  1. To try to adopt or not...

Hey, my wife and I have just started the adoption process. We're in our late 20's (kinda hurts to type that...like I'm making it official), and decided why have one of our own, when there are so many kids being born each day with no one to love or take care of them. So, we spent months thinking and praying about this before we took the first steps. Everything just felt right, just like when I met my wife, and she felt the same, so we decided to go for it. We'll probably be adopting a child of another race, and that's cool too. You may not have the option of much time, but i would suggest you and your wife really search your hearts because there's no going back. We expect it to be a very rewarding, but challenging exerpience. I'd be curious to find out what you decide and how it goes. So, keep us posted.
  2. A few questions...

I'm pretty new, so I just learned a bunch of this. I'll answer your questions the best I can. Q: What does P2P mean? When I started the game, I tried to be one of the dragon-people creatuers (I forgot the name), but every name I typed in was 'taken'. Then I tried Symbolic on the elf, and it worked there, but not in the P2P column. A: As far as I can understand, they aren't going to have a pay 2 play version now. But the game is still in development and some races are not available. Q: How long does it take to mine/harvest things? I tried to harvest a flower or something and I sat there for about five minutes before it would harvest. A: I'm not sure on this one, I've never waited long to start harvesting. It usually starts right up. Q: how can I tell what level I am? I know what my skill levels are, but I'm not sure what my total lvel is, and in the beggining of the game, it said that I wouldn't really die until level seven, just telported back to the beam thing. A: Along the buttons on the bottom, there is a button that looks like a bar graph. Click on that and it will list your overall level toward the bottom right. It will also show your levels in individual skills and how many points you need to advance in them. Q. Where can I find a map of the regions? I get confused when try to find some place, but don't know where to go. A: Hit tab key to view the map your in. Go to this address to view maps of every region: (along with a ton of other good info) http://o.tfm.ro/ Q: Where are the mines? I can't find them, and I need money to buy armor and weapons and things. A: Two ways to make money early on are to kill rabbits and sell their first and meat at the taverns and to harvest flowers and sell them to the florist. From there you can increase your levels and then be able to afford some weapons and armor. It takes a little while to get established. Q:When I reach level seven and die, do I keep any items, or do I lose all of them? A: I'm not sure. I haven't died in awhile. I hope this helps. The real key for me was killing those rabbits and selling the flowers. I built up my attack, defense, harvesting and overall levels...plus enough gold to start buying.
  3. attack and defense stats

Okay, another inane question. How do you make leather?
  4. attack and defense stats

Thanks to both of you. It makes the game more fun when you can figure out all that's going on. I'll be kill'n me some deer tonight.
  5. attack and defense stats

Cool. Is there no way to look at them or a chart anywhere online that shows what your stats are. I'm trying to guage how close I am to graduating from the rat/rabbit/beaver hunting club to deer/foxes/snakes. I'm at lvl 11 on both attack and def. I've got 45 hp, a wood quarterstaff, iron torso, leather pants, iron helm. Do you think I could take a deer? Thanks for your help, by the way.
  6. attack and defense stats

The #arm command worked great, as did some others I learned, but then I advanced from level 10 to level 11 in off and def and my stats didn't change. But I got new armor and the improved my def. stats. So, do the attack and defense levels do anything to improve your attack and defense, or they simply a vehicle to gain experience to increase your overall level? Bear with me, I'm figuring this game out one thing at a time.
  7. attack and defense stats

Cool #arm, I'll try it. Are there other commands like that? Is there a list somewhere?
  8. attack and defense stats

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to see your AC and attack numbers? I see that certain armor, for example, increases your attack, but can never find what my attack number is. This is probably just something easy that I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated.
