I moved my post from the general thread to this better location In the following I lay out a few examples/ideas how bombing could be tweaked to make it more interesting to use or less OP. (all numbers used are for illustrative use only and not final) 1. New item: Mine diffusor - When carried in inv it will react like a PD and will reduce damage from bomb by 0-100%, 1 use only. Price shouldnt be too expensive but still high enough since mines arent that cheap either. 2. Create a min ENG level for mines being used. Why should a noob engineer should be able to temper around with mines w/o having a chance to fail miserably? Example: RC mine has a req. level of 44 to be made, why not applying that to bomb layers as well? Lets say if a bomb layer has less than 44 ENG he should have a 50% chance to "crit" laying down a mine. Result: he gets 50% (or 100%) damage from mine and opponent only 50% (or 0%) 3. Change the formula for mine damage, so more advanced engineers actually make a difference. ATM a RC mine does 75+(ENG/5) damage -> a level 25 engineer does 80, a level 100 does 95 damage. So only 15 damage more with 75 levels more, that isnt enough imo. 4. Take the ENG level of opponent into account when calculating damage he gets. It's a bit like casting a harm spell, where the mag level of opponent is taken ionto account as well. Why not do the same to the ENG level considering mine usage? 5. Add cooldown for use of detonators/mines

Suggestion: Since there are already a lot of suggestions dealing with the individual topics concerning PK (bombing, summoning etc.) in this thread, we should make a new thread for them (or subforum or w/e) otherwise this thread gets overwhelmed with too many suggestions each dealing with different aspects of reviving PK and some posts get overlooked easily, because newcomers dont want to read through pages of walls of text. I already made some suggestions to improve bombing, but I read no comment about it except for one short "very good". http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56888&view=findpost&p=563822 I don't want to stand out here, pretending I got the solution to it all, but pls lets differentiate the different approaches in bombing, summoning etc. in a different thread and only use THIS thread for general discussions, it just gets too much otherwise and the thread will be 20 pages long tomorrow with noone knowing whats going on

Well, I am not in the 80-100 range, but want to say a few words here too. I have to fully agree with Tudaefadda here, this invance already has a boss mob (Yeti), it's high enough to give those people in 80-100 range a nice challenge already (esp. in combination with those MC). A giant has 145 a/d, and as it was mentioned already: Do you actually have an idea, how hard to tank this one is in your range? It has ~50 a/d more than most of you and crits big time. If you really want to spice up the invance a bit more, you can ask for more yeti perhaps. But giants? Come on, you must be kidding!

Just keep reading, you will finish it

Known problem, I already talked to a developer about it, and those "stops" should be fixed soon (maybe in next update already)

Looks like your PC hit a banned IP range. You have to whitelist your char for playing then. For instructions how to do this, please read here for more info. http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=29370

pointed me to the following: Imagine a (pre-)medieval knight, i.e. one of Artus' knights. Clearly a fighter oriented build, some of them might even be able to do some awesome manufacturing, let's say for example building nice sword's or repairing armors. Yet, most of them were not able to read anything, much more they won't even know how a quill looks like, or even how to use it properly. Would you really read a book from one of them for other reasons than the sake of joy? Far more read a book from one of them to learn something from it? I somehow doubt this. Dont forget you still need a level of about 100 in that skill to make a book, allrounders already have invested many nexus and level grinding. So what's wrong with that idea? An allrounder will almost never be able to compete with an allfighter build of the same level (different pp distribution, negative perks etc.)
-
I like this suggestion very much :icon13: Making AcP work like food (with negative level) is a good idea. This way, ppl with a different (more fighter orientated) build AND high mixing skills will be able to make books too, at the same AcP cost and waiting time. As allrounder I always want be able to do anything in game.

I really hope it comes soon again, I wait for ages now. I know it's a very popular day. If I am not mistaken the last day of recycling happened about half a year ago. I know it's a very powerful day and if happening too often it will mess up balance, but I think over half a year now is enough waiting time

I bought this book from Cantemir (info from eye-cursor): Book of Blue Dragon Sword - Contains the knowledge of Blue Dragon Sword Building. Weight: 2 EMU As I started to read it, this message appeared: You started to research Blue Dragon Shield. ETA: 833 minutes. Before that I bought a Book of Blue Dragon Torso Armor Building and completed it w/o problems. Note: Could't read it on test server for confirmation because Cantemir doesn't sell these books there yet.
