    Agree 100% btw, i'm in the 2nd category There is this new device, called pen and paper. I heard it offers a lot of flexibility, you can arrange your quest notes the way you see fit and stuff. Yep, just a suggestion to improve your game, take it or leave it. We have a notepad in game, yes? We have counters? Knowledge log? Current levels display? #sto? Numerous other things which could otherwise be done with pen and paper.

    Like most people, I've clicked the middle option. I'm happy to do all the quests and one day I will. So far I've only done/started 3-4. Why is my progress slow? Well, for one, I can't kill a few things What I'd really love to see is a more easily navigated quest log. Each quest with it's own section, sequential quest event history, and etc. And and.... dare I say it? I dislike the dialogue window - the contents of it is nice! (minus the cursing *tut tut*) Needs to be different font and portrait window shape imo. For now, will keep chatting to the new faces

  4. Is there any technical reason why this rock can't be moved? This thread isn't to complain, but to try improve the map - make it cleaner and more functional. Wouldn't we be worse to together see clear room for improvement and not try promote it?
  5. The rock is trivial? No it's not, it's very very significant! And it's very tempting to sit on that one tile and watch everyone flame up... EDIT: +1 it looks bad to new players too (who are in NC a lot)

  11. advice: never post that I have level 91 pot and level 65 crafting. Why is only personal use such a bad thing? I had use the potions for myself whilst training craft and made many for friends too. The formula is on par with the other skill potions. I've found that making them isn't too much hassle to be honest and the benefit is notable. Gordong, if you need help making them, feel free to PM me

  16. Harvester Medallions

    It's been decreased a few times according to updates. I have had great fortuneluck with my harvest medallions (only by my say so; finding it hard to measure using counters at the moment). Why guess when you might be able to prove? Perhaps you can use your chat logs to help prove the break rate and previous change in break rate? Harvest Events per an hour and harvest medallions broken. Thing is, you'd have to be sure of when you've used your harvest medallion and when you haven't; fingers crossed that you are a creature of habit I cannot quite calculate the averages myself as I've only broken one med... on this installation... which is about 3 months old now.     I'm not sure whether it's better for players to measure harvest medallion break rates by days/hours or by harvest events (which are now, very handily, recorded on the counters). For those whom use the harvest medallion to AFK harvest, the break rate serves a purpose of 'neutralizing' profits made from lazy harvesting/harvest alts. Wasn't this the point to the whole crusade? Of course the x10 exp/gc benefit isn't going to cover the entire cost of the item! If it did, we may as well be on the old harvest system - no mini events = no need to ignore (the last remaining benefit of the harvest med). Heh, and just food for thought, if the harvest med DID cover it's current cost of ~8000gc, would not the demand for such a brilliant item put the price yet again? The "convenience factor" will never make the harvest med cover it's own cost....well unless some crazy crafter pumps them out for less than the cost of ings, regardless of any reasonable break rate #edit: @The_Piper: I recall selling you 2-3 harvest medallions last year at ~7kgc ea, which you used at the Dung (rather newly added at the time), what has changed your opinion since then? Personally, I use harv meds every time a remember to get my harvest exp for the hour

Perks: Definitely fast regen. and maybe evanescence. Neg Perks: Scotty Died, One, I can't dance, antisocial. I'm not so sure about the above listed power hungry - You'll want food to restore mana for constantly burning for magic exp, carrying around extra food on low EMU would be annoying. Your high rationality should make levelling with Alchemy very easy. Gods: Alch, magic and def.

    Attributes capped as total pick points used or capped per each attribute? Capped per each attribute would favour people who are making a "DPA character" more than a regular player in that range. IE: DPA character would plan to have 20/20/20/20/20/20, main characters would be more inclined to... not do that, thus be fighting with about 20/20/4/4/4/8 then break the cap. If it's attributes capped as total pickpoints used, it lets main characters have more freedom with there build for training, mixing and etc. Perhaps total attribute cap? of 52-60(?) for a/d 40/40 arena? EDIT: Or... since people are concerned about too many perks as well... OA cap?

    I voted Yes, for one major reason! Items need to be cycled. We can't just have this massive collectors edition bulk of damaged dragon armour. What happens to them otherwise? It sits in sto. Assumingly the increase in chance to break would be only balancing with chance to repair (in a GC required way). Thus meaning, no real difference there as opposed to breaking and not repairing your dragon armour now. If there is any major saga with binding stones or others, increasing chance to get them a little wouldn't have any unwanted side effects... not that I can think of. Pro repair dragon armour

    I can't see PP buying being removed, mainly because it's a large GC sink! Also there's only about 50 players (OA ~150+) that can really benefit from buying nexus, and even less who truly benefit from converting that nexus to free PP. Nexus = 500kgc Nex Removal = 500kgc+ OA / Experience_per_an_hour = x_hours Vs. This many hours spent getting GC: x_hours * GC_per_hour Rough example 150 OA (23,874,792exp) / 200k/h = 119.37396 hours 119.37396 hours * 6,000 GC/h = 716243.76 GC GC < 500k = not worth nexus GC 500l-1M = nexus w/o free PP GC > 1m = nexus with free PP Worth getting Nexus, not worth getting free PP. But it depends on the player, the above is just a thereabouts. So really, what this relies on is foresight and p2p. Are you truly going to get the OA 160+ and still care so immensely or how much do you want to pay? And when you're not stuffing around getting pretend OAs, you're probably working on getting skill exp - which is worth even more in my opinion.
  22. Zamirah's idea is pretty interesting, but why gather and trade off all those capes, rather than wear one? Cape much better than perk anyway, PP cost means a lot more than any GC value. Maybe better to decrease arti cape drops?

    *read, skim, read, skim, reply* Heh, ironically, I don't think new players would detect most of these problems controversies without us here to point them out! A lot of players left because they got used to things a certain way (old harvest/pk/attributes uncapped and what have you....). New players, being new, aren't going to relate to that. Also, the matter of being able to buy and sell characters. The character still has to have the same amount of accumulative hours put behind it regardless of how many users. I can't see how being passed around amongst users or just having one owner affects newbies... they're new, it's their job to feel tiny (or else buy a character ) However, in other games, they do decrease the xp-per-level as the community progresses. Say, in early years, L30 is X exp, they'd drop the requirement 10-20% over time so lesser players can catch up. But in a way, that's not fair either, so... *shrugs* Oh, and to drop a new bomb, how many games have a strong lifespan of +10 years? (Nethack? Pong? Rhetorical?) Maybe EL's just slowing down naturally... my two cents. Oh also, I unauthorizely declare the economy fine.
