  1. Something strange I came across

HAHA! I think somebody spends a bit too much time surfing to find something like that... Damn funny.
  2. Man (player) eating leopard

If you're a harvester wearing enough to need to carry a rosto, you'll probably be wearing a CoL, in which case you should be able to withstand a hit from this leopard. In which case, carry a dis ring too. Giving you time to run erm... walk away, there's little need for groups if my theory works.
  3. Man (player) eating leopard

Acelon's thread http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=39768 very well conflicts with this idea. Maps like Irinveron, Iscalrith, Trassian, Zirakinbar, and Kusamura, I imagine would be this leopards habitat. If people are living in fear of low population c2 maps, these maps will never be used.
  4. Making maps more used..

Sounds like most people are agreeing on more resources and more special areas. I don't think this will work because everyone will always pick the best place to do something and stay there. Also, to me, it sounds like players are only looking to make things easier for themselves. Considering the recent inclusion of attribute caps and skills that are harder to level, we shouldn't be making the map layouts easier either. I suggest moving elements which make maps popular to these low traffic maps. Many high traffic maps have multiple uses. Take Palon Vertas, for example, it has the closest cotton to storage (vegetables nearby), opportunities for PV/PK, and a cave with gold, coal and sulfur. (coal and sulfur both being in rather high demand on market). If one of these three elements that make Palon Vertas popular were to be moved to a low traffic map, I believe, it would increase the maps popularity without damaging the (originally) high traffic map - in this example Palon Vertas. This is my idea of map balancing. My second idea is to limit the amount which one resource (creature/harvest/npc) can be used. For example; If one or two players buy out all Mira's Feasting Potions (I'll leave it to you guys to consider the amount she'd have for sale). Any other player would have to go to Derzelas in Irsis until Mira's amount of Potions regenerated. By making limits on creatures, harvest items and npcs, players will be forced to move! On a minor scale, including an area to make silver bars and decreasing the crafting npc buy price could work to bring at least the crafters to one of these low traffic maps.

  7. Platinium Coins

I don't think it's worth the hassle of making a change to use platinum coins. If PCs are going to be brought back, all trade bots are going to have to be changed to accept them If they were only used in a few specific maps, it could create an unbalance between those working mainly on c1 to c2 (if exchange rate stayed) It's not really 'convenience' if you have to walk ALL THE WAY down to the tavern for the exchange; when the gc you have is just as good. I'm quite happy with my gold coins
  8. Complainers of the World Unite.

It doesn't matter what game you're playing, THEY are there. lol. Sad thing is most don't realize they do it (denial perhaps).
