  1. Issues like that just means the server would have to track restrictions, name history, and other factors. Yup. Fully agree with this point. It shall not be that difficult to restrict wrongdoers from hiding. Whereas pitiful souls that strive for some variety shall never be limited!

However, I was referring to a "medieval fantasy game", not "a pedantically accurate history of Medieval Europe" (or else I would be complaining about alchemy, magic, dragons, etc.). Should I go through a list of all "medieval fantasy worlds" that include gunpowder pieces of weapon? What you argue is gunpowder weaponry does not fit in your understanding of "medieval fantasy world". There is no contradiction between medieval & fantasy & gunpowder.

    Border-line Necro - dude not even Sauron would attempt to necro something this long dead! Sauron was not a necromancer, why would he attempt it? Moreover, it's a really good idea which has been long forgotten and deserves being revisited. We should probably avoid necro-analogy at this point, though.

    It is a medieval fantasy game. So... what's your point? Maybe, just maybe you should google following: 1. medieval (just check the time-frame) 2. first use of gunpowder and guns/cannons. Ignorance is a bliss. However, sometimes it might be better not to announce it broadly.

    I know this is border-line necro, but can we revisit muskets and other gun-powder based weapons? They could have lower accuracy and range than bows or crossbows, but should hit like a mule. Pretty pwease?

  7. Torch

    I was wondering if we could get back to this idea. It would be amusing to see invasions during the nights with people standing on the walls with torches to light the monstes below so the archers can shoot them down. Of course, that would require including the torch-range, changing light conditions and the like and their impact on ranging. However, that would be absolutely epic!
  8. Seems reasonable. Have it cost 100K gc per use which goes to Darrock's storage. Nah, the GC poofs instead of going to any players or mods. I like this idea. However, I would make it more general. 100k gc disappears from the game, proportionally substracted from all players storages. That would make all players keep their gc on their own and hence more rostogol stones would be in use all the time and the comman would be abused just to #makedarrockdeadagain!

  10. Yo, Rules. 1. The invasion will cover 6 randomly chosen non-PK Irilion (c2) maps. 2. At the start of the invasion I will be hiding in one of them. 3. I will help you in finding me with answering questions with 'yes', 'no' or 'maybe', in channel 6. I will not answer questions about map name and similar. 4. The first person that finds me will be allowed to choose the cap monsters in the map will be spawned at. Allowed caps are between 80 and 150 + uncapped with a step of 10. The choice and number of monsters is up to me. I will try to keep it on the easy side. Note: it is not possible to chose the same cap twice. 5. Once I'm found and the monsters are spawned I will wait for around 15 minutes to keep the invasion going and relocate. 6. Go to point 2. CHANGE. In round 6 I allow to re-use of any of the caps previous used. Moreover, I will be giving hints instead of answering questions. Honestly, you would have no clue what to ask about If you do not find me within 30 minutes from the start of the final round I will just drop monsters at the cap of my choice in the nearest multicombat map to my hiding spot.     People who found me were: MooseMan4 Maxine vzbucks Lalaith Joan FairyTail (supported by Lalaith) In the final round the hint was as follows (please... forgive lack of consistency and artistry - I made it up on spot): I will start with giving some hints on the general surrounding. I am not in the map the invasion will be run in. I am insides. The map itself is multicombat and is connected to some other maps. Actually, it is surrounded from all sides. There are trees in this map. There is some water. Some mountains and other stuff. Well balanced, isn't it? I have this doubtful lack spend my time chatting with you guys in rather hostile environment. Getting here was no easy, either. It requires a pair of really good eyes to find one's way, I'm afraid. Anyway, I'm digressing What surprised me when on my way here was the map emblem. I mean... what the heck was that? It was not really similar to any creature I've seen here. I suppose I was not looking around carefully enough. Though, I was not running either. Nothing was hunting me. Anyway, back to my story before I stroll into another digression. Have I mentioned the river? It's a really picturesque one! It slowly meanders through the area forking beautifully. I had a really nice nap over it. And the dreams I had. You would never believe it! Hmm... another digression. So... I was having my meaningful walk to the right and to the left and to the north and to the south when I realised that all the meaningfulness of my walk turned into being completely lost. Luckily! I followed FairyTail's piece of advise and used my map! It helped me to get lost even more! A pity. Otherwise I would be able to tell you where I found this weird little place where I got underground. Oh well.I guess you all can blame FairyTail for this missing one piece of information. Luckily, once I was underground I realised somebody prepared themselves a really comfortable place to spend time. With a little shooting area, too! How clever! I thought, before I realised I couldn't shoot anything there. Bugger! Alas! My source of light, which was my bright mind extinguished and surrounded by complete darkness I started to walk around feeling my way around. Again. Yet another surprise awaited me. I found a little narrow passage that led me to a strange complex lit with unearthly light. I followed the path there... which was not perfectly safe... Who let them wolves there?! I sneaked between ferocious beasts to the small passage at the very end of the complex. Just to realise that some madman decided to try my wits. Which we already established got somewhat diminished slightly earlier. Braving myself I pushed forward... ending here and feeling really warm. That's the end of my story and end of the hints
  12. Android client, 7th release

    I have used it for a bit now. I like the graphics. My concern is generally understood UI. Some parts of it are just too small for me to click (Galaxy S6), eg. menu items - I tried the infamous pinch gesture to scale them (a habit for most of android users by now). Some tweaks from maxine posts, that would make gameplay simplified in comparison to PC would be good. If they work - maybe some them could be introduced to PC client as well? All in all, I like the direction it goes to. I hope to see it develop further.
  13. Rules: 1. Naralik will be capped at 100 2. Grubani Peninsula - capped at 135 3. Ruins of Tirnym - uncapped. 4. In each of these areas there will be 4 waves of monsters. All monsters will be spawned from the start and release at random intervals. 5. The invasion will last for 60 minutes. 6. After 60 minutes I will spawn bosses.
  14. 1. Uncapped. 2. To get bosses clear the invasion within 80 minutes from the beginning. 3. First wave will be outsides, on the easy side. 4. Second wave will be on the path to volcano, on the tough side. 5. Third wave will be inside the volcano. 6. Each wave will be released after killing previous.
  15. Rules: 1. Monsters will be capped at 110 and 145. On the easy side (probably). 2. There will be an objective to get bosses: reach me in Carmien Manor after killing all monsters in 75 minutes from the start. 3. First wave will be in South Kilaran Field. 4. Second wave will be in Carmien Manor. However, I will make the monsters active and ready to be killed only after the first wave is cleared. 5. It is allowed to help between caps by healing each other. No magic or summoning allowed to attack monsters below your cap. Cheers, ~v

  17. The monsters of Draia felt a sudden urge to kill all the peaceful harversters stealing gold, diamonds, silver, rubies and hydrogenium ore. They thought it easy gain to simply kill the roaming harvesting ants. Rules: 1. Invasion will come in waves, every 30 minutes. 2. The following wave (does not include the first one) can be stopped if all monsters from previous waves are killed. 3. First wave will include a random selection of gold ore deposites. Second will affect diamonds. Third silver ore. Fourth Rubies. Fifth... hydrogenium ore as well as a random selection of all kind of mines. It won't be pretty. 4. If you stop the invading army before 5th wave you will get bosses. Otherwise, you will have a lot of random monsters in random places to clear. Some of them might be bosses. 5. Invasion is uncapped. 6. Should you get to the bosses, some of them will be capped at 115, some at 145 and the rest will be uncapped. Cheers.

    The rules of the invasion. 1. Starting in Magic School in Tarsengaard at 0:45 game time. 2. Uncapped. 3. There will be 2000 monsters spawned inside the School (that includes gardens). 4A. If the monsters are cut down to less than 300 in 45 minutes, I will spawn bosses. 4B. If not, Tarsengaard will be invided to fill-in to 3000 monsters. 5. If after another 45 minutes the monsters will get cut down to 600 or less, there will be a bosses wave. 6. Otherwise, the monsters will start invading all neighbouring maps (WS, VotD and PL in first order). I will fill the maps to maintain 3000 monsters. 7. Go back to point 5. 8. If the target is not met before I manage to populate all Seridia (excluding Isla Prima). There will be no bosses at all.

    Rules are simple. 1. Invasion is uncapped. 2. Waves of increasing diffuculty will arrive after: 20, 35, 45 and 50 minutes from the start. 3. Kill 80% of the monsters by 75 minutes from the invasion start to get bosses. Capped at 110 and 140 in AA. Uncapped in the AA Fortress. 4. Should you fail to meet the target number of monsters... the bosses will have a whole orchestra to waltz with them. Cheers.

    I suppose I might've not been clear about lack of agreement to using several characters to track Joker. I was quite clear, though, that additional characters from this IP might lead to troubles (upon rule 11: No character spamming). I was not present when the banning was happening. Cannot provide additional information in this topic. If anything, I would be willing to give a chance. So far communication with both characters was polite with (apparently, not so...) mutual understanding.
  21. The event rules. Start point: Isle of the Forgotten End point: Idaloran Maps affected: A variety of maps in Iirilion. Conditions to win and get bosses: PK me before I reach Idaloran (it will be possible in every and each of maps I visit - for a period of 10 minutes each). Rules: 1. I will visit 11 maps and spawn monsters in them. They will be uncapped in the first map I visit (IotF) and capped in all other maps for a short period of time. 2. Starting with the second map I visit you will have 10 minutes time slot to PK me (I will be unarmed with a bit of healing potions to deal with random damage). 3. If you don't get me in this period I will uncap all monsters in the map and move to the next one. While moving you will not be able to PK me. I will use only regular means of transport. Reward: If I am PKed before Idaloran you will get bosses in two maps: 1. Bethel --> capped at 120 2. Kusamura Jungle --> uncapped
