Hello Everyone how are you all doing today, Can you be a grochy old merchant/shop owner, can you play an evil demon or a Devine Ggoddess or even an Enchantress or healer.... If so keep reading! As some of you may Know I occasionaly set up mini quest contests. I spend a great deal of time planning them out, but am limited in number of people to participate in them. Here's the basic Idea an On-Call Clan called The Actors, Clan you ask? Well I'm a Proud member of The Guardian Knights (GarD) and I run a school in the Guild for Begginers and Warriors. As such I have no plans to leave my guild to create a new one. I'm sure that many of you are members of Guilds that you likewise are proud to be members of as well and have no desire to leave. So now here's the idea behind it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to write Mini-Quest type competitions. I enjoy it, I have many benefactors who support my contests by supplying items for prizes and assist in helping to design or provide items for the Quests themselves that I design. Unfortunately for all there well wishings and good deeds, some are not knowledgeable enough, skilled enough or have enough time to assist with the quests themselves. I usualy use members from my own guild, but sometimes there are not enough people on or people that are willing to help put on the quests. I'm looking for Die Hard Roleplayers, people who can get into the head, heart and soul of a charecter that I or someone else created for them to play. (Perhaps even creating a new charecter with that charecter specific name for the sole use of the quests that I or others create) Players who know EL inside and out and love it for all that it is as I do. Players who wish to contribute to the game and make it better. Now by mini quest's here's the idea. A story line, just like the npc quest, only it will only last for a short period of time in the game. There will be a goal and a storyline to follow to reach that goal. You would play one of those charecters in the story and if you are on, be on called upon to particpate in the quest. It might last 1 hour it could last up to 5 hours you would know ahead of time and be asked how long you can participate. Everyone who has participated in my quests before has enjoyed it, the people going through the quests enjoy it as well and appreciate the people putting it on. The possibilites are endless, perhaps you play a warrior in the game now, or you are an evil charecter, or you are an uber alchmist or magican. I'm giving you the chance to for a short while to be a someone diffrent, with a predetermined personality and story all your own. Think Shakesperian... If you'd be interested in something like this, and helping me out post here with an I"M IN One day you could get a pm that says "Meet me in #jc 555 for a quest" Now to think of how in charecter I want you to be able to get... remember that in Shakespear's days, the Queens and Ladies were all played by men. THat's right, even Juliette was a man. Can you get that into charecter and convince someone you are someone else completly, an insane alchemist, a sapper of Hope, A ranger with the keenest sight in the land... the posibilites are endless and all in my and other's imagination. Do to some unfortunate real world circumstances I will most likely not be playing EL in game for quite some time. I would hope that someone take this idea and run with it in their own way. Best wishes and best of luck to all of you... NeoSeS

The Guardian Knights aka (GarD) aka Guardians, have been recreated and are under new leadership and command. I wish them the best of luck but wanted to let everyone know that I am no longer assosiated with them any longer in any way shape or form. The guild co-leaders decided as a whole that the original principles and belifes of GarD were not enough and wish to follow a diffrent path. I assume the same principles are still in effect... but as I am no longer involved in any way you will all have to check with the new leaders of the Guild. Yes your right you can never be to sure who is hiding behind an email address, but if you were to implement an authorization protocol of some sort you would limit spam to some extent. You could also disable the Guest Reply in all forums so that only people with registered accounts could reply in the forums that were replyable *think I made up a new word there*. There is no perfect solution to the spamming issue... but there are ways to minimize it. Limiting the way someone gains access to the forums and limiting the number of forums people can reply in would be a start. -No guest posting -admin authorized accounts -only forums that actualy require posting to such as (Help, General Chat, Off topic, programming, Events...) Ones where user imput is actualy needed. If you do it this way then you will have less forums to monitor and maintain control over. -Make Abuse forum Message only forums explaining why someone was banned, if someone has a specific persons actions they think should be looked into... they could email and administrator or contact a mod in game. -Get rid of the flames forum Just some ideas that I think could help get the Forums back on track for you... THe people who are worth having around in the forums wouldn't have a problem with any of these I think. NeoSeS

Aright, lets see what Idea's we can come up with here to help this process along. -Get rid of the flames forum all together -Bans forum and Abuse Forum Make this particular forum, if you decide to keep it of course a special forum where only the players name and the reason for the ban are posted, I.E. only people that have the ability to ban are allowed to make a post and disable all reply capabilities. First post in the forum should be... (If you were banned and you think you were banned unfairly, contact the person that banned you, or other members of the developement team and it will be looked into. Basicaly just set it up as an informational forum, I've played for about one and a half years now and have never been banned yet... I don't know dosen't seem like it should be that complicated to me. Also with the Bell Canada thing... make a single pinned topic explaining what they have to do and who they have to contact to get that issue taken care of. -Announcements, News of Game updates, and Rules forums You could consolidated these forums and make one group called "Important Game Information and Rules" Only people with access to this forum would be allowed to post, no replies allowed... Gaming Community forum -General chat (if you want to keep it that is) -Suggestion -Programing and Bug Reports -Stories, Sound and Art (could set up one forum with all of them or leave them all seperate) And then of course good old off topic. Pinned (Flames, profanity and *going offtopic*) in the off topic forum are stricly prohibited and may result in a temporary or permanant ban from the forums. Off topic means non game related, it dosen't mean ruining a non game releated thread with information that has no point to the original post. I think that if you simply limit the areas that need moderating, get rid of the problem forums that cause the issues in the first place and effecitviely implement a disiplinary system... we may have a chance at saving the forums... So sad, I enjoyed the forums... occasionaly you could have an actual inteligent conversation and get information from people that was interesting and entertaining... I got the C++ for dummies book and it is a wonderful guide to learn from. I also would recomend the site that I posted in my original post linked above, the two of them should help you learn quite easily and quickly, provided your willing to put a little effort into it of course. I know what I belive and for me that's all I need. I don't need to prove myself or defend my belifes to others, so no I don't every take a stand for my belifes. If I don't agree with someone I just don't listen to them. I use to fight tooth and nail for my belifes, but eventualy I learned that I am going to belive what I belive and you are going to belive what you belive and neither one of us is going to change the others point of view... in a general since I'm sure you understand what I mean. It's easier to surroung yourself with likeminded people than it is to argue with people whose views and oppions are never going to change anyway. Why waste a lot of breath time and stress over something so trivial as the individual belifes of 6 Billion people. NeoSeS ** Your belifes count for 1:6,000,000,000 of the worlds populations belifes. How bout you Die you lose everything including some experience, you live and you don't lose everything and you get to keep all your experience. Here's one, how bout for alchemy when you are making higher level essences you run the risk of haveing them explode in your face, and when you manufacuter swords and armor the swords can cut you and the fire can burn you. I mean come on lets make the whole thing more realistic. I've often thought that it would be interesting to have a game where you played an actual person type charecter instead of an avatar and when your charecter died from some stupid accident or such you would have to start out all over again. The only problem is that you really can't creat a child hood or earlier for your charecter, but it would be quite interesting to see how this would work out in some game in the future. NeoSeS

Well of course monsters are going to stop attacking you after a certain level, don't get pissed off, just except the fact that your uberness scares the ogres... I mean, they're dumb, it's a known fact that ogres are dumb, just like their cousins the orcs and the goblins of course, but still there are limits to stupidity (I think). So don't go Boo Hoo, the Ogres arn't attacking me anymore... think more like this "Hell yea!" The Ogers arn't attacking me anymore, my uberness as a skilled fighter pwnds them into oblivion, they die of fright just from looking at me NeoSeS

I belive there is something, and that something is what you make it out to be. God's are the answer to the unanswerable question, there has to be something after death or so humans fear and because of that we created a higher more complexed something to explain what we don't and may never understand. I once read that the univers is always expanding and growing outwardly... perhaps one day when we reach the outer limits of existance we will know the truth, but I belive there is something out there, something on the otherside, and something on the other side of that otherside with which we seek to find. We will all die and our belifes won't matter any more, until then we'll just have to fight wars, persecute and destroy the sancitiy of the society we exist in and eat cookies. I personaly perfer not to discuss politics or religion, there is no right answer and the people who are caught up in what they belive is right will always die of a stroke first arguing their points or belifes, even athesists who belife in nothing have that beliefe of nothingness which they too discuss and argue for and about. I hope that when the greater something chooses who will die, it picks first the persons who care so much about their belifes and so little about there lives first to meet their fates. There are more important things in life than wether or not there is a god, god is a since of who you are and what you belive you can either talk till your blue in the face deciding if it dose in fact exist or you can choose to enjoy the precious little time you have in this world before you find out. There is something after death, some worms open up a really big box and your are worm food, see we all have a purpose in life. Athesists are confusing they profess not to belive in something yet they fight for that belife of nothingness, go figure. Is god fate or is fate god... will we ever know, and more importanly when we find out, will it still matter anymore? I don't know, I don't care, I'm gonna go eat an Oreo now. C-ya all later. NeoSeS
