I'll get killed for suggesting this but: What if it were more interactive, like Runescape? EG. "Bee Swarm" stays in one place next to you and attacks you until you move. Or for teleports, whatever you're harvesting starts glowing and if you don't back away you get teleported.

Yes, they are both MMORPGs, but MMORPGs, unlike men, are not created equal. Plus, since RS and EL are both free MMORPGs there IS a point in comparing them, as they are the same type of game. Comparing EL and Age of Mythology (RTS) WOULD be pointless because they are completely different types of games.

All guilds are invite only! The guildmaster has to accept applicants. They can't just join.

RS might have a better community if there was continent-wide chat, but I think the community has gotten beyond repair. As for the issue with the forum, they DO have an on-site forum. Just scroll down on the main page. However you must have an account to look at it and must be members to post. This again shows just how bad the game community is. They are afraid of letting free-players on the forums because they think they would ruin it. I asked if anyone had heard of Eternal Lands in a busy place in Runescape. None of them even replied. I think Runescape is better if you want a single player game, but it doesn't have very good single player support. Like I said before, it's bearable as a member, because they constantly add stuff, but as for free-play they haven't gotten an update in just under a year. To give you an idea of just how bad the community is, I think they'd have to do a complete system wipe, and have them do an interview, to make sure they'd be kind to others. And then they would have to have a lie detector present to make sure they weren't lying. That is just how bad their community is.

Today i went to a horrible place called "School" or something. You know what? The people there are idiots, they have no idea what I mean by harvesting level. Most newbs know that! I don't want to go back to that mad house and their theories that instant travel doesn't exist. In addition, I looked at the top of someone's head, and you know what? They didn't have a health bar or name! I feel safe back on the computer. *sighs*
