The real difference between fighting and harvesting is that with fighting you have something to do: Heal, use SRS, replace armor now and then, pick up bags, cast spells, etc etc. When harvesting all you can do is sit, wait, and click now and then. It's really boring in the end and gives as good as no exp.

     

    If the harvest hour was removed I think it would be fair to keep the current event rates since you always need to pay attention.

     

    And don't say "oh no then harvester would get a lot of exp". Fighters already get a lot of experience (in 2 skills actually) since top 100 fighters have higher a/d than number 1 harvester. And is there something wrong with someone who harvest all days to have a harvest level of 130 or something?


  2. I'll admit, I hate the mini harvesting events, but Ive thought about something that would help those who hate it..

     

    How about making a enhanced harvest med? Stops mini events from occuring and is only sold from a NPC. Price ~10k. It gives the same stats as a normal harv med, but stops the mini events from occuring. It would have the same break rate as a regular Harvest Med. Because its sold from a NPC, it would remove gc from the game. 10k Is cheap enough for those with a high bankroll to purchase, yet expensive enough that your garden variety n00b cant purchase it.

     

    With the breaking rates of a normal harvest med it would be cheaper to just buy raw materials. Well thought out idea :)


  3. The only way to properly counter it is to limit the harvestible quantity of materials per day, and players don't want that.

     

    I don't see how this would fix the problem?

     

    Currently prices of ores are rising. This means the supply lowered or there is more demand. Since the first possibility isn't possible in this game there is only the 2nd one left. Now if you want limited harvests you also insert the first problem. So the effect would be even worse and prices will go much higher.


  4. one more thing about rares - when u harvest, u can find stones, including 400kgc worth nexus ones. Does that mean that u should sell ores cheaper? Or give your 100k iron ores for free cause u've found one? If someone has made 3 EFEs in 10k FEs, would he sell them @1gc each. He wont be at loss then, EFEs will pay for it, right?

     

    That's not the same thing. You harvest iron to sell or use them, you don't harvest iron to get a nexus stone (then you could easily harvest flowers, same chance on nexus stone).

    Only way to really counter this kind of mass production is to lower the chance for special swords/armors A LOT (so you only get one by luck and not by producing tons of them).


  6. The real problem I think is the price of special swords/armors. Some manuers are just producing stuff in bulk to try to get a special armor/sword. Even if you lose like 3-5k on some item when selling, you can easily earn that back when you make something special and sell it for 250-300kgc. With those proces you can easily produce 50 items at a loss and still make a profit in the long run.
