  1. That will be a long time for me since I have high Rationality. Only 22/440 so far so my question is" Do Fast Regen areas affect this?" It definitely screws those who have Power Saving Perk and might screw those with Power Hungry Perk; too bad there is no stones to remove those perks!

  2. As for mirror, i'm not sure. If i had to bet one way or the other i'd say that no, you can't break stuff from a mirrored hit. But i'm really not sure on that one.

When I first started hunting hawks I often had items broken due to hawk's mirror effect. I could tell it was the mirror effect due to amount of damage which was done.

  4. A big factor is human nexus level and what equipment they have. I have seen low OA levels fully loaded in CoL or RDHoLaM, dragon armor and great swords; I guess they got rich friends. Equipment can make a big difference.

  5. Enjoyed this one a lot more than the one which was supposed to be 100+ and started w/swarms of mountain chims after long delay.

Spent a lot of time picking my spots and engaging, disengaging when something I could not handle caught me. Got one decent drop. something I did not get at all on the series of invasions previous week which resulted in inflation of rostogol prices previous week. Invasions last week were enough to question even bother participating.

Even though I lost a brick it was NOT because someone just threw a mega monster in crowd making it impossible to disengage and move but my own over confidence and because I was actually having fun!

I think the mute button should be used more often since the begging was getting ridiculous on invasion channel. Perhaps some penalty boxes could implemented which would freeze players making them able to SEE invasion but not be able to participate.

  6. I thought about this type of event before as run by player and too difficult. Fun to design especially if you have control.

Not sure exactly why A/D is factor for there can be those who practice magic / mixing / summoning a lot but not fight, If you can avoid creatures that should be just as good. I suspect lower A/D players will be guild mates or alts of friends. Mixing in invasion may help and hurt. Not sure how you were planning on having invasion monsters opposing teams and what would prevent players from just going there to kill the monsters. It would also interfere with those who just want to normal things in game and not everyone reads forums.

In any kind of race you need to either exclude or allow speed hex potions. Expect higher level A/D teams to need to use Teleport to Range spells and probably will use that in addition to places where needed.

Use of teleport rings could be allowed or disallowed as can portal access as long as you can see invisible players if disallowed.

You also need to be able to deal with friends of team which interfere with opposing teams or those who just want to be Moraths.

In terms of routes I prefer those that connect via non surface ways like thru PV tunnel system to Zirak (very good place since players rarely there), VotD to NC caverns, WV-AA, etc.

If you need help designing it and did not want it public send me a PM.

  7. Plus a death occurring in occasional invasion which occurs in KF would also put you right back into invasion! No this is designed for a very small subset of players who do not want to spend points on PP and want to not to be interrupted.

A solution is a shop only item which is used up when you die - a respawner. It could also restore you and put you exactly where you were providing an infinite amount of $$ to shop. A rostogol ++ with equivalent cost like a glowing sword.

  8. Part of the solution is a random factor. If the requirement for quests are not so much the same because you need to do different things, perhaps in different orders then a cheat sheet does not help as much. Add possible changes per release and then it requires the person doing the quest to at least be more involved in quests. Some could be like mixing where you need to make something in presence of NPC to go to next step.

  9. It would add balance to have negative days to balance (even if not in same numbers) positive ones.

There is already a Green Day to balance Day of Aleksei Stakhanov. (Harvesting).

Day of No Magic (w/o affecting teleport rings) would balance Day of Magic (Magic).

Day of Dark Ages (with engineering items not working as well) would balance Day of Alfred Noble (Engineering).

Day of No Call (w/summoning stones not working as well) would balance out new Day of Summoning (Summoning).

There are no specific Potioning, Tailoring, Alchemy or Crafting Days.

I hate bad days as well but too many good days can ruin game as well. I do not know how odds are calculated but if a skewed balance is desired then every time a bad day is used it should increase chances of opposite day and reverse as well.

  10. It makes a lot of sense. Maybe have shops closed on some maps 5:30-0:30.

It also does not make sense that all shops have same items or are same price. A shop on winter map is not likely to have cactus as an example. If items and prices varied then more interactions would be done with NPCs. Sample conversations:

"Hello. I am having a sale - buy 5 pickaxes, get one free. Offer is good as long as I have a surplus"

"I am very short on cactus. Today I will pay 0.6 gc for cactus".

It does not make sense that shops sell more than 36 unstackable objects.

Many have commented that prices in shops are unrealistic. 'Magic' shop sells gem paper for 10 gc each and buys polished diamonds for 25 but the recipe for polished diamonds requires 3 pieces of gem paper.

Of course this does not matter much since all of the "important" players have antisocial perk.

  11. Circumstances have changed since original post since now there quests which use black panther, leopard and tiger furs as well as 2 more quests requiring annoying honey comb.

I disagree about skill potions not being used; I use craft/engineering potions regularly when making large batches, expensive or difficult items. Have definitely got my money's worth and even provide them to those making items for me. Occasionally I use alchemy potion and would use manufacturing potion but blessing is cheap.

Small dragon scales are not used but sold so they could be used for those potions.

For ranging I'd suggest some horns since I agree it would usually be used by sport hunters or those who are killing things for Haidir/Novac and bonus is worth more than experience for kill.

    Suggestion:

    1 small dragon scale

    4 deer antlers

    3 feran horns

    2 hawk feathers

    2 falcon feathers

2 each of red, green and brown snakes (no items use them)

    1 Cockatrice feather

6 bones (for Phantom Warriors since their experience for fighting is so low)

10 Tree Mushrooms (barely market for)

None of these items except Cockatrice are particularly hard and archers could gather many of the ingredients and bring them to potioner.

  12. 1. Im just curious if people would want something like this

I certainly would. I tried to watch one of the big battles and was told they would offer no protection nor punishment for others non armed and neutral.

Best way would to be for map to be modified to create a no magic, no combat tower accessible via portal from other maps. Players could not leave area to engage. Maybe even charge a small fee. But I do not think those who want to just watch are much of a priority in game.

  13. Basically when I see an ACW I immediately leave as I do when I see a dragon so I am not participating.

It is your game but if current invasions became tougher then you will be disencouraging newer players from being on those maps and considering that they occur on lower level maps (VotD, NC, WS, PL, MM) requiring no more than armed skeletons you are encouraging them to not play or at minimum change plans and go some place else.

The reason for suggesting the other maps was so those who do want those type of invasions and are built to be fighters would have more invasions without mods needing to run it. So I was recommending some other invasions elsewhere so those who like them could go to them and would not likely be on maps where others unarmed harvesting would be impacting.

  14. C2 has been part of game for long time but only dragons have automatic invasions on C2.

Some other maps on C2 should have some and some of the larger maps would be good candidates. Have invasions come out of AA mine, WV mine, Hurquin Crypts and Irinvernon would be good candidates. An invasion which could poor out of two maps since both accessible via mine would be interesting.
