  1. List of Suggestions

    Make use of item lists. They fulfill exactly this purpose. I think untradable is a bad property. How do you want to get rid of it? And if you allow dropping the item, then it's tradable again via bags. That exists... Ctrl+Z. You can reset your session counters. That indeed would be very useful. That basically exists. Research speed is determined by rationality which in turn depend on will and reasoning. Thus drink will and reasoning potions.

    That is not quite true. An EL hour is about 61 real life minutes. Thus within about 14 days you cycle through the whole of EL time, if you log in at precisely the same time every real life day. I did know or notice at first, but it's a very clever scheme imho and should not be changed - as it solves the issue you see in an elegant way IMHO. And a random time, but fixed once started for each player would make it somewhat a real quest even when people have a storybook which tells most of the clues.

    It's a quest. With a reward. Thus it makes sese to make it a ... quest. Not a walk in the sun. With 45 minutes time window it's reasonably broad (at least for #3, I haven't yet gotten to other time-limited ones) that it doesn't become a pita. But needs some... questing.

    Then the better solution is to make individual times which are rolled by a dice for each player individually upon quest start.

    It seems easy. After 14 months I managed to easily fill 260 slots of the 300 available. And that basically excludes many items which many consider essential. Currently there seem to be about 10 new items in my inventory per month ;-) As opposed to opinions expressed above, I think that the base amount of stash slots need not be raised - it would serve as a good thing which can be sold without detrimental gameplay effect as opposed to the many stones and weapons sold from shop which acts somewhat as pay2win and drive inflation (on a slight tangent, IMHO the situation would slightly improve if not stones but their effect on the buyer's char was sold). Free to Play game... please, do not force people to pay even more than at the moment -.- So far I play without money...

    1.2 million at rate of 10k a week meens being busy for 2 years, 4 months. Just saying ;-)
  9. So we had Sun Tzu day and we had an invasion, or rather two concurrent ones thanks to Selain. There was one uncapped in SRM and there was a cap<=80 in Palon Vertas' underground maps. It was an invasion which I enjoyed a lot and I just wanted to say a big "thank you" for all the effort and care which went into it in preparation but also and especially during the invasion. The PV undergrounds is funny map with several entrances distributed over Palon Vertas, one close to storage. When we entered, we found nice hordes of Ogres and Black Panthers. Later there were Falcons, Polar Bears, Armed Female Orcs, Phantom Warriors, Trolls and to spice it up a handful of Fluffies and Cyclops in the later phases. The fluffies got me once in dis cooldown - shit happens. Thus I told Selain, that multi - combat would be nice so that we could team up. Yeah :-) Well, there Selain then told us, that in the central spot of PV there were some mobs still waiting after we cleared the main area beneath the town. Sweet!. And there we got it, the multi-combat. I realised it only when I was suddendly beaten by 4 mobs simultaneously - it wasn't healthy at all, but exactly what I asked for :-) But Selain cares - and much to my surprise even hand-delivered my cheap augmented armour and the essies from my DB to Idaloran storage where I prepped for entering the undergrounds once again in order to re-join our jolly group of pest controllers :-) So, thanks Selain, you provided me with some excellent fun for surely over an hour (I lost track of time really), you taught me with this invasion that I can (meanwhile) well fight armed female orcs quite well, especially when I drain their life... Thanks and kudos!

    That sounds like a lot of spam to me... But each guild has a chan so you could make it spam the guild chan Guild chan is inconvenient. And what about two stones in two bags? Or three? 10? It again does not take care of the fact that one often also has events with friends from all around EL, not just your own guild. Better one per bag. But there we have again the ineffable channel limit...

    That's impractical for events which you hold with friends or inter-guild ones. And it doesn't solve the issue of the "pay or I won't step away till it poofs". So in the suggested form I see little benefit. Also, how does the stone know its affiliation when lying in a bag? That concept doesn't exist within EL at all, such stone would break it hard. Anything on a map is accessible to anyone in general. Yet still, it might be a nice idea, but due to this conceptual break, it will need both, very careful consideration, and probably lots of work on both, server and possibly also client-side.

  14. ach... such question cannot be answered. It highly depends on both, the definition of "powerful" and the actual task(s) you want to address. Arguably C/C++ is one of the most versatile languages around. It has also the advantage to be available practically for every system you might want to programme for, thus allows platform independent programming.

    MOB is a very new guild and the two(?) founders are online very regularily. They should know. If you think it's a problem, you might talk to them about their omission to inform you; I learnt to know them as jolly chaps with whom I usually have a great time. And for what it's worth: indeed be careful when other people ask you to do *whatever* or go *whereever*. I've lost expensive stuff as well... on non-PK maps. It sucks. It happens. One will get over it and learn from it :-) When I wear my expensive stuff, I carry a rosto. On whatever map. Thus I really suggest: take a deep breath. Take another. And accept the facts. Just carry on. If you got all that stuff you lost in three month, it will take you shorter than 3 month to get it again. Deception, treachery, PK - it's part of the game. It's part of the fun in the game.

    I think you just signed in for "please perma ban me" Especially this after such nice, and elaborate reply from Maxine, that's not how one should respond to good will.
  19. Currently the recipie for magic arrows is like 75 arrows are made from 50 yew, arrow heads, hawk feathers and an enriched magic essence. The latter dominates the price by far. Making these arrows oneself costs about 250gc worth of ings while I can buy the arrows for 80gc from NPCs. That's IMHO sad, especially as the other arrow types seem at least marginally worth making Suggestion to solve this: * Introduce an Enriched Air Essence which replaces the magic essence in this recipie. It would add some fun to mixing AiE and mixing chance for it will need adjustment so that prices for ings for this recipie stay reasonable. * Increase the number of produced arrows from this recpie. This is IMHO the worse solution as it would imbalance it wrt other similar recipies. * Increase NPC prices

    That sentence doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Either it's a static IP, then only you and your family will use it. Or it's not static, then the ISP will randomly assign it regularily to other people.

    Do you have a static IP or do you get one dynamically assigned to you by your ISP, maybe even regularily, i.e. every 24h or so?
  22. Idea for ranging daily

    I still think that the Haidir daily should be changed to give XP in the skill you shave off most HP from the monsters you are required to kill: ranging, magic or a/d, maybe also including eng. Then this would be solved at the same time.

    You need 6 in inorganic nexus to be able to harvest it. Not everybody want to spend that much PPs in this nexus. And you need a harvest level of 110, what only 110-120 players have, some of them inactive. How do you need harvest level 110 to harvest Amber? You can start getting it at half the level. Takes a bit time, but so what? At level ~60...75 it takes me about 0.25 ... 2 minutes per amber.
