That's the way it's implemented in every single game I've played so far (including your "no xp" remark). I agree there should be no risk of losing stuff (dropping or breaking). Results of duels should be announced in local, no channel 6 spam. The idea seems interesting, I'd like to see it in game.

I insist this thread is kept civil(ised), no matter how much tongue/fingers biting it takes. I might be uneducated, but I can easily lock (two clicks) this thread or remove (3 clicks) it if you decide not to follow my request.

Personally, I think it should be default. I like the idea of having separate stats/buddy privacies. As far as I don't care about stats much, I don't like random buddy requests.
