  1. It can sometimes happen that characters that have not been played for a long time are deleted when the server is cleaned up...

     

    For how long? I've been trying to log-in with all the password I can think of and i can't. The last time I played was in December of 2009.

     

    Try to create a new character with same name, if it alows you to create it, it means the original char does not exists anymore


  2. Just got an idea!

     

    What's about if I will enter 60-80 invance in leather set, when we will be about 10-20 mobs left, I will ask team something like that: "Did I helped enough for get exp?" If people will vote "no" - I will put all drops in front of gates and will beam out before invance over. If people vote "yes" - I will keep the drops and get exp.

     

    What do you think about it?

  3. I voted Yes both.

    Im in 120+ range

     

    Yes its ok for doing nothing while ppl are still killing stuff. When there are only dragons left, i dont see any point in make ppl need to help. I had experienced a lot of ppl death wile they try to engage the icies at the end of instances and then we need to wait those guys to come back.

    Summoning stuff will only make ppl die at those mobs because the ice will turn to weak ppl if someone that is tanking.

    Rangers always help if they have arrows left, if not going to restock at instance final mobs will only make us wait them to come back.

    Remote healing is realy unecessary, there are always people strong enought to kill thos icies alone.

     

    So yes, its ok to do nothing when there are only hard stuff left.

    Altough ppl still can help on scouting/locating them, but walking around imo is consider do nothing

     

    Regarding gear, i realy dont care about wich armor they are using, since its for their own protection and if he dies its not my problem, but the weapon/arrow should have requirements yes, cause we need to kill the mobs

    Avoid lag and resinc and you will be fine ;) thats a tricky one, but i only died when i was lagged or on resinc

    dont try to be a hero, only go for stuff you are sure you wont die for.

     

    Tip 3#

    if minimap is showing too many red dots, maybe its time for you to go to another direction, or wait more ppl to join that place.


  5. Just sharing my experience for the last couple of months making WTF instances:

     

    I had invested tons of gc to be able to perform an WTF Insta, to get full mule level, to get full AP, to get to range 50+ and some other gc on gear and perks.

    Time to get gc back right? Well, not anymore i'd say, the time where you got easily rich with WTF Insta is gone)

     

    In the last 2 monts i went to a total of 5 WTF instances.

     

    I got 1st wave as IceD 2 times and Naspa 3 times (statistics says its ok).

     

    2nd wave always 2 Bula (i belive its always like this so no prob on that)

     

    I got on 3rd wave only 1 MB all the times (statistics say it not ok, should have at least 2MB 1 or 2 times).

     

    4rt wave naspas (OK)

     

    5th wave - Casty NEVER DROPPED a nexus removal (best drop was 1 RT day stone).

     

    In average, the share in gc for each member was something around 130-150k

     

    After that, im pretty confident to say, rather, or im smegging unlucky, or WTF drops are not the as it used to be.

    From what i have heard from ppl that used to go on those instances, they had got nexus removals in a regular basis (like 3 times in 4-5 instances)

    So looks like this console will be a reality now was funded in one day lol. I really think we should look at an android version of EL or a mini game of some sort that could go on this market that is EL related would love it. :)

     

    Even beeing a nice console idea and philosophy

     

    My initial sugestion was meant to enable EL playing on mobile devices such as Tablets or smart phones, to get stuck in front of a console i already have my home PC.

     

    Also, i dont think joystick based consoles will not be able to address all EL features. that will be more likely enabled trought touchscreen devices (in substitution to a mouse) and virtualized keyboard for chatting and quick commands.

    Thats not really an error message, that means, that the client tries to connect to the main server, the server, where you want to play.

     

    Have you changed anything at your firewall, anti-virus software, router and such things?

     

    Anything, which would block port 2000 and/or would limit your connections to only a few servers/ip adresses?

     

    Or have you moved to a place, where they dont allow you to connect to the EL server, because it's a game?

    Im in a hotel for next 2 weeks, but no proxy needed to set up. (autodetect in windows LAN settings)

     

    But if it was a LAN restriction i wouldnt be able to ping it, right?


  8. Im experiencing a problem when i try to conect

     

    I get the trying to connect message during startup, but it dont connect, neither get the connection failure message.

  9. The coords would get memorized amd people would just camp them when they felt like killing people. Most would probably go naked and not risk rosto.

    Indeed, i dont see a real problem with that since its a pk map and its meant to playears kill each other. But if its a real problem to be adressed, the time on the map should solve (if can be implemented)

     

    i think people would probably just have a buddy come and kill them if you get more xp for being killed.

     

    Yes i agree, already stated on CONs, altough, it makes sense under a role play perspective, not mandatory in my whole idea tough.


  10. Hello guys,

     

    Another crazy daily sugesttion i hope you enjoy and implement.

     

    1 - NPC daily says:

    I heard rumors that someone is trying to invade map X (regular map non PK) trought map Y (pk map). Our defences are not positioned to keep X safe, can you please check any weird movements in Y?

     

    2 - Objectives:

    - Player need to check some spots in the pk map (fixed coords)

    - Player need to stay in that pk map by at least 15 minutes (or some other amount of time) ---> may be hard to implement can be made by adding more checkpoints in the map in further places and distinct directions.

     

    3) - After player reach all dots and minimum period in pk map he got completing message:

    "You have invastigated the enemyes movements, go tell your discoveries to NPC"

    3a) If player kill someone during quest period he get extra bonuses. (might also be hard to implement)

     

    3b)Alternative version - if at least 10 players that get this dayli do not kill anyone an auto GIWS for referred X map is take in action. (this might be extrimely prohibitive to implement)

     

     

     

    PROS -

    1)More PK FUN,

    2)more bricks to allmighty radu if quest also implemented in dropeable pk maps.

    3)Another dayli to entertain us :)

     

    CON -

     

    1) Some hard work implementaion?

    2) The extra bonuses by killing someone might be easy to cheat asking someone to go naked and just be killed.

    3) i dont see any at moment please fulfill with your toughts


  11. Excelent idea!!!

     

    Another possible improvement i suggest:

     

    NPC that trade plat for shop items.

    1- He could also buy shop itens for .8 (or some other %) the shop value

    pro - Small shop item sink, If u dont want the shop item anymore and no one wanna trade you ingame, u dont lose all the $ invested and can switch back to something else.

    con - due to %% cut, maybe it wont be able to implement cause there are no plat cents


  12. That can be done by requiring extremely high magic nexus for casting extremely powerful spells, so players can't put many pickpoints in human nexus and can't wear extremely good armor or weapons.

     

    Just my 2 cents.

    Then lets do something very evil:

     

    The lower your phys/coord is, the more powerful your (best) spells are :P

     

    In other words: if you have high p/c, you get a malus on strong spells.

     

    And voila, strong mage, weak fighter :D

  13. It would be great if anytime you use a great sword (unless in an invasion, instance, or invance) you get no drops. Some will say that this would make Yetis a little difficult. Then just change the Yetis atts. a little. If that is done, then the only reason left to use a great sword while training would be to farm(which isn't really training anyway). I think Radu would be happy to end spawn farming. Also, those whom really want to train will not see all the spawns taken by farmers. I know some will not like this opinion, but it is just that, an opinion.

     

    One last point:

    This would also stop many from moving up to train on a higher mob too earlier. Which, IMHO, is done WAY too often.

     

    I train on yetis with great sword, not to farm, but to maximize my xp. Simply cause high level mobs is hard to get hit, u wont hit em without a sword.

    with 130s att and not having full reasoning thats what i need to do to get att xp.

    TBH, even FCs are hard to hit without swords in my levels. After Feros u cant train without sword anymore.

     

    I started training yeti at 123/123~ a/d or so, cockatrice at 125~ a/d.

    Pr0 fighter config.

     

    Not my case, and probably most players

    If so, post the desired stats for the Ice troll.

     

    in order from weak to strong:

     

     

    Attack/Defense: 110/100 Health Points: 250 Fcw

    Attack/Defense: 115/115 Health Points: 270 Mcw

    Attack/Defense: 125/125 Health Points: 400 Yeti

    Attack/Defense: 130/130 Health Points: 300 Acw

    Attack/Defense: 135/135 Health Points: 500 Lego

    Attack/Defense: 140/140 Health Points: 350 Trice

    Attack/Defense: 145/145 Health Points: 650 Giant

    Attack/Defense: 150/150 Health Points: 3500 Red Dragon

    It seems there is a gap between Yeti and Mcw.

    I have no expericence with monster over 110 so my logical conclusion is

    Attack/Defense: 120/120 Health Points: 300

    perhaps increase the life points of Acw to 350

     

    oh and .. please make the ice troll summonable :happy:

    This would be true is only a/d levels mean anything.

    U will never be able to train in a yeti with 125 a/d.

     

    the monster level realy don't matter much in the equation, its more about p/c config for the mob.

    In my opinion the main GAP happens on 130-140 cause there are only a few spawn options with MCs and Yeti's

     

    For the levels below there are more option on spawns and doublespaws (DC+fluffy, feros and FC's)

     

    MCs and Yeti's there are only a few double spawns and lots of ppl training on them.

    KF MC double adition was realy good and i train there the most i can (when no newhope online).

    Yeti there are lots of 150's ppl that share the spawn to farm a bit so 130-140 ppl are not exclusive on their spawns.

     

    Single spawns simply give not enought xp to train on.

  15. if you have 2 amber in your inventory you get a/d exp, if you have 3 amber then ranging experience.

     

    That would be a realy easy and nice way to level up my range level without fire any arrow.

     

    Thinking on my side, that would be awsome, free rang xp, low effort. Since im fighter.

    Thinking on game side that would be realy bad.

    Other way of thinking that, whats the hardest part to level up ranging? Is to have targets to fire at right? Invances has a lot of that, so every ranger got ranging exp (i know it from guild rangers that always say how much xp they got in the end of an invance).

     

    About PK arrow cost u expend during invance, well, im pretty sure u got lots of gc from drops without many risks as fighters take like armor breaking and rosto losing (HE/SRs etc).

    As u sayd, most time ure standing in the wall shooting.

     

    So i realy dont see a reason to change it the way it is. Its fair enought from everyone as it is.

     

    Ranging shouldnt be any easier to level up, its not easy for a reason (as some stated, is already to easy to be a pr0 ranger with full AP killing ppl that took 1-2 years of a/d training).

  16. Randomizing would suck for people who go to "less used invances", ie, not 120200 or 6080, they could get it at time when they can't make team for it.

     

    Ramdomizing is the best solution for everyone

     

    I realy dont bewlive that every invance result should be win. Players may lose aswell.

     

    so if theres not enought ppl when invance is triggered, well, it happens, lets no cry about it.

     

     

    Ramdom Suggestion:

     

    IF last invance triger <= 24h

    trigger probability = 0

     

    IF last invance triger >= 24h

    when last invance triger < 30 "trigering on same ingame day last invance occured"

    trigger probability = 25%

    when last invance triger < 36 "trigering one ingame day after last invance occured"

    trigger probability = 50%

    when last invance triger < 42 "trigering two ingame day after last invance occured"

    trigger probability = 75%

    when last invance triger < 48 "trigering three ingame day after last invance occured"

    trigger probability = 100%
