  1. Mushrooms

i like this, but what with food cooldown and all, would any player even WANT to use the green ones for very little food and crippled sight...maybe if the green (disabilitating ones) ggave a lot of foodpoints. As for the others i like that, for the HP burn/regen
  2. Thread from spiders

that explains it!...wait a second....how is that possibble?!?!?!? the spiders wern;t around til yesterday! so if we follow that rule surely something else, like goblins that pick em up and eat em should drop them!
  3. an addicting game

11.468 - BOW BEFORE ME you know, take the dot away and i look damned good
  4. Teh power of da dark side!

  6. How do you keep a blonde busy?

    hey....wait a minute......
  7. "Magic Bear Hammer"

LMAO is it wrong I really want a magic bear hammer.....
  8. A couple of ideas

Ok, first off, I will be hated for this... Fire essence. we AL use them, and most of us have thousands of them cluttering around storage Maybe some risks assosiated with this? Like for however many you have in storage, increased with EFE as well theres a chance of your storage cataching fire. Hear me out! If it happened (VERY LOW CHANCE!!!!!) each of your flowers, for excample would have a chance of being burned. Ore melted, ect But weapons- What if swprds, for example, had a chance of being enchanted? This would justify the bad. I know it'd be a pain but I opened my normally full storage and found onew fire essence, and thought to myself- WTF? how has that not lit.... ahem Also, I was thinking that since the cooldowns effects on summonners, why not give the crafters a new job? MAGIC LAMPS. they can build them with ingredients unique to each creature, and they're basicly summons which don;t cost mana ok, finished, you may start insulting me now
  9. Ok, should the cooldowns stay or not?

I say - Cooldown- What would we do without it? (YES)
  10. Karma

Whilst depositing my latest lot of potions (cord) at Raven, i was healed by Katze_1 Well, i decided, as sometimes do when am healed, that some akrma was in order, so took 10 HE from store and traded her. What I DIDN'T notice was the sword she hjad put in the trade box. a s2E. not til afterwards. I was worried she had confuisded me with a trader or something, so tried desperatly to give it back, but she wouldn't take it. It became clear my little bit of karma had backfired, and another good deed point had been scored by katze. Now all we seem to use these forums for it complaining about eachother, but i think this deserves some recognition To Katze_1- one of the finest EL players i have met *raises glass*
  11. iron Shields

It stikes me, Gohan, that mrore than whining, he was asking why the price had lowered. I too, am curious, as to why, as it dosn;'t make sense...unless we use that good ol explanation by Ratman Please refrain from replying merely to be part of the crowd telling us to "stop whining". When we ask an intelligent questiopn we expect an swer with the same logic The way you phrased it makes it sound as though he was bitching about the cooldown, whereas that isn't the cse. We're all tired of the poeple whom are bitching about it, but don;t merely assume everyone does
  12. The Curse of the Uncursed

Chapter 1- The curse is lifted Kendai closed here eyes and smiled, the fire only an inch fro licking her boots. She didn’t care. As active an Orchan as she was, none could deny the pleasure of these lazy summer days on Isla Prima. She wondered briefly WHY the fire was lit. She felt she would melt as it was. She reached into her bag and took out an apple, tossing it over her shoulder to the now present Shea. An elven friend of her’s. Well, she said friend. In actual fact Kendai had tripped over a tree root and bumped into the bear Shea had angered. With all the praise, however, she felt going with the flow wasn’t a bad idea “Guess what?†Shea said, shrilly “I summoned a Gargoyle!†Kendai grinned widely. Shea had been working on that for almost a week “Congratulations†The elf sat beside her friend and lay flat on her back, taking in the beautiful sky. Kendai knew, yet she marvelled at THIS land less and less since finding Irillion. “Seen Sryen today?†Shea asked Kendai. Kendai stopped smiling “No†she replied. If it was true that your ears turned red when one was speaking of you, Sryen ears must have fallen off. There was no love lost between them “I’m glad. Today’s a nice day and I don’t particularly want-“ She trailed off as a piercing scream filled the air. They both scrambled to their feet and gazed into the direction of its source. There were houses and trees blocking their view. It was a long way off Kendai sat back down “Probably someone was attacked by a beaver again†she chuckled Shea wasn’t convinced “I’m gonna go check it out†Kendai sighed as her footsteps trailed off. That girl cared TOO much sometimes Lemonstar had never run this fast in his life. He had too, to keep up with Faye. She was probably already at the ‘beam’. It was still called that despite the fact no one had managed to teleport for months He stopped to breathe for a moment, and turned the 180 degrees to see if Ashen had caught up. He doubted it…that was some weight he was carrying. Nevertheless, he had to catch up. Lemon turned and continued jogging Marthelomew Mind sat at the fire, and was putting the finishing touches on a steel shield when everyone stopped talking. SHE was here. “We need a master†Faye was shrieking, in barely recognisable words No one replied. They were used to the strange summonners fits “SOMEONE CALL A MASTER OR I’LL SUMMON FORTH SOMETHING TO-“ “They’re off arranging something†Mr Mind spoke up. He couldn’t be bothered to fight whatever her anger conjured up “In Nordcarn. BUT, Lord Vermors In the tavern†Faye nodded and took off “You’re welcome†the elderly trader muttered. No sooner had she gone than an elf clad in blue arrived. He recognised the fellow, though knew not his name. He stopped and panted, as though he had run for hours “Faye…Did….Faye….Here….?†he attempted to ask, the words turning to jelly in his mouth “She’s going to see Lord-“ he paused “What the-“ Behind the Elf a tall blonde fellow walked slowly towards them. But it wasn’t his hair that amazed everyone on the island. It was the body slung over his shoulder. That did not happen….. As soon as the Lord Vermor had heard he had put out a message over the lands. Everyone was to return to the safety of Isla Prima IMMEDIATELY. It had drained him to do so, however. The need was dire As he left the tavern he saw a sea of faces crowded around the beam. He fought his way to the front and knelt beside the three fallen figures. Fox Lupine of –IC-, and the brothers Jumigno and Daer, newcomers to the lands. He sighed and stood up to address the crowd “Due to these occurrences†he bellowed “Boats to other towns and lands are now closed off! We want everyone to be accounted for here!†Angry moans and complaints broke the silence there had been. But he wasn’t about to argue. He turned and strode back to the Tavern. “Is this the way a master should behave?†the storyteller asked Lord Vermor as he closed the door “You†Vermor sighed “To what do I owe this intrusion. I was assured this room as empty†Brom grinned toothily “You Young’uns†Don’t think the only way through a lock is a key†Vermor sat down and poured himself a glass of wine “So to what do I owe this visit. You know something?†Brom sat down beside him and took the glass Vermor had already poured “Everyone around knows of the Curse of Morto’s……You know, I know. Those crowds out there know†“Yes†“Well, it seems the curse has finally lifted. What we all wanted, we have been given†“That’s impossible†Vermor yawned “The gods don’t affect us anymore. They outlived their-“ “Not impossible†Brom whispered “Those lads should have faded into light, and awoken in the underworld. Are those lifeless bodies not proof enough of what I speak?†“No†the lord answered icily “It’s not. If you’ll excuse me, I’m getting another room†“Inform the people†Brom told the Lord as he left “Warn them….Morto’s does not have mercy such as this for no reason†“You want me to inform a crowd of which are mostly atheists, to watch over their shoulder for the evil god Morto’s?†Vermor asked angrily Brom pushed past Vermor and left without a word ---------------------- Enjoy. Please reveiw. If i didn;t include you in this chapter you'll be in the next...and by the way, please post character apps in thread in general chat already running or forum pm me thanks
  13. The Curse of the Uncursed

I apoligse, and yes I would be honored to see this on EL.NET. It is a chapter based thing though, and more will come. I think i'll finnaly finish chapter 2 after work. Just have had a lot of RL stuff going on....
  14. Cooldown log

This isn't an issue with small things like Fire essence, but when you're making a batch of HE it could take way too long.... I initally liked the idea of a cooldown, and I still do. But it seems a bit extreme to have 50 seconds. I think we can expect this to cause quite a change on market channel. With everything more difficult to make, everything shall be FAR more expensive, and some items might be in very short supply. I'm sure pots of feasting will be important now, however. I feel sorry for all the "powerhungry" players
  15. The invasion of Mortos

Well heres my version, and Maxim needs to post his as well, methinks. Just wanna say thanks for waht was the most fun I' ve had on EL for ages! despite the constant dying. I killed one skel -------------------------------------------------------- Today, I fought a war. Not a conventional war, with the men on one side, and orcs on another No. I fought alongside Elf and Orchan alike. Gnomes, drarves, elves, and even the scattered Dragonei of Seredia. I remember….well, of course I remember, though in the many deaths I died my memory is fuzzy. I do remember visiting one of my dearest friends. Lemonstar, an elf of the guild –IC- I belonged too. I had mixed him some death essence. Turned out he would need them. As I made my way back to Nordcarn, I had to go through the land of Whitestone. The journey should have been uneventful. A booming voice echoed the lands; though I got the impression it was within each of our heads we heard him speak. The very sky darkened as though in fear of this new threat. And a threat it was. The voice made the claim to be the Dark lord Mortos, most evil of the gods. He mocked us, challenged us to defend the god Unolas of spellslinging. I believed it. I can’t say why. Maybe it’s the way such evil gets into your brain Luckily, I was in armour……well. I wore a fur cloak and leather pants and boots. Hardly armour, but I had my blade at least. A steel Two edged sword. I ran all the way to Vermor castle and right into my dear friend Maxim Ironist, renowned warrior of W and W. I grew concerned, as I knew Maxim had served Mortos in the past, but my friend was insistent he would use the power of the evil god to do what was right. By the time I arrived the fighting was over, more or less. I met but one unclaimed foe, and engaged in duel with a relentless pile of walking bones. The fight lasted not, and I sent him back to the grave he belonged in. Part of me was disappointed. The other part was grateful. The latter was soon disappointed though, when the voice once again cursed our names in our minds and challenged us to fight at the boarder to Tyrnum. I would not miss this battle. Maxim and I took off at a run, our stamina wearing thin as we finally reached Lakeside. My supplies were limited, as this was all much unexpected. I had only a handful of Health Essence with me. In these situations, you notice not your allies. Until this point I hadn’t realised how many of the people of Seredia had arrived to fight this evil threat. Grim determination reflected on every face. Some claimed to see the God himself. I never saw him. All I saw was a Mountain Chimerian wolf dashing towards me with a hungry glint in its red eyes. I took up my sword. It was no use. As the heavy beast crashed into me any hope of defending myself was lost. I thought I heard Lemonstar calling my name, and prayed he would have the good sense to run. I clambered to my feet in the world of fire and ash, besides a pool of lava. The pain was intense as always and normally I would take a breather. However, Aluwen needed me now. Checking the damage, I had lost all but my sword and fur cape, which the flames were licking at, so I abandoned. By the time I got back to Whitestone the arena had changed. Tirnwood Vale, location of the summoning god Selain, was under assault. There appeared to be confusion, as no one was sure which side Selain was truly on. The question was answered for me as a Ferran sought me and maxim out. It swung a mighty claw at my chest, and that was it’s mistake. As I dodged the blow I pushed my sword forwards, slicing clean through the creatures Leg/arm. It didn’t even react as it lost a paw, and I overestimated the blow I dealt. That was my downfall. Another visit to hell for me… When I finally reached the point of my demise once more, the battle was over. I was pleased to see Lemonstar standing in one piece beside Master Ironist, his staff still intact. Maxim caught sight of me and a wide grin broke across his face. “We won†he told me in the tone of one whom wasn’t sure weather to believe it himself. The two words were slowly repeated all around him, by the many warriors whom had turned out. Maxim rose his sword and pointed it skyward calling “Victory!†Soon the battleground was as loud as it had been during the fight, us mocking the god that dared attack what was right. ------------------------------------------------- Fox looked over the parchment he had written over, and smiled to himself. Holding it in one hand, he used the other to shred it into four equal pieces, and threw it in the air, letting the letter float onto Whitestone Lake. It did not matter to him if Aluwen read it, only that he had told her. If Evil came again, Fox would be ready, and hopefully stronger Time to get home, Lemonstar needed more Death Essence.

  20. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Fox was not a violent induvidual, though in current circumstances, he didn;lt trust himself defenceless. Reaching for his sword, he unsheathed and held tightly in his right hand, holding it down as not to appear hostile "Greetings" he squinted at the man, whose aura seemed to glow around him
  21. The Curse of the Uncursed

Heres the thing, I enjoy writing and had a great idea for an Eternal Lands fanfic/story I thought it would be a good idea to include the players I know and or know of, but I don't KNOW everyone properly. It will be made into a LOT of chapters, and should be good. I realise this should be in stories, but considering the storyline for this there is NO WAY it could be implmented into game history or anything, this is more for fun than anything So if someone could inform me weather the stories board is ok, that would be great. this thread is for profiles. If you wish to be included (and EVERYONE who sdigns up will be, even if they have very tiny parts and die off ) then please give me a minimum of name, age, gendar, race, weapon, skills, strengths, weaknesses, guild, anything else you want to include is up to you, obviuously the in depth characters will have bigger parts Ty
  22. The Curse of the Uncursed

In the story section. Chapter 1 up
  23. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Fox stepped back onto the deck, his confusion only matched by the intense cold he felt. He spotted The orcon women on the dock, with another fellow.....if they were leaving....they must know what was going on Poor logic, but he stepped onto the deck "What has happened here?" the human asked
  24. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Fox stared out to sea, more concerned now, and part of him wishing he HAD missed the ship. They appeared to be changing diorection...He knew nothing of the sea and its islands, but the panic settling into the other passengers was clue enough that something was off He turned around and sighed deeply. Whatever was going on, he didn't like it. He had never met Ladywolf, but knew of her. If SHE had been scared away, whay did one as low as Fox remain?
  25. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

A magnificant flash of light woke Fox from his slumber. Standing and yawning, arms outsreched, he recognised the fading illumination as that which called one to the 'portal room' Fox stepped up to the irritated looking crew member "Do you know who left?" he enquired The dwarf shook his head "Does ANYONE know who left?" Fox asked, exasperated
