  1. CEL Site Update

    Don't have either to test
  2. Heavy minerals harvesting strategy...

The recent shapeshifting form of Mules could help, especially in a guild project
  3. Feasting Potion vs. Bones

I don't eat dead people... but a combination of bones & FP (or FP & toadstools for shroom heads) is probably the best. Cooldown isn't that big an issue. FP cool down in 10 seconds and shrooms/bones have none.
  4. Wannabe crafter needs advice

I'm no Molime or Ghrae.. But vials are great for xp when you can make them I did enjoy vials... until the molds started breaking. While it is GREAT xp... EFEs or vial molds make it questionable whether you make any money. Popular Craft Training Items: Thread (harv & make at cotton patches), Polished Sapps, Medallions, Vials Once you get to level 80, you should be getting 95% success rate on Glacmor rings. So a little bit of harvesting can mean breaking even or turning a small profit. Plus the xp is higher than most other things.
  5. best pk drop ever

    What's a PK drop?
  6. Having guild channel not count in the 3 *IS* the same as increasing the number of guild channels to 4.... but I do like this idea. And for Iori, who doesn't want to type @@guild before messages... make #jc guild your default channel. It will cut down on chalks (mis-channels) or at least have any chalks only seen by your guildies. And you can still monitor other channels. It would be nice if we could choose the color coding of the 3 or 4 channels we have active as well. Maybe Buddy list style, where we can see a short list of which channels are active and be able to right click / color code them... but with more than 6 choices
  7. I'm not sure everyone checks the bot forums. I would think a more appropriate location for a public vote would be General Chat.
  8. possible Firefox and EL conflict

I run FireFox 3.0.4 and EL and have no problems.
  9. List of Trade Bots

Given the new pinned thread - does this thread still serve a purpose?
  10. Mat banned :/

Please be patient. The Community Manager and Developers do have to sleep from time to time and have real lives as well. I'm sure they will respond when they are able and have reviewed the details about your ban.
  11. “yes,” “I’m in,” “I opt in,” AND “I agree to participate” In Game Name: Ghrae Forum Name: Ghrae Real Life: Male
  12. Harvesting skill

I don't see the purpose of removing something accurate for something inaccurate. Why don't you just append? "Harvesting is used to calculate the failure rate when you are harvesting or mining. Thus, as your harvest level increases, your failures decrease and the speed of which you harvest items increases". Sadly, even that isn't 100% accurate. Each harvestable item has a base harvest time that you can not harv faster than no matter what your level.
  13. Finding Your Astrology Sign

I have a feeling that fighters would be against such an idea. If you know a fighter is going into a PK map... and you know which group he is in, have a friend in that group and find out his A/D is low or his break rate is high, you could go in to the PK map to take advantage of that information. At one time, Entropy said he **might** one day add the ability to find out your sign, but there has been very little demand for it.
  14. FAQ about mules

That doesn't match the math. 9 hours = 540 minutes. Each food lasts 30 seconds. Which means 1080 food. I think the 800 food mentioned above is an error.
  15. FAQ about mules

It's late and I'm tired, but... 9 hours = 1080 food (or 1079 food + 1 glyph). So where did 800 come from?
  16. Restocking bot at sto

And how does a bot gets stuff into his own storage? For example, the owner of the bot wants to restock the bot with 1k iron ore, how does the iron ore gets into the bots own storage, so that it can restock from storage? Piper Two ways I can think of - while the bot was being leveled prior to it being an official bot, it gathered things to sell later. It buys more than it has slots or EMUs, deposits into storage. Grabs later to sell at a higher price than it purchased at.
  17. Harvester medallion

No - it only works on gold and experience
  18. FAQ about mules

Real time and EL term are virtually the same. But if you are asking if you have to be in game? Yes. In game and in the form of the shapeshifted creature (i.e. Mule). Does not have to be 9 hours straight, just 9 hours total
  19. Gossip

1 - Gossip and owner (Scafativ) are no longer in CEL 2 - Last I heard, Scafativ was VERY busy in real life. I'm sure that when things calm down for him he will work on fixing some of the features like "about" 3 - In the mean time there is the players online page for some information (when players are not set to privacy)
  20. FAQ about mules

I'm sure we'll find out once the server is fixed. But doubtful it is consecutive
  21. Crosslinks for the ency

I have a feeling that adding all those links manually would be very time consuming and prone to lots of errors and typos. There are some fan sites that are database driven that do work like that. Personally, I think the in-game encyclopedia does a great job as being a quick on-the-fly reference!!
  22. explination of my behavior.

Item wipe would affect just the items you have in your storage and on your avatar. Knowledge (books read), skills, attributes, nexus and gods worshiped (if any) would not be affected
  23. Problem: Group or guild projects in a mine or at some harvestable. Bag(s) are used to hold stuff as it's being muled or mixed. Oops! A tele-nex later... or switching who has access to the bag and someone invisible or just quick jumps on the bag Problem: Communities grow and establish laws and a method to enforce them. In this virtual community it is nearly impossible to enforce a law like "Don't bag jump" other than trade bans or threats of PK, both of which have easy work arounds. While the below suggestion isn't a true form of enforcement, it does allow for the ability to counter a negative action. Solution: A mine is placed in the bag (or at the spot where the bag is to be located, i.e. USED so it exists at that spot). The owner has a RC device. Someone jumps on the bag, activate the remote and they are tele-nex'd off of it. Issues: Not all tele-nex moves you. If there isn't an available spot, the RC could work and the person would remain on the bag Issues: A bag jumper could line a crowded resource with several such mines and hope that someone would bag at the spot a significant amount of st00fz before the mine expired Issues: The costs of the mine, RC or both would have to be somewhere between 1000-5000 to make. It would be like a saving stone and since it could potentially save you a lot of time and st00fz, it should have value. But not so expensive no one would want to use it.
  24. Test server issues

If you can't login to the main server, I don't think posting to the test server thread is appropriate. Try the help forums. And please post information that can be used to diagnose the problem. "My baby is dying"? What does that mean? And you have 3 mother boards and 5 hard drives... so? Try information like when you log into the main server, what happens? What error messages if any? What does your error log have in it? Is this a new problem or an existing problem? etc etc etc. And again, post in the help forum please. Get your overall problem fixed before attempting to go to the test server.
  25. Harvester medallion

My stats aren't as detailed as Mar©'s, but... Gold Coins: 33315 (553 bags) Experience: 705169 (243 blessings) Medallion breaks: 53 Gold per medallion: 628 Experience per medallion: 13305 Notes: I *try* to only use harv medallions on tree shrooms during xp part of harvesting. I do some times forget and have lost medallions elsewhere. And obviously some of the xp/gold I got was b/c I was out of a harv medallion but I didn't go through my logs to pull out those instances. I have a harv med with me about 99.9% of the time so the averages are VERY close to true.
