is only a very small part of the oldschool gameplay.point of the map staying oldschool is the chance to loose your gear. -
It seems better for 20 or so players (or one class) to use the map, since now almost nobody uses it at all. Why let the map stay unused for no good reason? Why change a map to satisfy only like 20 players and one class. when it gives every class an opportunity, and it's just as easy to cast magic immune to protect ones self from a mageBtw, i agree with the changes originally proposed, and i would add restrictions on ranging a bit, because you die fast to a ranger without COL.

If it was phtoshoped it was well done. I zoomed the pic looking for signs of alteration, and i could not see any.Thats s00 f00kin ph0t0 sh0pp3d -
We don't know how much fire damage it will be. Also, fire damage blends nicely with phoenix' "story/roleplaying".Should change it to a different type of AoE damage, not fire, or something that doesn't have a form of protection (Such as radiation, or magic)

And gelly doesn't affect only fighters, but those who take MN events, cold/heat damage, rad damage, poisoned food, even when you take off COL or MOL.
That said, i don't like this perk. When you do a quest, you get a reward (and have fun in process)... If you don't do the quest, you don't get the reward. So the suggestion is: if you do quest you get reward, if you don't you get reward?
I would not take it, but if it's implemented its not big deal anyway.
