I went from 31 FPS to 10-13 with the beam campfire turned on. I have an NVidia GeForce 4. I have a 2.67GHz processor. More info: While at beam, whenever another effect happens, my FPS drops temporarily to about 6. At some point today, I'll go test a fight and see what happens. Hm. The harvesting effects don't seem to cause too many troubles, but this may be because there are no other players nearby. Spell effects cause my FPS to drop into the single digits, about 2-6. Hope this is helpful Let me know if there is something I can play around with to help test this. Note: I can't test the shadowmapping, my graphics card doesn't support it. More info: Fountains kill me. Down to 1-3 FPS when I'm within range (maybe 3-4 screen lengths, if you know what I mean) of them. Checked for PV and WSC.

EL tends to have problems with SiS cards, so you will probably never get great performance. However, you should update your graphics drivers. There are instructions for doing so here: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30465 For your convenience, here is the SiS driver download page: http://www.sis.com/download/ Try that and let us know if it helps. It's the source of most EL graphics problems, especially with older cards/chipsets.

I don't like this idea, it just seems like a way to get around the requirements of the cape, which I suspect were made for a reason. I have a feeling that the required nexus was made so high so that only people who REALLY want the effects of the cape (i.e. dedicated manuers/alchers) get them. To be honest, I like the fact that it require a high human nexus. I agree as well with the people who say that reset is not required. I keep pps unused, unless there is a specific reason I need to use them. I reset once to get rid of a negative perk for a stupid reason. It was *not* a needed reset.

There are lots of NPCs with missing portraits, esp on C2.

I encountered the same problem with Baostas. They have to be in storage, even though he tells you to bring them. I also dropped them in a bag, and clicked "Sure I have them!" and got the same message that looked like he accepted them, but he had not.

He bought them legally and in a normal gun shop, one a month for two months, in accordance to VA state law. Like I said before ttlanhil, there should not be NO requirements for getting guns. I think the VA laws are too lax, from what I've seen of them. But I don't think there should be an all-out ban on guns either.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. I don't see a problem with people being allowed to carry guns, as long as the relevant background checks etc are done. I mean, I don't think any Joe Schmo should be able to walk into a shop and say "Hey, dude, gimme that one" without question, but since the people who want guns for a bad purpose will get them no matter what laws are made, if they really want to, why not put a few into the hands of good people as well? Even if we do take away guns, they will find something else to kill people with (axe, chainsaw, baseball bat, knife, boxcutter, caligraphy pen, bare fists,...). I could be wrong, it is just my current opinion. I grew up in an environment where people kept guns for self-defense and hunting. and were very responsible about them.

They do, until they reach the level where they can get really good stuff, and then they don't. Seems to be a common pattern. If you guys are really so gosh-darn worried about rich people, then go work hard and make yourself rich. Applies to in-game xor RL (I doubt it's in-game or RL).

If they don't mind waiting afk, then cool, that's awesome, better for both people. What I really meant is that I think it's better to share than to get into a pissing match over who gets to monopolize two spawns.

I agree, respawn times are a (dis)advantage to the animal you choose to train on. Still need to share, IMO

In my personal opinion as a player, the people who try to claim that they "own" spawns need to grow up. Especially if they are trying to claim sole "ownership" of a double/triple spawn. Talk about greedy! Sometimes there are not enough spawns for everyone (especially on good days like...well, I forgot the name of it, but the one that gives you 2x or 3x experience in a/d). So what do I think everyone should do? Learn to share! I frequently share even a single spawn with someone, even if they come after me! In my opinion, being nice and spreading a trend of sharing is more important then getting a level a little faster. But like I said, this is my personal opinion.

Lol I don't know if the donations could get any crappier than 1 bread, 1 leather, or 1 gc Besides, I think this could add a whole new aspect to "Joker" contests. For example, "I just donated a magic s2e to joker! Good luck!" In my opinion, that would be pretty cool.
