Well lots of fantasy works gunpowder with magic.... Lotr that sure looked like a gunpodwer device used to blow a hole in the wall However hand connons were very slow, and highly inacurate. ideal for firing into an army to cause damage, but agasint an individual like the typical combat scenario in el it would be very impraticle. As for penetrating armour no idea how a traditional hand cannon would fare against dragon armour, but i bet it would fare poorly agasint titanium plate, similar to the armour the typical tank has nowdays, which seems to do a great job of stopping high powered rounds from modern fire arms However in game Id think it would have a terrible accuracy, resonable damage but an excellent crit hit and dam. Should be VERY slow to use, perhaps increase the damage to keep it blanaced, one good shot with a typical archer using a bow getting 2 or 3 shots off. Would also likely require shot (or iron bolts iirc from the begining of the use of fire arms) as well as possibly a fire essence per shot. perhaps having to have the fire essence used with the weapon to load it thus slowing its use down. A lovely use of blackpowder however and the eng skill, as well as another option for rangers. However improving to more "modern firearms" even the humble arquebus would be silly imo, and would detract from the fantasy realm....but again can think of a few exceptions to this over the years.

Well if it ends up breaking the rules, and getting locked it isnt better. As i said previously You are responsible for your own character regardless of who is on it.

After all the issues that have come up before about the sharing of characters with you, you still think that "But my brother did it is a really good approach?" You are responsible for your own character.

try uninstalling the game delete the folder eternal lands located in mydocuments, and reinstall...see if that helps

I believe there may be a way, as long as you can prove that you are the actual owner of the character, when you get a forum account send entropy a forum pm and he MAY be able to help, however id expect there is a small fee for this service and you would have to prove to him that it is indeed your character (youd need the characters name as well Good luck

When you unistall the game leaves a folder in my documents called eternal lands...this holds game files like chat logs, config files etc, you have to get rid of this as well, you can copy and save some like your chat log, counters etc. then delete that folder and try installing again

Check your firewall to ensure its letting you run el also updating your vieo card drivers might help. Otherwise try putting all of your details down graphics card, pc specs etc.

Not very fair on those true newbies who are investigating the world around them if the time is lessened even more... hard enough to realise your in trouble and run away as it is.

As far as i am concerned you cant be. You was unbanned under the condition of No alts, not same ip trades, no sharing etc. Yet you almost immediatly went agasint that and was straight back at your old habits! This was after a long chat ingame regarding the rules, and you promising you understood and would abide by them in the future.

Hmmmm not the greatest at this sort of issue but can try some of the basics. Have you recently installed a new firewall that may be blocking el? As you are getting to the initial stage. Have you updated your video card drivers? have you tried ctrl and o at start up (at the point you enter your name... and tried changing the settings. And have you tried unisntalling the game and re installing it (making sure you have removed all of the old files by renaming my documents/eternal lands to something else (this way you can preserve chat log, counters etc) Just a few things that i find can make a difference.

Im sorry to say it seems that your card is very old the actual vanta chipset being releases in 1999. Relase notes I highly doubt youll find a driver that will make it work on EL. Im guessing that your only option would be to get a new one. however with such an old card, your actual system might need a tweaking as well.

hit start button, then select control panel then system, look for the display adapters tree, this should tell you what card you have.

The community as a whole cant make you change the location of your bots! They can ask you to do that however. What this is all about is Roja asking the community what they feel about the Bot situation. Then I presume it will be considered and acted upon after all the opinions are looked at and considered, if a stage comes when/if bots are asked to be moved it will be done officially and not from "the community". This is not an attack agasint you. or anyone else. but a question So lets all step back take a breath, cool our heels. and discus it in a productive and level headed manner.

Just because some people dont have bots, doesnt mean they shouldnt have a chance to voice thier opinions on aspects of the game. Even if that aspect is related to bots. people contribute to the game in other ways than buying bots. I agree that some bots are overcrowding certain areas and a way to approach the situation needs to be adressed. Hopefully this thread will help find away to come to that conclusion even handedly and with out it turning into a circus. That is with out throwing accusations tirades and rants at each other.

Helps if you put the characters name in the post, that way we can see who you are refering to You wouldnt get your character banned for your computer running slow. A read through the rules would be good, then you can see what it was you did to get yourself into this situation. Link to the game rules

I dont tend to hoard anything. Currently i have less than 10kgc and i think i made an efe the other day so thats sitting in storage, until i figure out what i want to do with it...probably get a vial mold or an alembic. I dont store armour except for auggie suits and steel shields etc (i break a lot of them lol) i dont even have any Col's/fancy plate mails or high quality items, as i tend to just break them and then have to replace them and that really messes my living on a shoe string style of play up Personally i see gold and items only as a means of earning xp. If i get some gold i use it to buy some item i cant be bothered to make or some tools/books w/e it never sits in storage for long. Stones/enriched essence/rare items are the same. either use them asap to earn that little bit of extra XP or sell them to buy something for that extra xp. After all Its not like i need to keep some money in the bank to pay the rent/tax/food/internet bills or whatever things my meat bod needs to survive on. In the past i did hoard items serp stones/efe's/plates etc... But made a decision that whilst they look pretty in my storage they arnt earning any interest, or reproducing in there... so sold/used them all. Unless of course when i am working towards a goal. I currently trying to get some phys removal stones, so i will have to hoard a little gold for that. unless im lucky and find a few that is. Also i will be working on Nexus's in the near future which again will mean i'll need to hoard some items. But only as a means to approach a desired goal. In short to me GC = a means to get more EXP and when its sitting in storage accumilating dust it isnt helping to that goal.

Ummm not experianced with mac's but have you tried a complete uninstall along with any loitering files and reinstall of the client from fresh? as well as latest version of drivers etc?

I'll stick to my original advise...and still most local stores who make a living repairing pc's will still take a look at it and tell you exactly what the issue is. Still maybe someone will offer you other advise. who knows.

There are numerous reasons your pc could be no running If you cant solve this situation yourself, i would strongly recomend you take it to a reputable dealer and have them look at it. Putting new/spare parts in at random is liable to just end up costing you more money in the long run.

in that case id go for something like mullien or yarrow will be a lot slower...or if you have the nexus and the knowledge good old titanium ore (and the chance to find some nice stones)
