I presume the recipe still does not show once you have the items in your inventory?

Are you using the option "Use New Format To Save User Files (.json)" located at the bottom of the Server tab?  If not, I suggest you enable that.  While the previous file formats tried to save/restore the current recipe, it was not reliable.  The old format user files are deprecated and will be disabled for the 1.9.6 release (though the client will still import them).  If you are already using the json files option, then we have a bug.

That option is enabled but this is still an issue. It's not that big of a deal so I'm not expecting any quick fix.  Let me know if/how I can help you discover the issue and I'll be glad to be of service.

Thanks for the information bluap.  When I get my pc on later, I will load the game up and do as you said and see if that works.  I actually never remove the items from my inventory.  I fill my emu as if I was getting ready to start a batch and log off so when I log on I can just start mixing but I have to add the items to the manufacturing window each time I log.

    I'll keep you posted.

  3. I'm having an issue that's not really that big of a deal but I'm curious to discover what is causing it.

I've been logging on daily and all I've done is mix HEs.  I switch between my laptop and my pc and the issue I am having is with my PC client.  Normally when I log off and then log back on at a later time, the client remembers what I had last in the manufacture window and I can just continue mixing.  Now, every time I log onto my PC client (EternalLands-Installer-Win10-64_1.9.5p9) I have to add the items back into the manu window before I can continue mixing.

Any ideas on what might be causing this issue?

  4. I have been testing out basic game play on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 ( Qualcomm SM6115 Octa Core (4x2.0GHz + 4x1.8GHz) Storage: 32GB Ram: 3GB) running Android 10.

Right out of the gate I notice that when I am walking around Morcraven Marsh I'm not lagging (on the store version I studder-stepped anytime I mapwalked to storage or back to cave).  Not sure if your client fixed this but it's now gone since the switch.  I haven't run into any issue fighting things but I haven't tested that extensively because I'm built for fighting right now. I would rely on some others to test instances or invasions with this version.

The camera system is a much need improvement and I'm glad you changed how it work.  It feels much more natural now.  Mini map is nice but I have trouble trying to zoom in or out on it, maybe make it so when the mini map is open you can use your finger to zoom in or out by swiping up and down?  If that's even possible but it's not that important as the mini map functions as it should (more a quality of life issue)

The biggest issue I see people having with the client is that they can't figure out how to open the chat interface.  I don't really have a suggestion on how to make that more user friendly but I find it works just fine.

For someone who just logs on just to harvest/mix/chat this client is more than functional and shouldn't be an issue.  I would be interested to hear some feedback from someone who does invasions/instances just to see how capable this client really is under more aggressive usage.

Well done bluap!  Really love what you have done.  One a side note: I have a keyboard and mouse hooked up my tablet and will this version get some support in the future?  Not needed because most wont play like that but some mouse support would really be appreciated! A right click on a mouse closes the client for example :P

  5. I tested this client out for a short amount of time.  I like the way you changed camera movement as it feels more natural than the bars that were there before.  Love that you added the long press option to simulate a right click option and those menus work great.  Minimap works great, it is a bit difficult to move around but that seems to be due to the fact that the area to touch and move it is small and I tended to move my character to random places trying to move it.  Not a major issue as once I got it in place where I like it, I don't have to move it again.  Well done.  I'll test some more in the days to come and give you more feedback!  Well done bluap!  Much appreciated.

  7. There are many menu options that can be brought up via a right mouse click on the regular client but cannot be done on the Android client.  Could there be a way to add a way to access the right click option menus on the android client?  Certain task would be much easier to work with having access to these options.  A example would be the "mix one" switched to the "mix all" option on the inventory window that would be beneficial for the android client considering the lack of screen space.  Even an added options section in the settings screen would be great if it could be done.

I'm in the final stages of re-working of the android client.  This is basically taking some the changes made for the original port and applying them the latest client source code.  The aim being to have one code base that can be maintained going forwards like the main client.  This request can do on the to-do list!

Great to hear bluap!  Thanks for the reply and thanks for the work you do on the client.  Great port for the most part!

  9. I downloaded Eternal Lands for my LG Stylo 4 from Boost Mobile.  It's running a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SDM450, 2GB ram, Android 8.1 Oreo 64-bit OS. (Not really sure these specs help but just in case.

I tried to change passwords on one of my characters so my son can log on and play but the client won't allow me to do so.  I type in the command as follows: #change_pass old pass newpass as instructed in help files and instead of the password change being successful it gives me a message explaining how to change the password.  They server or the client is acting as if it knows that I want to change the password but it's registering my input as being typed incorrectly.

I sent a #help in game and discussed with a mod but I decided to post here also.  If it is a bug that others may encounter they can find information here.

Thank you!  Great Port BTW. (Please allow us android users a way to mimic a right click would be my biggest want right now)

  10. Don't really remember when I started playing. Quit a while ago, came back and just harvested for the most part and mixed a bit then dumped entire storage to Ena and left again. I still check the forums occasionally to see what's going on. Hi to all my old friends and enemies. Hope you are all doing well.

lol "I will report You on the forums for the nasty things You said to me in PM so uhm, can You please give me permission to post a chat log so I can prove it?"

    @Entris

You Created the Alt "long" ago to bomb bots and at that time it was Unsafe to do so, You die You Lose! and after Your reset of the Alt now made it Safe, shouldn't You have reported that to the Mod team when You realized that You could use the None Drop feature made for Newbies to Safely Kill things just by adding some perks?

The alt was reset years ago to get the bomb perks. Not recently.

Ah ok, but You did find out about the benefits of the new No Drops levels later and thats when you should/could have brought the attention to the situation instead of using it.

Well I didn't really know till last week tbh. And I go naked with my alt so there was nothing for him to loose. The plan was to kill the bot and get back before the bot did to grab the drop or have a friend grab the drop and split it.

Which is why I said I agreed that there should be a risk on both sides for drops. From what I understand though there wasn't anything to even report. It wasn't a "bug" because the feature was designed for low lvl chars to no drop items which apparently was how it was being used.

Either way this whole situation has been a big headache. I apologized for it in another thread and as I stated, I'm done bombing alts. I wasn't doing it for bullshit so it's just not worth it imo if the past week is going to be the result anyway. I'm here to have fun not to be in long drawn-out disputes. So maybe you don't hang around in 6 but I can't begin to explain all the nonsense that went on because of some bot/alt spam in 6 with PK Central.

  13.

What makes you think that it should be fair for a guard bot to be allowed to kill and get the bot owners the drops but it's wrong when a bomb alt tries to kill the bot and get the drops it might have? That's one sided argument.

As I stated before, a guard bot shouldn't be allowed to kill and get drops in PK areas without running the risk of having the same treatment returned.

Many congratulations Paul, you just shot your own foot off....

Could not agree more - both sides should get a chance to gain / lose from the attack.

At the moment these low level chars are free to attack the guard bot at no risk whatsoever......

So currently - the bot stands to lose, the attacker can only win

No, you didn't read what I said... I agreed....

As I stated before, a guard bot shouldn't be allowed to kill and get drops in PK areas without running the risk of having the same treatment returned.

My thing was more that this issues wasn't brought up due to the bomber alts, but more about the spam from PK Central.

  14. Guard bots are not suppose to be safe but they are sure not meant to be attacked by bomber alts that is not risking anything at all either.

I don't know if this could be called a "bug" but if it is the bomber alts are breaking the rules for exploiting a bug instead of reporting it, they do use the knowledge they have of the game to do something they know they are not suppose to be able to do (level wise going by the main chars level) and take advantage of that.

So perhaps a rule to stop the use of the alts until this is cleared could be executed, who knows...

A newbie feature is abused to kill things without risk should be against the rules IMO.

Agreed guard bots are not supposed to be safe. It's PK, nothing is safe.

It is not a bug. It's game design. And let's break it down to reality here. The problem isn't the bomb alts. The problem is the @PK Central message spam and now there is a band wagon of people jumping on the bomber characters for it. If you were not seeing the PK Central messages this topic would never have been made. Fact.

And to weigh in on the misconceptions about abusing the no drop situation. This wasn't the case for a lot of bomber alts. It worked out as more a lucky feature. For instance, I reset my alt just so I could take the bombing perks some years back with Senzon/Shultz/Bigkav/etc so we could bomb bots and try for some drops. Didn't really have to lvl the char just needed to take some negs to cover the positive perks.

What makes you think that it should be fair for a guard bot to be allowed to kill and get the bot owners the drops but it's wrong when a bomb alt tries to kill the bot and get the drops it might have? That's one sided argument.

CherUT provided a way for people to not see the @PK Central messages so the spam no longer fills your screen. I would suggest trying it then see if the bomber alt's really "bother" you like you're all saying. I suspect that it wont. Out of sight, out of mind.

As I stated before, a guard bot shouldn't be allowed to kill and get drops in PK areas without running the risk of having the same treatment returned.

And due to what happened I really have no plans on logging on my alt and bombing guard bots anymore because the PK Central spam seemed to piss so many people off, not because of Asgnny's made up "don't be a dick" fake rule he made up. I've witnessed him personally verbally attack people in @@6 with no provocation which would violate his own fake rule. But I don't think that guard bots should be allowed to PK people/take drops without having the same risk.

    And last but not least......

What would you all have done if PK Central was here 6 years ago and there was no stop PK going on like it was back then? The spam in @@6 would have been 10x or more worse than these guard bot issues you're talking about.

  15. So the chances on an EFE are decided per individual based on their astro and possibly some global modifier. If they are skeptic, their individual astro modifier is always the same.

This means that it makes no difference whatsoever if I am the only person making FE-s or if the whole community is making them.

The thing I have a mathematical (probability) problem with is the part of the statement that claims that

your chances of making a rare is greater when more FEs are being created in the game

, since your chances should be completely independent of what someone else does.

However, if there are global modifiers that affect everyone, including skeptics, there might be times when more people find stones and/or make enriched items, regardless of their personal astro. Again in this latter case, everybody's chances are increased, but it doesn't matter if I am the only one logged on or if there are 200 people mixing.

The idea of what he stated seems like it might be correct. I'm far to ignorant of the situation to say yes or no but it sounds plausable. Is there any way that it can be tested?

  16. Just to update you all who cared enough to message me in game about this issue...

After a conversation with radu I found out it's not illegal to give out guild map locations and they are not considered game secrets.

I'm sure it was a misunderstanding by a moderator or moderators. All is forgiven and I hope we can put this behind us.

My actions with my alt was to have some fun, I didn't realize it angered anyone as quite often people in @@6 are laughing and having a good time killing guard bots (mainly CO bot).

So for starters I still apologize to the people I offended with the actions of my alt and after a day to think it over I will continue to do this event as so many poured in support for me over this issue. I just hope that the moderators can find it in their hearts to forgive me and help keep this event a active one. EL really needs events like this for its players.

    Sincerely,
