  1. Personally I think you should get exp for pvp however, I don't understand why we're allowed multiple chars to interface with eachother. It can and will most likely be "abused". We're not allowed this on main server, why on PK?


  2. U also have to bare in mind that lvling magic is very expensive unless u do that while a/d training and u will need some way of making gc for a mage( with low emu, so low p/c it is pretty hard to make any gc).

     

    Profitable spell(s) like "phones to gold", but requiring magic nexus to cast or something? :D

  3. I agree, that without a cap, the "invincible" high level players, will only take losses due to grue.

    But, on the other hand, a good amount of them, have been there from the start, so treating

    them like legends, might not be so bad. (give them a special cape? compromise?)

    Define "from the start" ;P

    And to the quiters.. Omg.. hahaha

    Throughout my time in the game I've seen some drastic changes and this is nowhere close to the top. Get your acts together and think rationally, it's not like when they changed the name of Evil Castle to Vermor Castle.. now that was some confusion times.......


  5. It sounds like a good idea however it depends on how this class is aquired and how it affects normal combat too.

     

    Personally I think taking a mage class should have penalties in normal attack/defence combat style.

     

    Just making it hard to aquire is an option however eventually everyone can achieve it after long hard work. And by that time they're most likely already powerful. I think the class should be avaliable for everyone and it would be a choice between a fighter or a mage.

     

    I'm not saying a mage can't wear armour or a mage can't train attack and defence, I'm saying they should have some kind of penalty in melee combat.

  7. As for alchemy, the ings for the essences are very easy to come by, it's not very hard to get ings for 10k LEs, for example. (I have a few times, takes a day or two) and it would give (me atleast) 570k or so experince after fineshing mixing.

     

    i did 10k LE when the artificer perk STILL EXISTED, i made about 14 ELE in 10k LE :) and it got me some major levels and a rosto :mace: so i agree with yo uthere

    Actually the perk still exists... you just cant take it anymore :P


  8. When starting the game I got a blank background at the loading screen and a the loading bar didn't load fully which terminates the session.

    Solution:

     

    I opened my el.ini found in "C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Eternal Lands\main"

    and scrolled down to

     

    This option allows you to specify a directory other than the current directory to load data from.

    This needs to be set to where you installed EL.

    For Windows users, the default is "c:\Program Files\Eternal Lands\".

    For Gentoo users, the ebuild installs in /usr/share/games/eternal-lands.

    #data_dir = "c:\Program\Eternal Lands"

     

    See to it that the #data_dir is set to the correct path where you installed EL

     

    Apparently it had altered the data_dir on it's own somehow
