    Your chatlog, counters, questlog etc. should still all be there. They are stored in your personal settings folder. Installing EL 1.9.2 doesnt touch that directory. Perhaps you installed on a different comp or changed your persoanl settings directory meanwhile.

     

    To get your chatlog pieces into one file, go to command prompt or w/e and join them binary like in this example:

    copy /b chatlogpieceA.txt + chatlogpieceB.txt chat_log.txt

    OK, thanks for your help today Raistlin and i think i've managed to merge all of the messy documents together with a working chat log and a seperate chat log which was the old one.

    Although my counters and stuff still arn't there, for now at least my logs and stuff are working fine.

    Hello, I have had this problem since the newest patch of 1.9.2 came out and bared it for a while..

    I don't think anyone else has posted about this problem but if i'm wrong please can you let me know where to look.

    However, the problem is that once i installed the patch, i noticed that a few things were no longer there, for example my counters were wiped, quest log was empty and so on..

    Also, what i think is most important, is about my chatlog - the chat log that i have had since 2008 and has been updating itself since then, no longer does that and it contains all text from 2008 up until patch 1.9.2 and i now have a couple of new chat logs which seemed to come with the new patch and which did update for a bit..

    But once i tried to fix the problems myself, all the chat logs stopped updating themselves, leaving me with about 3 chat logs and from now on, everything posted, like a message - isn't logged and saved on record in any chat log.

    It wouldn't bother me too much but i feel like chat logs are quite important because they can be used as proof if ever needed and they keep a record, as well as the fact they are nice to look into for memories about comical things people say..

    As for the other things that seem to have gone like counters, i can put up with and start from new but i could really do with my chat-log(s) working again.

    People in-game have tried to help me with this problem but i've decided to ask on forums for wider help.

    Okay, firstly, i find this great!

    I can now talk to friends within EL as if it isn't even a game... Before, i was not going on EL as much because i would have to be sitting there not doing anything (due to being busy doing something else online), while getting hungry if i am not wearing grey cape, now i can go onto this and talk without any worrys. :)

     

    However i'm a little unsure about which one to download..? I first downloaded one at the top, works and is great but should i have moved onto the other ones now? Thx, any help is help. :)

    Surely Entropy understood that a relative probably loged in from her computer and i really feel that he should not have posted something like that, on a page dedicated to Sunny..

     

    Umm, I didn't.

    Nevertheless, I wanted to make sure this information is real, it wouldn't be the first time people lie on the internets.

    Anyway, condolences to the family and friends, it is always sad to hear about players dying.

    Okay, i know some people lie, it is just that you came out with it on its own, without showing any sympathy at all..

    Thought it was inappropriate.

    So why did she log in from the same IP after the death?

     

    To all who have responded with warm thoughts and well wishes for all. Our family would like to thank each of you very much. She was laid to rest today. And i surely will miss her the most as she was not just my cuz she was also my sister and friend in life. And as she was also using a service dog named bouncer. I thought she would very much like to see her stuff go for a good cause. (bouncer now in my possession)

    Why not, the login came probably from her own computer by relatives, looking through her stuff, thats not uncommon.

    In fact should be done in such cases at any rate. Added to the fact that candi made the quote i put in earlier in this thread

    there should really be no subprise that someone logged in allready as the raffle her inventory was to be donated to (as her service dog was a joy in her life) in relation to her death, especially if someone like candi has announced to "donate" it..

     

    Please Radu the way your words are not appropriate for such a thread like this. You are a resourceful l person and should have other ways to contact the people who are informing us about it.

    Well, i voted that they are okay.

     

    If they became more expensive, people would mix too much and in the same way i think the EL market would kind of get more boring and an aspect of the game gets lost, i'm not a big buy and sell person but i'm quite interested in the prices of items, if you know what i meen..

     

    Although at the same time, people do often take advantage of the the NPC prices with Bots, which isn't bad but thats where NPC/Bot prices clash and doesn't quite as well somehow.

     

    Which is why i voted okay, because i think NPC prices should be NPC prices and people should work around or through them, whilst having in mind the Bots too.. to me i think Bots have a large part to play in the prices of NPC's, just as they are to Bots.

    Okay, i'll take this new post as a way to send a message to everyone looking for a guild! :hiya:

     

    The HOLY guild - a member of which i belong to and is also the only guild i have ever been in, i'm sure would be very happy for a new bunch of friendly characters to join us. :)

     

    The reason i have never left HOLY over the years, is because that is where my loyalties stand - they are such a friendly and helpful guild, which doesn't ask for really high levels, just people who we are proud to call one of us. :icon13:

     

    We like to do projects and events to bring the guild closer together but sometimes we can not always get enough people because they have other things to do outside of game as well, more so as we all get older, which is why a new bunch of friendly people to join our guild would be great because we need another generation in our guild to carry the HOLY name on! :)

     

    There are many guilds who call themselves a honorable guild, one of which we feel we are ourselves, which meens that we encourage the fact that you should obay the rules of EL and also to just simply be someone who people respect because you respect them, that means we don't like to have people in our guild who, scam, bj, ect..

    djem998 attacked gobbies twice after i asked him not to after he apologised

     

    Stronze said that he carried on AFTER he apologised - he didn't stop when asked..

     

    From the way that this is written it is not clear whether Djem998 attacked the goblins after being asked not to then apologised or was asked not to then apologised before continuing to attack the goblins. You may have more information on this than I do, but including supporting evidence or proof in the original post would have clarified this.

     

    Yeah, i have to a admit, it could be a little more explainable... if you know what i meen..

    Yes, i have to admit with some of the songs when they have finished your thinking to yourself, "what on earth was that!" :D

    And then they start to vote and that act is winning, it's like "is this a joke!" And before long, your country is bottom and if they deserved it then you say, "why did you pick someone to represent our country who we have never seen before! Pick someone who we know people like from our own experience!" And if they were actually good this time, your shouting "BIAS, BIAS! Thats right vote for your best pal neighbor!" :D

    But all good fun anyways... :)
